dandruff in my dreads

i dont know if its dandruff or wat, but it doesnt come in flakey form. it comes in tiny hair forms. they are white dust like particles which are in my hair and they never run out. what may the cause be and what should i do to stop it? i used to wash my hair every day/twice a day if i play ball. for the last 3 days ive tried shampooing every other day, but i do still wash my hair with water. but no good, there are still a massive amount of dust in my hair. What sort of illness is this?

Over the past few months ive developed dandruff i think then my head started to itch and now i have 2 hard bumps on the back of my head close to my neck and in my hair. its really irritating me what should i do?

I experience a lot of itching in them. I oil my scalp regularly and use an anti dandruff shampoo but so far no improvement. I have 4-5 such patches on my scalp and every time i brush my hair, a lot of dandruff comes out. Someone please advise!

Apply it twice in a week at night and keep overnight. There are many anti dandruff shampoos in the market which you can use. Comb your hair well and massage your scalp well. i am an 18 yr boy. i have a lot of dandruff and pimples on my face, neck and arms. I sleep atleast 14 hours in a day, drink a lot of water.

Other than that it can be due to pinched cervical spinal nerves, clot in a blood vessel, localized dermatitis or even dandruff. Peripheral neuropathy as in diabetes too could be a cause. It felt like someone is pouring acid on it. It even felt painful to move my hair in any direction. It was so excruciating I ended up in the urgent care twice. They ran a bunch of thyroid and hormonal tests which came back fine.

my scalp burns and hurts it flakes and somestimes the flakes harden to my scalp my hair stopped growing and has been falling out over the last year

I also have a dry-skin problem on my face and my doctor gave me Ketoconazole cream which helped, but the same cream does not remedy my scalp problems. Even with lotion on the dry spots in my scalp they still appear. Any help?

Hi hon, I hope to God that I didn't scare you in my earlier posts! That was not my intention at all. I was just trying to get you to look at different causes of skin problems, because many people aren't aware that skin problems can be caused by an underlying problem. A diet is only ONE cause of dry flaky skin. You could start with diet changes like adding salmon oil. That would be an awesome place to start.

If I leave the door open he sits there and whines.. If he has to use the bathroom in the middle of the night of course he purrsss in my ear and uses those very long whiskers to tickle me.. I think hes human.. And he loves a christmas tree... Especially a real one.. I really believe he used to be human lol... however, i have tried every single anti-dandruff solution they sell and most just make my head more itchy. its weird cuz my scalp comes off in larger chunks than i thought dandruff was. it is also slightly yellower. it is constant, i never have a break from it. its super embarassing too, because i cannot resist to itch it and once i start to scratch i can't stop for like 2 or 3 minutes. i thought it was dandruff at first, but now i don't think so. what do you think it is?

I recently shaved my head, I do this once every two months and I notice some round red patches that were not there before. They are completely flat, I had no hair loss in the areas and they are not itchy at all. The patches began hurting after I shaved my head. I am thinking tinea capitis but that's just a guess. t seem to have made much of a dent in the dandruff. Like I said, the dandruff is minimal on some days and heavier on other days with seemingly no rhyme or reason. I've tried adding some olive oil to his food, and even rubbing some on him because I read it might help, but really when I massaged some olive oil into his skin it almost seemed to make the dandruff worse. What do you all think? I have read they sell dog balm and dog moisturizers, which I'd never even heard of before.

I've had the same problem all throughout my pregnancy. I'm 25 weeks right now. I use coconut oil... and also loreals total repair shampoo seems to be the only shampoo that doesn't make it worse. Hope this helps!

t have dandruff but I have always had a sensitive scalp and too many scents in a shampoo male my scalp break.put in sores and these both always work for.me. They keep.my scalp well conditioned and make my hair smooth and shiny too.

When I rub my hands in her fur for a while, shaking loose hairs and dandruff, my hands come away slightly white, with a slightly waxy film on them. She smells very clean, and seems to keep naturally clean, and because I didn't want to get rid of her natural oils I haven't bathed her for quite a while.

I think this resulted in me developing serious dandruff. its been a problem for a while now. I think there is some hairloss and scalp is very dry and itchy. I never had dandruff problems before pregnancy, but once I entered my 2nd trimester my scalp is dry and I have lots of dandruff. Anybody else have this problem and a solution? Does it go away after the baby is born?

My Taz has bad dandruff too. I use a little bit of baby lotion- NOT oil- and rub it into his skin really well.

well its raining here today and Tweety went out in it she doesnt like the rain but its better than staying in ...She came in wet and I ot a towel to dry her, I noticed many white bits on her fur, got the wire brush and brushed her, it looks like dandruff do, cats get that ,its not flea eggs as when I looked through the magnifying glass you can se its like of flaky bits.. What can I do about it, are there dandruff shampoos .She's not been bathed as she hates water .Any ideas .

I am also going through similar dandruff, my question to you is how do I determine, whether my dandruff is a sign of psoriasis or seborrhoeic dermatitis? FYI, my dandruff don't respond to any of the dandruff shampoos I have tried so far, I have started using tea tree oil since 2 weeks & I massage it once a week. Any help would be highly appreciated.
