So, net you decreased by 28-38 mcg in overall dose. Your labs did pretty much what I'd expect them to do. Why did you cut your T3? I think it's obvious from your current labs that you don't convert well.

Can you take just Cytomel? I am on levothyroxine and feeling awful. I heard that this generic of Synthroid is actually not the same as Synthroid and that it is not as good. I heard some people have fabulous results on Armour and Cytomel. Why are Dr's so reluctant to prescribe these other meds? I heard Cytomel really helps with fatigue. My doctor added the Cytomel around Dec 28th, I believe. I took the Tirosint first thing in the am with one 5mcg Cytomel and then took the other 5mcg Cytomel between 1-3 pm. I had been on Tirosint 150 mcg for several months prior to the Cytomel. I'm not sure what the change was between the past two results, but I am glad it happened. This is the best I have felt in years! My doctor would like to lower the Tirosint to 137 mcg but keep the Cytomel the same.

I had a TT in October '07 due to papillary thyroid carcinoma. I am 40 yo, the nodule was 12mm, there were no apparent metatheses at all, and I underwent radioactive iodine treatment afterward. The endo put me on 125mcg synthroid and up to 75mcg cytomel after the final scan. I then tapered off the cytomel. While on the cytomel, I felt "normal" meaning I had no symptoms either hyper or hypo and I never felt a rush from taking the cytomel.

Help? I am on 125mcg of synthroid and want to add cytomel because of still suffering from fatigue and weight gain. My physician prescribed 25mcg of cytomel and said to discontinue the synthroid. Hi, I recently began having irregular heartbeats after being on cytomel 50mcg for 2 weeks. It initially started about a week after taking the drug, but has continually worsened. My doctor took me off of it on Monday and I had blood tests ran Tuesday. I have an appt with a cardiologist for an echo. My question is, if the cytomel was indeed not needed and my current TSH is 0.01, FreeT3 is 2.9 and FT4 is 0.8, will this normalize without more meds?
