About a month ago, I left some red spots on his back near the waist, which were resected. Also in the arms, which are dry and virtually disappeared. Others are still in the outskirts of the axillae and nipples, still red and sometimes I get itchy. They are more scaly and red when I shower with hot water.
As I said before, these spots are red, sometimes cause itching, are scaly and look like "wrinkled".
I have someone with red blotches on his face starting from his hairline down the side of his face to his chin. Whenever he is in the sun, these spots get brighter and they itch. The spots are not scaly. Whenever he applies a dandruff shampoo to it, it eases and goes away. He has been told that it is the dandruff that has run down to his face.Others say that it is his high alcohol consumption which is in correlation to some liver disorder. The spots tend to look like ring worm but not exactly.
I have a problem with my scalp which I have been to my doctor about twice but without success. I regularly get spots (like face spots) on my scalp which can be puss filled or just red aswell as some itching and alot of flaking. I have no idea what is causing it however the symptoms appear to be at their worst after my hair has just been washed and dried. The spots and flaking then become a real problem.
I tried a dandruff shampoo that contains zinc pyrithione, but this time I rubbed the shampoo directly on the spots instead of just the foam. My ears and groin are still red but the scales and scabs are virtually gone in less than 10 days and I only itch when the skin is wet (sweat or post-shower).
Hey, this works. And I'm tired of itching. And now parts of my scalp are itching, on top of the ears, face, chest, belly area and groin.
and shoulders its getting worst.. please somebody help me out on this.. what is this.. its flaky dandruff like.. white spots.. not red.. rarely itches.. please.. what is this problem any cure so i can buy something.. i try to hide it with lotion and stuff but its not removing it.. its getting worst and worst..
hi, i have a 11 year old son that has 2 small red, raw spots on the top of his head/scalp. The rest of his scalp looks perfect. He has a crew cut so it is very easy to see. It itches him a lot. I know head lice is sometimes in school, but i have looked very good and see nothing of that nature. I only see some light, flaky dandruff in some parts. Pls help. thx.
They have large flakes when my hair is a little long (1/4 inch or more) and they just look like big dandruff flakes. If i scratch it off, its red and hurts. I have been shaving my head over the last couple months, and when I do that, they don't appear, but if i stop shaving for a couple weeks, then i get them again. I also have been getting a boil or two on the top of my head at least every other week.
My black toy poodle who is currently 2 years old got dandruff. At first it was only dandruff but now her hair is shedding. She's got bald spots over her body. We only give her dog food for her diet. Only within the last few months, I've been getting dry flaky spots on my face. If I scratch them off, there's a red dot underneath, and if I use a drying soap, it looks like a crater later. I also get scabs and sore spots on my scalp, which a dermatologist told me was seborrheic dermatitis. Is this the same thing? Would it have spread to my face for some reason?

My sister has whitish spots on her face near the hairline. its mostly near the forehead and little on the cheeks. she also experiences a burning sensation all over the body after a bath/shower and skin turns reddish in some parts. also she gets 'goose bumps/prickly look/small boiles' on her skin... what is the reason? she also has severe dandruff. pls do reply. thanks.
I have a similar problem, small itchy red spots in my hairline and if I itch them they bleed, then scab, then itch again... I just found one on my forehead, but until now they have only been on my scalp. I have had my hairdresser check for knits, she didn't find any and continued to do my hair, so if she thought it was anything sinister I think she would have thrown me out of the salon.
I first started getting dandruff a while back; now I have spots that are very visible, especially when I get out of the shower. They don't really itch or hurt but they do have a redness to them, but its just really dry patches; I've tried treating them with over-the-counter dandruff shampoo but to no avail. I also have a dry-skin problem on my face and my doctor gave me Ketoconazole cream which helped, but the same cream does not remedy my scalp problems.
These spots come and go. They will go away and then I will wake up and there is bright red spots that are sore. The spots sometimes get "oozy" and will have like a clear fluid come out, then they get flaky as it heals. There is one spot that is pretty persistant. I have tried a hydrocortizone cream along with cephalexin 500 mg from my dermatologist. This worked and cleared it up for several weeks, I continue to use the cream and now it is coming back.
My scalp will be red with blood, but it is a clear liquid that makes my hair stick together at night. It started about 3 years ago and then went away and came back last year and never cleared up. When I do itch my head, I have these big clumps of scabs that come off with it. I have tried T-gel shampoo and nothing is helping. Can you suggest anything? I have also put neosporin on them.
The first time she got it was a few months ago, it started off with a severe itchy scalp and red itchy spots on her neck/back, then she woke up with a shock, her scalp was covered in yellow crust, it was awful she was so distressed, i had to get it out with a nit comb. That time she was suffering from stress.
Now once again it's happening, the weather here in England has been 30c and she works in a School kitchen with no air con so you can imagine how hot it is for her.
t seem to have made much of a dent in the dandruff. Like I said, the dandruff is minimal on some days and heavier on other days with seemingly no rhyme or reason.
I've tried adding some olive oil to his food, and even rubbing some on him because I read it might help, but really when I massaged some olive oil into his skin it almost seemed to make the dandruff worse.
What do you all think? I have read they sell dog balm and dog moisturizers, which I'd never even heard of before.
I developed an itchy spot on the right side of my scalp, just above my ear a few months ago. I would itch it, it would flake off, and maybe bleed. I thought it was dandruff. I used a whole bottle of dandruff shampoo, not one day of improvement. THEN about 2 months ago, I got a circular spot on my mid back. It was red with a sort of dry skin look to the center, and itched like crazy (I could not itch it, I could not reach!).
