876805 tn?1240185863 s pretty much for scalp issues such as oily scalp, dry scalp dandruff, psoriasis..) and then this conditioner called american classic tea tree conditioner.. it's absolutely amazing, the first time i used it i could FEEL the difference, it was like such a relief to my scalp. The first one whatever is in it soothes my scalp and then the tea tree oil does something else that helps, no idea what but it feels so much better. Hope that helps a little bit!!
1351676 tn?1301339436 Hello, I have just started to notice my black cat has got dandruff,. How do I treat this?
9562964 tn?1416928231 Will the selection of shampoo have results on my dandruff and hair-fall? If so suggest a shampoo to get rid of both t.he things..
Avatar n tn I would suggest you to clean your hair frequently with a mild shampoo(you can use the ones for oily hair) and don’t apply any conditioner on the hair. Also you can shampoo twice during each wash and apply shampoo on the scalp without piling the hair on top. It makes sense to avoid the use of conditioner as it also tends to make the scalp oily. when shampooing the hair, switch from warm water to cool water after you've thoroughly rinsed away the shampoo.
Avatar n tn i am 21 yr old boy, in the center-back of my scalp there are small non itchy white bumps, seems like layers of dandruff , when i harshly comb at tht part then a lot of dandruff gets created, i use zpto and ketoconazole shampoo but these non itchy bumps remain.

Avatar n tn Will switching to a Selsun blue or dandruff shampoo help? What should I do about the pink flaky skin around my hairline? Any help is much appreciated. Its not itchy or irritating but it does not look good and I hate having flaking.
Avatar n tn I have never had dandruff before. The flakes are pretty big and there is this one spot where if i go to scratch my scalp it always bleeds. I have tried changing shampoos and washing my hair with cold water instead of hot but nothing has made it go away. I notice a reduction in flakes the day i shower but after that it gets worse. Im not sure if i should see a doctor or not. What could it be?
2040565 tn?1329854742 Hello, I am having an unbearable time trying to figure out if this mess on top of my head is dandruff or product buildup. A stylist said it was product buildup but no other stylists have mentioned it being that to me. She said it could be because I'm using cheap products...well I am not. I use Joico K-pak reconstruct shampoo and conditioner. On other days, I use Ouidad Curl Quencher Moisturizing Shampoo and conditioner. Once every 2 weeks, I use Paul Mitchell clarifying shampoo three.
Avatar m tn I would check K, D ,Calcium, and Magnesium levels or get a Dr to do it. Also, with scalp dermatitis it can be caused by dandruff Dandruff is caused by 3 types of fungus, so if you only use one type of shampoo it will never go away. I think using Cesium Blue, Head and shoulder and another... check the active ingredients on the back. Usually the two are because you are having a reaction to the cold. So, use the shampoo, conditioner, and lotion on your skin.
Avatar f tn It all started last winter with dandruff that I ignored(didnot use any antidandruff shampoos and was washing hair once a week) that turned into snow tons of dandruff and I continued to ignore it for about 4 monts (from Jan to April) During the month of March, I lost 4.5 lbs, and had a major certification exam in April, which I passed. then began the hair loss, I noticed it in the comb after showering (50-60 hairs) and when brushing (20-35 hairs).
Avatar f tn I heard baby shampoo but with my long hair i need conditioner to prevent tangles, no way I can brush tangles out of my hair right now . What have you other ladies used ?? Conditioner? Leave in cream, spray detangler?? Thanks so much !
Avatar f tn About a year ago I decided to live a healthier and more active lifestyle. I changed my diet and started exercising 4-6 times a week. I have noticed that since I started exercising, my hair texture has changed. It used to lay flat and smooth after washing and now, I wash it normally with shampoo and conditioner and air dry, it's frizzy. My hair has never been frizzy like this. I use a hydrating shampoo and have tried different products but there is still the frizz.
Avatar n tn It seems to me every time I am due for my period (or after it) I develop dandruff on my skin. Is this hormonally linked?
Avatar n tn hi im 25 years of age and i have oily dandruff scalp and my hair is not growing back is this some sort of skin disease on my head?
Avatar f tn Hello. I'm a 20 year old male and during the fall season of 2012 my scalp started really iching and my hair started to shed severely around the crown region. During this time I also had dandruff. This itchyness and dandruff persisted for about another 3 months, that's when I jumped on Nizoral 1%. It stopped the dandruff and the itching, but till this day I'm shedding and its very noticable. My hairloss started at the crown and has worked its way up to my hairline.
Avatar f tn This causes the harmless bacteria that live in the scalp to proliferate and feed off the oil, which produces the odor and may make the hair greasy. Secondly it can be due to dandruff can cause either an overly dry scalp with itchy white flakes that may be waxy or greasy, or it can manifest as an oily scalp with scales. Eat a healthy diet. You can also take vit B6 and vit A and E which are good for hair and skin. Try medicated shampoos for dandruff.
Avatar n tn Try using extra virgin olive oil on your Skin and hair. Use it as a conditioner to reduce dandruff and provide some moisture to the scalp. Wash it out the next day, but keep treating your hair with it to help with itchy, dry scalp. I think that's why a hot sauna worked best for your condition...the moisture.
Avatar n tn I would try using Neutrogena shampoo alternating with a dandruff shampoo. Avoid conditioner if possible. After washing hair, rinse in a basin of cool water with about a tablespoon of vinegar. Do one more rinse after that. If your city puts both chlorine and ammonia in your water system, consider getting a water filter that filters out both.
