cytomel order

I went to have my natur-throid filled the other day and they told me it was on manufactuer back order. I called RLC labs and she said they are on back order for at least 90 days. Has anyone else had this problem. I don't know what I am going to do since I got off Armour because the new formula stinks and I don't want to even go on synthroid. Any Suggestions would be appreciated.

9, he decided to change my synthroid to 100 much and added Cytomel 5mcg twice a day. I’m not familiar with Cytomel, will the addition of this medicine compensate reducing my synthroid? Will it help with my Simptoms? Thank you!

Can you take just Cytomel? I am on levothyroxine and feeling awful. I heard that this generic of Synthroid is actually not the same as Synthroid and that it is not as good. I heard some people have fabulous results on Armour and Cytomel. Why are Dr's so reluctant to prescribe these other meds? I heard Cytomel really helps with fatigue. All I want to do is sleep, it's awful.

My doctor added the Cytomel around Dec 28th, I believe. I took the Tirosint first thing in the am with one 5mcg Cytomel and then took the other 5mcg Cytomel between 1-3 pm. I had been on Tirosint 150 mcg for several months prior to the Cytomel. I'm not sure what the change was between the past two results, but I am glad it happened. This is the best I have felt in years! My doctor would like to lower the Tirosint to 137 mcg but keep the Cytomel the same.

I need a doctor that is great with cytomel, tsh suppression, hashimoto's, etc., I am sick of wasting my time with all these doctors that do not listen. Anybody know any cytomel friendly doctor's that are currently taking patients and working in or around the Seattle area???

I had a TT in October '07 due to papillary thyroid carcinoma. I am 40 yo, the nodule was 12mm, there were no apparent metatheses at all, and I underwent radioactive iodine treatment afterward. The endo put me on 125mcg synthroid and up to 75mcg cytomel after the final scan. I then tapered off the cytomel. While on the cytomel, I felt "normal" meaning I had no symptoms either hyper or hypo and I never felt a rush from taking the cytomel.

Help? I am on 125mcg of synthroid and want to add cytomel because of still suffering from fatigue and weight gain. My physician prescribed 25mcg of cytomel and said to discontinue the synthroid. I cannot get into an endo until Feb. and would like to combine the two but am not sure what doses to take reducing my synthroid and adding the cytomel?

Does anyone know why post-op TT patients are initially placed on Cytomel? I am aware that Cytomel is just T3 while Synthroid is T4, but I still don't understand. Also, how does Cytomel affect your mood? Is it sufficient or will you go hypo? Any response appreciated.

Hi, I recently began having irregular heartbeats after being on cytomel 50mcg for 2 weeks. It initially started about a week after taking the drug, but has continually worsened. My doctor took me off of it on Monday and I had blood tests ran Tuesday. I have an appt with a cardiologist for an echo. My question is, if the cytomel was indeed not needed and my current TSH is 0.01, FreeT3 is 2.9 and FT4 is 0.8, will this normalize without more meds?

First day of taking generic Cytomel 5mg. Feeling tired after the second dose. Is this normal???

I had a thyrodectemy in April 2016. I was still having symptoms but not gaining weight. My Dr. decided to add cytomel, which I am excited about. So my Dr. lowered my synthroid to 125 mg 6x's a week and 5 mg of cytomel 4x's a week. I am also taking calcium twice a day at 600mg and 40,000 IU once a week with calcitrol twice a day as well. At first I was getting anxiety as a result of taking cytomel, but everytime I took my calcitrol I became so tired. My Dr.

I was just checking in to see if natur-throid is still on back order right now and if anyone has heard if it will be back in production in 90 days. I have been on levo and cytomel for a couple weeks and ever since I have been on it I have had really bad joint and back pain. I have been researching this and found a lot of people have the same problem being on the levo. I want to switch back to the natur-throid as soon as it is available again.

Then take cytomel three times a day. the synthroid is 75mcg and the cytomel is 5mcg 3 times a day which equals 15 mcg a day. My labs read TSH =1.33, T4,free =0.8 and T3,free =2.5 He said my numbers are at the low end. He changed me from Naturethroid to this. How do I combine these properly? I find it hard to take the 3 pills a day because of my work schedule. I read not to take cytomel at night because it interferes with sleep. Is this correct? Thanks for the help.

s why I asked about trying Cytomel. So, he has adjusted my meds to 88mcg Synthroid + 5mcg Cytomel. So, far....I do feel better. The past few days infact, I haven't been *as* tired in the afternoon.

5 Cytomel twice daily. Now my Endo wants to decrease the Synthroid to .50 and keep the Cytomel as is. Why would my TSH be so low, with a normal range T4? My Endo is not really interested in how I feel. I am curious what those of you 'in the know' might think. Thank you!

Yes, I changed the Tirosint and Cytomel at the same time. She lowered the Tirosint in order to increase the Cytomel.
