2078979 tn?1332206668 Its anyone else having dandruff now that you're pregnant? It is so annoying....if you do or did what are you doing for it?
Avatar m tn I did have a slight problem with dandruff. Some nights I would massage coconut oil into my scalp then wash it out the next day. This worked very well as the dandruff was far less noticeable the day after the oil application. Still, I couldn't do anything about fixing my hair texture. I read that the sudden change could be related to a hormonal imbalance or be the result of a serious illness.
Avatar n tn Try NOW Jojoba Oil. I used it and it worked for me. it does take time but it worked.
Avatar n tn I recommend using Now brand Jojoba Oil! I f you can't find it in your health food store or cosmetic store you can buy it online! All you need is one drop in your palm to do your hands. I start using it before the winter starts as my hands would get chapped and I would get fingertip cracks.
Avatar n tn Try jojoba oil (pronounced ho-HO-ba) You can buy it at any health food shop. Provides all day moisturization jojoba oil doesn’t evaporate like water based moisturizers can. Very stable jojoba oil does not become rancid or lose antioxidants even after long periods of storage. Spreads well and absorbs well. The organic variety is free of pesticides, GMOs, and is sustainably farmed.
Avatar n tn I have the same exact thing. Dr does not know what it is. It came on after I had a weird reaction to aspirin -- took it on an empty stomach like a numbskull. He has treated me with prednisone, ranitidine (H2 blocker) which was great for heartburn but didn't make the itch go away, loads of antihistimines -- pills and topical creams, antifungal topical solution, etc. I think the problem is he is trying to treat the symptoms and the underlying cause is not related to the rash/itchyness.
883279 tn?1244102594 Hi, if you would like to use a natural product to help fade acne scarrring or repair sun damaged skin, then look for an oil that has Vitamin E (or even break open a Vitamin E capsule and smear it into the damaged skin). My favourite is Jojoba Oil which is high in Vitamin E and suitable for all skin types.
Avatar f tn t wash and it feels sore in some areas. I put oil on my hair right before washing, I use olive oil or jojoba oil, but I read that they contain oleic acid, so not sure if I will continue that. Should I continue to use oils? I am afraid to use conditioners as I don't know if it is helping? Also, I was thinking of using shampoos that do not contain sodium lauryl sulfate? will that help? Some people have even recommended putting brown listerine after washing with clarifying shampoo??
Avatar f tn ih yes, hate this part!
Avatar m tn The vet gave me salmon oil for Akira to help with her constipation. It also has helped her chronic flaky skin on her back near the head of her tail. It comes in a squeeze bottle. The initial cost was a little on the high side, in that it costs a little over $20, but it's very little money when you consider that for a cat you only have to use 1/4 teaspoon per day, which is about two or three gentle squirts from the bottle I got. The brand is Life Line.
Avatar n tn s caused by the cold weather! Go to your health food store and buy Jojoba oil put a drop or two in your palm and add your hand cream and rub it in. use it at least 2x per day. P.S. when you wash don't use hot water as hot water dries out your skin use luke warm water.
Avatar n tn I had the same odor coming from my scalp.. tried it all- tea trea oil, acv, coconut oil, medicated shampoos, etc. One thing is working for me is CITRONELLA oil. First I applied it every night for 3 nights and this cleared the odor. However the odor came back after a week so obviously whatever infection was on my scalp wasnt killed completely. Now I apply the citronella every 4 days and will continue to do so for a month.
Avatar n tn My Taz has bad dandruff too. I use a little bit of baby lotion- NOT oil- and rub it into his skin really well.
Avatar m tn go to a health food store and buy Jojoba Oil put it on before and after shaving. use just a few drops.
436973 tn?1217947089 The past couple of days I've noticed my cat has a lot of dandruff. she has had a little flakiness before, but this is quite a bit. Is this something I should be concerned about?
Avatar m tn I have one spot which has a slight outline around it w/what my dermatologist calls hypopigmentation. I was thinking about trying Ginger Essential Oil blended w/either JoJoBa or Coconut Oil, or Coconut Oil by itself. I have also read about things like Turmeric, Red Clay or even Nigella Sativa Seeds/N. sativa, Sappinda and Saffron. Some of these ingredients are in a product called Vitiligo Green. Has anyone ever heard of this product and is it effective for hypopigmentation?
Avatar n tn With regards to your dandruff, daily washing with an antidandruff shampoo may help decrease oil and cell buildup. There are plenty of dandruff shampoo available in the market today. Not all dandruff shampoos are alike, so you may need to experiment with them to find the one that works best for you. When shampooing, it is important to rinse well. If it still persists, stronger prescription shampoos may be indicated. Take care and keep us posted.
