9571159 tn?1419571005 I use johnsons baby shampoo n condition for hair I had same problem
Avatar f tn Wash it good, put baby oil on it and use a soft baby brush to brush the top of baby's head. It may take a while but it will eventually go away. They have special cradle cap lotion and shampoo but it really is a waste of money. Baby oil and soft brush really is best just remember to wash often washing really helps get rid of the flaky skin. If you take baby to the Dr or hospital they will laugh and think you are a nutball. It is nothing and lots of babies get it.
Avatar f tn Coconut oil, I also used aveeno for babies.
Avatar n tn My Taz has bad dandruff too. I use a little bit of baby lotion- NOT oil- and rub it into his skin really well.
7122105 tn?1407103099 I like to use all natural products on my skin like pure jojoba oil, almond oil, cocoa butter, and coconut oil...why would j&j use harmful chemicals in thier products for so long and now only change it because people have started complaining. I can't stand behind a company like that thier mind set is dollar signs and not healthy skin. Yuck!

1911870 tn?1345419009 Id honestly refrain from using the baby oil since even in adults oil and heat can cause a reaction such as irritation or bumps.
Avatar f tn ih yes, hate this part!
Avatar f tn At home to help moisturise the scalp you can rub some baby oil or coconut oil. Coconut oil has antibacterial, antifungal and anti viral properties. Best to get the virgin coconut oil. If you try treating your scalp with the oils, leave it on for as long as possible, or overnight and then wash your hair as normal. The family shampoo that you are using may not be suitable for your scalp. It may bee too harsh.
Avatar m tn The vet gave me salmon oil for Akira to help with her constipation. It also has helped her chronic flaky skin on her back near the head of her tail. It comes in a squeeze bottle. The initial cost was a little on the high side, in that it costs a little over $20, but it's very little money when you consider that for a cat you only have to use 1/4 teaspoon per day, which is about two or three gentle squirts from the bottle I got. The brand is Life Line.
Avatar f tn My baby is a month old and he has cradle really bad. And I'm using baby oil, well do thing it hurts him if I scratch It A lil bit.

Avatar f tn I've been using Johnsons baby oil along with Vaseline. Once I shower I mosturize my skin with both while my skin is a little wet to keep in the moisture. Try it and hopefully it works for you. My skin is sensitive so I cannot use any lotion or I'd break out but this method works great. Good luck.
2141290 tn?1349033141 when your hormones have a big change like having your child, your skin expels the sodium loryl solfate and other bad stuff like smoke and pollutants that are in the lotions and soaps you use and from the air around you, which is why you are breaking out, the hormone change also will cause your skin to dry out, try finding moisturizers that DONT have mineral oil (bad for your skin and dries it out really badly), or sodium loryl solfate (this is the soap skum you scrub out of your tub and sinks f
436973 tn?1217947089 The past couple of days I've noticed my cat has a lot of dandruff. she has had a little flakiness before, but this is quite a bit. Is this something I should be concerned about?
1608004 tn?1390770990 she only eats grain free food (both wet and dry) should I be giving her something to counteract this dandruff? maybe some sardines or olive oil or something. thank you!
Avatar n tn With regards to your dandruff, daily washing with an antidandruff shampoo may help decrease oil and cell buildup. There are plenty of dandruff shampoo available in the market today. Not all dandruff shampoos are alike, so you may need to experiment with them to find the one that works best for you. When shampooing, it is important to rinse well. If it still persists, stronger prescription shampoos may be indicated. Take care and keep us posted.
492921 tn?1321289896 I for got to mention I am on Zyrtec as well but I only take it if my itch/dry skin acts up and I am scratching all over and welts are coming up. That really helps to control the itch but I do use J&J to overcome the horribly dry skin.
Avatar n tn For the dandruff flakes you could try rubbing some baby oil into your scalp and leave it on for a while before washing it off with a gentle shampoo. It may be that whatever you were using before may have irritated your scalp. Best wishes.
