Avatar f tn Hello, I am wondering how many of u take prenatal vitamins every day and how many think its actually not good for u? I have heard so many different things.
Avatar f tn Beware of GNC vitamins....I am so mad about this....I can't take Cellulose in any form and got some B-12 that the bottle states there is no cellulose, then looked online and it listed Cellulose and Dicalcium Carbonate as ingredients that WERE NOT on the bottle!!!! I also found out it is synthetic B-12.....I am new to the vitamin game, but glad I did some homework. I called GNC and they said they would "take care of it" and offered me a $15 coupon. Wow.
1109996 tn?1267012897 Does anyone know the difference between over the counter Prenatal Vitamins (DHA) or prescriptions Prenatal? I can get the pills over the counter or the one's my dr's nurse recommended at $60 for a months supply.
9310208 tn?1410859285 I've been taking some gummy prenatal vitamins. I've been getting tired of the taste of them so I wanted to switch. I went into GNC and bought the women's prenatals with dha. They were 19.99 for 90 pills which I though was a great price for three months but I did some research and you have to take THREE pills a day.... anyone else bought these ?
Avatar n tn If you are nutrionally deficient, then a daily beta carotene supplement might improve night vision espcially. If you are healthy and well nourished, I don't foresee that vitamin supplements will improve your vision. If you have macular degeneration, then special vitamin formulas have been shown to slow the progression of the disease and some studies also show a protective effect against cataracts as you age.
871965 tn?1241833146 Hi I was wondering what the latest info is on what prenatal vitamins or best, or what vitamins are most important to take pre-conception and during pregnancy. For now my question relates to pre-natal health. I am taking a pre-natal vitamin and then some calcium magnesium with Vitamin D...any other suggestions. Of course I want as healthy a pregnancy as possible. Any advice is appreciated.
Avatar m tn I'm 24, 5'7", 204 lbs currently. I recently (since March) have lost 20 lbs through diet and exercise but it seems like I'm at a stand still, and in the last week I have actually gained a pound and a half even though my diet and exercise regimen has not changed.

1611944 tn?1313891994 t think right now what it is. My D lvl was terribly low which started me on all the vitamins. Thinking maybe they would make a difference but they haven't.
Avatar f tn It makes me feel bad for forgetting them but my Dr told me that the vitamins are for yourself because the baby will take all vitamins from your body reguardless if you take the vitamins .. she also told me that's why I stay so tired because the baby takes all my vitamins and nutrients so I have no energy..
Avatar f tn On my way to GNC. What vitamins do I need to get to get through the withdrawl? I am weening down over 2 weeks and my doctor gave me xanex and an antinausea drug. My blood showed low potassium also. I have to be able to funtion for work and family. Cant be in bed sick, not an option.
Avatar f tn Drink lots of liquids too, if you can get some vitamins. Really helps and the liquids will flush you out sooner. Good Luck to you!! Keep posting...
Avatar f tn I just wanted the forum toknow that the drug stores like Walgreens and CVS wont have those amino acids they just have vitamin B6. I called GNC and they have that L-Tryosline however you spell it. Just wanted to inform the new people who are coming off of narcotics where they can get it. I read that some people were having trouble so I called GNC and they do have it here in WI its 17.99 a bottle.
Avatar f tn when detoxing what vitamins and supplements would help .
Avatar f tn so, i am restarting this month. in between that time I have started taking a multivitamin for women by GNC and I also take aloe vera gel pills for digestive health. will those two combinations have any sort of affect on my birth control? i take Microgestin Fe1/20. thanx guys.
Avatar f tn also check out what levels of all the vitamins are making sure they are with in the daily reccomendations of prenatals just because not all vitamins are water soluble.(meaning you can get too much).. if you headache continues it would be interesting to see if it goes away if you switched back to the old prenatal but definitly mention the headache and urine color for sure!
Avatar f tn Whatever is in the shake mixture, it seems to be causing you digestive stress (diarrhea). Having diarrhea daily will cause loss of vitamins, minerals and nutrients including fluid loss which is not good for your body or health. Suggest you avoid consuming the shakes and getting checked by your MD to ensure you are not deficient of vitamins/minerals. Some people may become allergic to certain foods later in life so you may want to be tested. Thank you for your question.
Avatar f tn I'm taking NatureMade prenatal vitamins that I bought from Costco. My ob said it's a good brand that have everything for pregnancy.
3203877 tn?1358032521 Take it at night before bed. Gnc sells a really good one with dha that's really gentle on the system.
2167803 tn?1338529751 You might try getting your vitamins at a health food store. They have the best. I don't recommend GNC or places like that as they are too commercial. A chiropractor would also have the best formulas.
Avatar f tn I am wondering what are the best prenatal vitamins? I am not pregnant now but we are trying. I am currently taking GNC Women's Health prenatal formula without iron with 1000mcg of folic acid. Is that ok? What should i do to keep my body healthy and also my husbands?
653923 tn?1225944592 I think I'm going to GNC tomorrow. I don't take nothin! But my Tramadol. I mean not even Vitamins. I need to get me some amino acids and vitamins and stuff!
Avatar m tn Take some Super B complex vitamins. Perhaps check with a vitamin store like GNC for some recommendations. Honestly, the best thing is to get some exercise. Walking or running outside in the fresh air is best. I always felt much better and had more energy after a brisk walk outside. I still do. Whatever you do, please don't give up! You've come way to far to go back! Best wishes!
