s happening to me as well, I have flaky stuff around my hairline and scalp, and through my hair. It shows everytime I wash and dry my hair and that's up I always have my hair up cause am embarrassed about it :( it really is ruining my life, I hardly go out because of it. I use the shame shampoo. Can anyone help?

It could be dandruff, which sometimes does affect the armpits or dry skin. Dandruff is due to the excessive shedding of dead skin cells from the scalp. As it is normal for skin cells to die and flake off, a small amount of flaking is normal and in fact quite common.
Malassezia(yeast) lives on the scalps of most healthy adults without causing problems.
I was wondering if it is possible to have eczema without the affected area getting red? I have had patches of dry flaky skin on my eyelids (upper and lower) for about a month now and I've been trying moisturizers and allergy medication with little help. First, could this truely be eczema and second how should it be treated when it occurs around the eyes.
It sounds like seborrheic dermatitis, which is an inflammatory version of dandruff. I have it in my eyebrows -- it's white and flaky, with no redness until recently, and it started off in one part of one eyebrow, and then it spread. Now recently it has spread to my entire eyebrow. I've tried a lot of things. Using Nizoral shampoo once a day seems to help a little. I also take the following supplements: evening primrose oil, multivitamins, cod liver oil, and sometimes, probiotics.
I am a 32 yr old male and this problem has been going on forever. I get red spot all over my face in my mustache bridge of nose sides of nose eyebrows and ears. They get really flaky and i pick at them if i don't people can see it and when i pick at it it leaves a red spot. My ears are the worst the inside of my ear is always really flaky all the time. I pick at it and it comes right back.

Hi, since last spring I've been getting dandruff in my eyebrows. It's almost always in the left eyebrow. I went to see the doctor about this around May and he prescribed an alcohol based gel because he thought it was some kind of infection or fungus and that the gel would get rid of it. The gel just makes my skin ridiculously flaky where it wasn't flaky before so I only used it a few times and stopped.

Recently about a year ago ive started developing some sort of rash on my face which has become more frequent in the past 3 months. the rash is white bumpy (sometimes red when its chronic) flaky skin that feels rough on my face if i touch. if you look at me from afar my face looks normal however, if u highlight my face in white light you can clearly see bumpy, flaky, rough white rash. id also like to mention that the rash looks white because of flaky skin.
I've have dry flaky skin under my beard and eyebrows pretty much all the the time. I apply moisterizer after my showers and in the mornings before work...to no effect. It doesnt itch or burn...just flaky and embarrasing because i look like i've been eating glazed donuts or soemthing. I drink plenty of water daily and i take multivitamins as well. not sure why i mention that but if that informations helps. Is there any suggestions as to what i can to do solve this problem?
My kitty Chesapeake has dandruff. I try and brush her a couple of times a week, but she's not keen on that even after over a decade she's been with us.
She's very healthy otherwise (9even though she is chubby).
Its thicken , raised flaky transparent skin layer with dots. I have been noticing this for atleast 4 years now. I scratch and take it out but it rebuilds in just couple of day in the excact location. I am also showing sign of bladness and my hair is thining.
Is this normal for drandruff to come at same place and as big as dime? Could you please suggest anything to get rid of it.

d say I have a dandruff problem but that would imply that my itchy scalp is the only problem area. I get flaky skin on my arms, chest, eyebrows, and especially my legs. If someone so much as brushes against me it snows little white flakes everywhere. I've been to a dermatologist a couple of times but I've yet to find a medicated shampoo or moisturizer that even makes a dent.
You can also take vit B6 and vit A and E which are good for hair and skin. Try medicated shampoos for dandruff. There are a number of over-the-counter shampoos available that can help. The most effective ingredients -- antimicrobials -- to look for are zinc pyridinethione, selenium sulfide, sulfur and ketoconazole (also available by prescription). If your hair is colored, don't use products with selenium sulfide or sulfur.
A few weeks ago I got a burning itching on my penis. It would get worse after sex with my wife (turned really reddish colored). Then it got very dry, rough and flaky, still itchy. My wife was getting itchy too so we assumed it was a yeast infection and used some Monistat cream on both of us. Hers went away within a few days but my itching persisted. We've never had a yeast infection before. There was a period of time where the skin on my shaft and head was almost shiny and papery ..
It cannot be an STD because it started when I was not sexually active at the time and I had been tested before that (all results were negative). It is one patch and feels very itchy with scaly, flaky skin. I have also been suffering from dry skin in general and dandruff on my scalp, not sure if this is all related. I have tried to gently exfoliate in the upper pubic area, use a thick moisturizer and hydrocortisone cream but the rash keeps coming back. Please help.
-around 15 I started getting bad dandruff. My scalp would become very greasy and scaly. I still get dandruff and my hair is very oily (just like my face.. oily + dry)
-around this young age I also used to get patches of itchy red skin on my face some times... almost looked like sun burn
-I also used to get flaky yellowish patches of skin on my face
-The inside of my ears and directly behind them are usually dry
-Currently I don't usually get any red patches on my face..
