Hello people, I just ordered my Cytomel (T3/Thryoid Meds) from Mexico, it's called Tryiotex and people in the net says it's a slow released meds.. the dosage are 75mcg for a pill.. how should i take them? what's sustained release means? will it be ok to take the dosage first thing in the a.m on an empty stomach? or should i split the dosage for 2 times a day? (remember - that's a slow/sustained release pills.. different from other brands out there..

Un-bleeping-believable! Saw my GP just now to talk about the Reverse T3. He says I am normal so not to worry about the T3. I tried to explain to him about the whole process. I said I'm definitely hypo at the moment. I asked him what he thought about going up a dose till I get back from USA. He thought that would be a good idea. THEN ...Oh boy! You guys are gonna LOVE this...he suggested a half tablet extra a day! I take 100mcgs Eutroxsig (same as Synthroid) so I go up to 150mcgs PER DAY..

It took almost 2 weeks for hte rash to disappear, the doctor said I had developed a allergy to the sun( this sicked for me as I go to Mexico twice a year and that had never happened before) though he was crazy and blew it off. I just came back from Mexico again and guess what the rash appeared, it was about 1/10th as bad. It develped in the joint areas and a little on my thighs but that was it. Over the last year or so my joints have started to ach especially my knees and elbows.

Hi I live in Mexico & along with dealing with depression recently, I was also diagnosed with sub-clinical hypothyroidism. My TSH & free T4 were within the normal range but my free T3 was below normal. I now take 1/4 tab of Novotiral daily & my labs are fine so far. (1/4 Novotiral tab = 25 mcg levothyroxine/5 mcg liotironina or cytomel). My problem is that I continue to suffer from anxiety.

I was just thinking that if I need to decide between online pharmacy for generic Alinia of buy it from a realy Mexican pharmacy (in Mexico, physically) I would rather go for the Mexican pharmacy. I have a friend that is originally from Mexico, and they could tell me where to go, and help me to buy it. What do you think?

If not, why are you on T3-only med (Cytomel)? What were your labs a week ago before going on the Cytomel, and were you on any other meds then?

I was up to 125 mcg synthroid, then dropped back to 75 synthroid, then switched to 75 generic levo and added 10 mcg cytomel. That was too much cytomel, so dropped back to 5 mcg cytomel and switched to generic; then up to 88 mcg levo, staying with 5 mcg generic cytomel. Am currently on 100 mcg Tirosint and 5 mcg generic cytomel. I take the Tirosint first thing in the morning, per instructions (my day starts 3:30 am). I take my T3 med about 7-7:30 am.

She told me she was 20 lbs over weights due to being hypo and was only be able to loose few lbs even with teaching many aerobic classes and eating healthy until she heard of Cytomel. She started taking 25mcg of Cytomel 4 yrs ago and noticed the fat melted quickly. She is now at her ideal weight and very fit.

s fairly rare for somone to be on Cytomel only. Usually a small dose of Cytomel is added to the Synthroid, which may have to be reduced to accomodate the Cytomel. Cytomel (T3) is very fast-acting, so it has to be taken several times throughout the day if taken by itself. This leads to intra-day ups and downs in hormone levels. Do you have the results of your latest lab tests (FT3, FT4 and TSH) and their reference ranges?

Can you take just Cytomel? I am on levothyroxine and feeling awful. I heard that this generic of Synthroid is actually not the same as Synthroid and that it is not as good. I heard some people have fabulous results on Armour and Cytomel. Why are Dr's so reluctant to prescribe these other meds? I heard Cytomel really helps with fatigue. All I want to do is sleep, it's awful.

I thought that the generic cytomel was exactly as the brand cytomel. no difference what so ever. I thought I read this somewhere in these forums???? i am on the generic for 3 weeks now and I really feel no different. the doc gave me 25 mg of cytomel to add to my 75mcg of synthroid. advice from you guys, so I cut my synthroid in half and taking only 6 mcg of cytomel. but I have been taking 1/2 of cytomel in the morning and breaking the other half in two. so yeah that is 25 mg.

My doctor added the Cytomel around Dec 28th, I believe. I took the Tirosint first thing in the am with one 5mcg Cytomel and then took the other 5mcg Cytomel between 1-3 pm. I had been on Tirosint 150 mcg for several months prior to the Cytomel. I'm not sure what the change was between the past two results, but I am glad it happened. This is the best I have felt in years! My doctor would like to lower the Tirosint to 137 mcg but keep the Cytomel the same.

I am taking Synthroid 100 MCG & Cytomel 5MCG what happens when you have too much T3 ? i have been looking for a new endrcrinologis, the dr.

d have to reduce the amount of levo and replace with an equivalent amount of Cytomel (1/4 the Cytomel for the reduction in levo, e.g. drop the levo to 100 mcg and add 12.5 mcg Cytomel).

Before cytomel I was tired , brain fog, joint pain. Cytomel gave me no palputaions..nothing..

I have been on thie Synthroid for over 15years. I have been on the Cytomel for about 10 years. I feel like the Cytomel is a waste of money. I was thinking about gradually dropping it to see if I notice any changes. I feel that 5 mg is hardly enough to notice a difference. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes to stabilize or to notice the change. I have forgotten to take it on occasion and I don't notice a difference in energy.

First day of taking generic Cytomel 5mg. Feeling tired after the second dose. Is this normal???

I had a total thyroidectomy in October. I am currently taking 112mcg of synthroid. Although my blood work is where the dr wants it to be I cant seem to lose the 15lbs I have gained & everytime I eat my stomach becomes extremely bloated. I have even been asked when I am due! I weighed 120 before surgery & 135 now. I have been reading a lot about Cytomel. What is the criteria for adding Cytomel? Why are some pt's on it & some not?
