dandruff in newborn baby

I had my daughter on 3 wks ago how many times a week do u suppose to wash their hair and do u put anything in it or not I'm a ftm so this may sound stupid to some of you but I washed it once last week and her scalp looks dry and like she starting to get dandruff please help

I use baby oil in bubs bath and baby moisturizer between bath days. :) I was told its a sign of being over due but my bub was early and he's still got it.

Lol cradle cap is dandruff on an infant use olive oil and a comb for a couple of days to get rid of it. Baby oil works too but olive oil is better.

Baby oil is for mosturising after a bath, it stops there skin getting dry, you can also use it to get rid of cradle cap

My Taz has bad dandruff too. I use a little bit of baby lotion- NOT oil- and rub it into his skin really well.

Hi I've had this problem for my hole life I'm 14 weeks pregnant i went to visit my doctor a month ago for the same problem and she recommend me the HEAD & SHOULDERS CLINICAL STRENGHT DANDRUFF ITS DOCTORS it's the only one that comes in blue bottle use it for 3 days the other days use your choice of shampoo but wash your hair everyday GOODLUCK HOPE IT WORKS IT WORK FOR ME I LOVE THE SMELL OF IT TOO

So I know pregnancy causes dry skin. Today I just noticed I have dandruff :( and my lips are chapped and they never are :( did y'all experience this?

I experience a lot of itching in them. I oil my scalp regularly and use an anti dandruff shampoo but so far no improvement. I have 4-5 such patches on my scalp and every time i brush my hair, a lot of dandruff comes out. Someone please advise!

i dont know if its dandruff or wat, but it doesnt come in flakey form. it comes in tiny hair forms. they are white dust like particles which are in my hair and they never run out. what may the cause be and what should i do to stop it? i used to wash my hair every day/twice a day if i play ball. for the last 3 days ive tried shampooing every other day, but i do still wash my hair with water. but no good, there are still a massive amount of dust in my hair. What sort of illness is this?

Yup for 1st time in my life n secound baby n I got bad dandruff it sux. .n to top it off I cant use anyy kind of dandruff stuff cause it irritates my skin so I dont bother.but im not sure where u are but im in nz n the doc can subscribe this reall good stuuf that ya can also use on ur skin I cant member watvit called but it pink n smells YUCK hence y I still havnt botherd with it haha..

Apply it twice in a week at night and keep overnight. There are many anti dandruff shampoos in the market which you can use. Comb your hair well and massage your scalp well. If dandruff persists consult a skin specialist. Once this resolves the lymph nodes will disappear on their own. Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. My friend had her baby 2 weeks ago and she was almost 8 pound. She was in 00000 for three days.

I had an almost nine pound baby that was in newborn clothes for almost a month. It depends on fit, really. My friend's little girl weighed less than my daughter but she was taller and only in nb for a week. Then another friend had a smaller than average baby that was in preemie sizes for several weeks before ever getting to newborn. I'd say buy six or seven newborn outfits and be prepared to wash them a lot or but more depending on baby's size.

Unless you deliver early you will not need very many newborn. My son outgrew them in 3 days. Just make sure you have enough that you don't have to do laundry everyday. She will spit up on her clothes but honestly in the summer I kept my son in just plain onsies unless we were going somewhere.

Well newborn can fit a 10 PD baby its basically the length that determines lol I'd pack one of each at least to be sure you got something

It all depends on the baby. My little girl was in newborn until she was two months. Than been in 0-3, still a bunch too big. And shes over 3 months now.

That's how I was!! I just got 0-3mths to be on tha safe side. Besides, when baby shower gifts come they'll probably be mostly newborn. If not & tha baby does need newborn you can buy some but it'll always grow into tha 0-3.

I know I got way to many newborn clothes which makes me sad cuz they're so cute! Maybe 30+ outfits, plus onesies to go under them. Then maybe 18 3-6 months and only a few 6-9 month outfits.

Size 2 is usually between 3-6 months in the beginning u need alot of newborn booties and size newborn if your going for shoe shoes lol

You can use the detergents that are perfume and dye free to wash the first clothes in to make sure your baby won't have a reaction to it since their skin is most sensitive as a newborn. But if that goes okay you could try washing a couple of onesies in your regular detergent to see if the baby can handle it and test it out. If there aren't any reactions to the regular detergent you could probably use it for the rest of the clothes.

I think those are perfect, in case you have a small baby you can always buy newborn outfits after your little one is born. I don't buy newborn size because I have big babies lol but I have to get a lot of 0-3 and 3-6 because my husband is really picky he always wants his kids to be clean so that means at least 4 outfits a day.
