749293 tn?1233188106 One has a particular annoying habit of eating up for poo partially even though food portions (kibbles) were of adequate quantity for their consumption. Some has advised putting raw garlic bits in the food tray & it stopped her for a while. However, references albeit none evidence based medically, mentioned that Garlic Is Harmful for dogs ! How true is this ? What are the possible reasons for this poo-eating habit ?
332074 tn?1229560525 There is only one way, and that is to stop eating too much when you are upset or stressed. That is the bad habit of emotional eating. You exercise plenty, you are mindful about what you eat..that is all good. Stop looking for someone to tell you what to eat and start thinking about why you eat too much. But I can assure you that you eat too much. I have never seen a case where that is not true. You can change, and if you want more info about how then go to the shrinkyourself.
Avatar n tn ve had really good luck in the past with eating some fats and veggies. For instance, if I focus on eating my veggies first, that helps fill me up (and I season them however I want - butter, salt, balsamic, whatever sauce I want - I figure veggies covered in just about anything are healthier than chocolates and jolly ranchers...). Olive oil and butter on veggies seem to help me feel satisfied with them.
Avatar n tn G2 has sucralose in it, and I immediately cut it out of my diet. Symptoms started tapering off after about 24 hours, and went away completely after a week. I'd recommend that if you are drinking/eating anything with sucralose and/or aspartame in it, that you do some research on the side effects of both of these products. You may also want to consult a dietician.
1088509 tn?1352236247 has anyone heard of the hcg diet my friends friend is doing it and has lost sooo much weight. is it safe and will you gain the weight back once you stop???
Avatar n tn You need to be disciplined - its a habit. Just like you can get into the habit of eating to wrong food, you can get into the habit of eating the right food. Exercise - the more you do the better. If you can do an intense 1hr / day, with the right diet, you will see results very quickly. Basically, you need to burn off more calories, than you take in - then you'll lose weight. If you get your diet right, it'll stay off for good.
Avatar n tn I had a 3 month olds male dalmatian that has passed away in Nov. 2008. There were no symptoms or signals that he was sick. He ate well & active. Even his stools looked normal (no diarrheoa). He was given vaccination & deworm medicine from a vet. Everything looked normal. At that tragic day, my mum noticed that his eyes were red & that evening he passed away. What are the possible cause of his dead? Please email the reply to ***@****, thank you & best regards.
Avatar n tn The other problem was to stop him from eating it before it became an ingrained habit. This was the hardest part on my family as they had to immediately pickup the poop so that the beagle did not have access to it. Well we found this quite difficult with 5 dogs and not everyone being around when the dogs defecated. We had to come up with another system that incorporated both picking up the feces, training, and the use of safe muzzle.
Avatar n tn Our vet said that sometimes it can take 6 months to completely get rid of giardia. Are they eating something outdoors, or drinking some possibly contaminated water, like from a sprinkler system?
1411503 tn?1281636246 What weird habit this is. I believe its something that is lacking in their diet. But others say it is a nervous thing.I have never had it with my dogs and they have a varied diet with fresh meat brown rice and veggies, sometimes I grate raw carrot to mix in. They also love garlic. When they go poo they cant wait to leave it fast enough. This is just my opinion.
Avatar n tn So, I drink on average 1.5 cans of Mountain Dew each day. (I say 1.5 because it seems I never finish a whole can.) I'd love to quit this habit. I'm not sure if it's the sugar, caffeine, carbonation or flavor that has me hooked. It just seems to make my meal...better. It's almost as if I am fine eating less as long as I can sip a Mountain Dew with it. (This sounds absolutely absurd now that I'm typing it). I'm a 36 year old 120 pound female in good shape.
Avatar n tn Thanks for the info!! I don't know why this tingling feeling has started and I'm concerned cuz it's usually a sign of something. I'll cut out the chocolate for a while and see what happens. It just seems weird that there's this tingling there all of a sudden. Not saying that its the chocolate....but I've become really paranoid. I'm hoping nature is not so cruel as to inflict an OB on me again after I've barely overcome the primary one I just had!
1645905 tn?1301477821 I really have unbalance eating habit, sometimes I eat a lot and sometimes skipped! They say diet pills can make your appetite lessen.
649848 tn?1534633700 eating healthy, eating less, and being active. But actually doing that can be tough. We make more than 200 food decisions a day, and most of these appear to be automatic or habitual, which means we unconsciously eat without reflection, deliberation or any sense of awareness of what or how much food we select and consume. So often habitual behaviours override our best intentions. A 2018 study found that the key to staying a healthy weight is to reinforce healthy habits.
Avatar f tn This has happened before but I assumed it was because I was eating nothing but T.V. dinners for a few months straight (my mother can't cook because she is disabled) I have gotten back in this habit because I am never home so I tend to eat fast food like pizza, burgers, fries, or junk like chips. If I do eat a home-cooked meal it is usually a reheated plate of something my grandma sent me. I also drink A LOT of coffee when I go out.
Avatar f tn I have heard of people keeping hot sauce handy and putting it on the poop, theory being the pup will not appreciate that and stop the habit. Don't let her out without you with her. Take some treats or a favorite you. If she poops, distract her away from it right away with the toy to distract her. Blonde is right that it may be she is finding her excitement tasty so you might try changing foods. Hopefully, she will grow out of it. Do an Internet search on Coprophagia and read up on it.
616450 tn?1228433627 Folks, I talked to my endocrinologist about the way certain foods seem to affect my thyroid. She said nothing I eat can help or hurt my thyroid, but I could swear I feel it almost HURT about a half hour after I eat a lot of dairy. Also, if I eat something like Sun Chips--or any thing else with a lot of enriched wheat flour, etc.--I feel it as well along with a "pumped up" feeling. I read some about it online, but the endo claims it doesn't have much to do with my diet.
