Avatar f tn Hello, I'm moving along slowly. I'm almost 7 weeks. Is dandruff normal? If So is there any way to get rid of it? Thanks.
Avatar m tn I'm 26 and have been suffering from seborrhoeic dermatitis for as long as I remember basically. Over the years I've developed a routine for my face which I'm pretty happy with as my face got a lot better and the red patches basically never appear on it anymore but for the past two or so years I've been battling a new problem - red, itchy and scaly patches appearing on my chest and back and strong acne on my back. Avatar f tn Scalp benefits balancing shampoo by aveda. Their lines are expensive but you really get what you pay for. I was getting extremely greasy and flaky hair, I use Kenra and bed head products normally but went and bought aveda's rosemary mint and it totally changed my hair and scalp. No more flakes or itchy scalp for this lady (; the scalp benefits has even helped people with psoriasis.
Avatar m tn My son is 14 years old and had a trace of protein in his urine. What could this mean . He is very active. At the age of 7 he passed a kidney stone so I am concerned please help.
Avatar f tn A well balance meal, with simple sugar (such as fruit), carbohydrates, protein, and fat? First the body burns the sugar for energy, then the carbs get used, then protein, and lastly fat is used. I know the problem from personal experience!
Avatar f tn Hi Everyone, I was just hoping everyone was safe and sound at home, after the Springfield trip, just like Rosemary and I am. Sunday was a beautiful drive home through sunshine and pleasant temperatures. : ) I had an interesting Tuesday, as the pharmacy, that I work in, had an attempted robbery. Everyone is okay - he didn't get any drugs and we got a nice picture of him on the camera on the ceiling (not a really bright robber). I hope everyone else had a much less eventful day.
1916673 tn?1420233270 A good friend on here recently told me about an issue with the herb Rosemary and its interaction with dogs. I had never heard of this before, so I did my own research and the results were quite an eye-opener. I am a writer by trade, so I have put all of my findings in an easy-to-read short piece which you can find here: http://www.infobarrel.com/Is_Rosemary_Harmful_to_Dogs I would be really interested in what you think, so please have a read and let me know.

Avatar n tn then i started to develop light dandruff (white, very little grains) and seem not to manage to get it under control with normal dandruff shampoos etc. while googling dandruff i read that dandruff (but i assume heavy) can be a sign of hiv infection. then i started reading about scary high aids rates in portugal. especially as most new infections here come from hetero sexual encounters.

Avatar m tn But one ingredient that makes a big difference is rosemary. Studies show that adding it to ground beef and other types of muscle meat before grilling, frying, broiling or barbecuing significantly reduces heterocyclic amines. In a study published in The Journal of Food Science in March, scientists tested extracts of rosemary on ground beef patties that were cooked at temperatures from 375 degrees to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The extract was added to both sides of the meat before cooking.
Avatar f tn ve tried making my own using herbs I grew, such as Thyme and Rosemary wash. I have used Chamomille and Calendula as well. None of those seem to affect my skin and I do not break out, but they do no good either. I have tried Aveeno, Cetaphil, Neutrogena, E45, Oil of Olay, Nivea, Guinot, and countless others. Chemists, GP's and a few nurses had me use Aqueous Cream and Double Body, steroid creams, antibiotics, and other stuff, which did nothing at all.
Avatar f tn This I'd the first time Ive heard that you are supposed to avoid Rosemary when pregnant. I use it daily and have for a few years. I'm 31 weeks pregnant.
Avatar m tn Hello, For dandruff, eat a healthy diet. You can also take vit B6 and vit A and E which are good for hair and skin. Try medicated shampoos for dandruff. There are a number of over-the-counter shampoos available that can help. The most effective ingredients -- antimicrobials -- to look for are zinc pyridinethione, selenium sulfide, sulfur and ketoconazole (also available by prescription). If your hair is colored, don't use products with selenium sulfide or sulfur.
Avatar f tn Hi, wondering if anyone has an answer for me. I used to get dandruff on and off and I used head & shoulders or others like it and it worked fine. This winter, however, my scalp has gotten extremly dry and itchy and flaky, and sore from all the scratching. I tried a bunch of more heavy duty OTC shampoos for dandruff, but none worked. I used an essential oils scalp massage and that worked for a bit. Now it is out of control and driving me crazy.
