1094370 tn?1317134825 Then, I started on Cymbalta at time of Menopause. Went off the Cymbalta for a while and then back on when I noticed the tinnitus starting. I also had a ton of amalgams removed unsafely (I did not know better) years before the menopause thing, but just to give you some ideas of my history. Anyhow, had two really bad bouts of vertigo but that has been maybe 2-4 years ago since the last.

Avatar n tn Cymbalta is not known to be addictive, but abrupt discontinuation can cause mood changes, irritability, agitation, dizziness, anxiety, confusion, headache, lethargy, insomnia, tinnitus, and seizures. If you have additional questions about Cymbalta, you can call the Lilly Answers Center at 1-800-LILLY-RX (1-800-545-5979).
Avatar n tn I have recently weaned off cymbalta and increased topamax. The cymbalta did not help with the migraines and I did not need it emotionally either. I use to use Botox injections in my temples, jaws (tmj) and back of neck (bad muscle) for my migraines but discontinued, at that time I was put on Topamax for one yr. the migraines increased tremendoulsy and moved from what they had been before.
Avatar f tn yes always had the tinnitus but recently am very sensative to noise..,.i always loved going to live gigs. but the last one annoyed me to bits. shame!!
Avatar n tn There is a possibility that your symptoms are due to atypical migraine. Atypical migraine can present as tinnitus, visual symptoms and shooting pains, tingling and numbness without the headache. It is therefore also known as acephalgic migraine. Please discuss this possibility with your doctor as soon as possible. Have you been able to identify a trigger for these attacks?
Avatar f tn I'm on 60 mg Cymbalta for pain, 100 mg Lyrica, 30 mg Remeron for sleep but also take a sleeping pill. The ringing is so bad in the night and in the morning think it makes the pain worse. Also on 2 1/2 mg Ativan but have been trying to come off it as the anxiety is much less. I did quit smoking and have started again but not very much. None of the Dr's can explain.
Avatar f tn I have had some brain zaps during the day associated with cymbalta which i was taking for neuropathy. I also had a neck fusion about 8 wks ago and 2 weeks ago was involved in another car accident where i was rear-ended. Can you give me any advice?
1679858 tn?1346765181 yes ear fullness as well as tinnitus can be from Chiari as well as some pain meds taken to help with pains...Many NSAIDS can cause this as well as many RX meds so do look at side effects from ne meds u may be on. I had many sinus issues b4 I had surgery, and it got soooo much better post op...now I take a antihistamine and it helps me, but I am post op now. The fullness can be a build up of CSF pressure too.....
Avatar m tn When I tried Cymbalta for the first time recently, it caused ringing in my ears big time. I had to turn the TV on just to drown out the ringing. So, yes, it could be the Zoloft.
Avatar m tn No cymbalta is not addictive - it's an anti-depressant but is now being used to treat pain associated with fibromyalgia and some other conditions. My Dr. had me on that too for a while - and I stopped taking it because the pharmacy warned me that taking an anti-depressant while taking tramadol could result in serotonin syndrome. Course, I really wasn't that concerned as long as I could taking the tramadol! Goes to show you what kind of idiot the drugs made me.....
Avatar m tn My question is that for the past 3 or so years I have been taking Cymbalta for Fibro....which has been helpful. Then last year I started getting weird symptoms...My heart was racing, I felt like I the room was closing in on me, sweats, and gained about 30 lbs in the last yr. I thought maybe my dosage was off on the Cymbalta so my doctor increased it which I stopped as soon as I started...I felt it was not that.
Avatar f tn daily of Neurontin for the nerve pain and tinnitus, and 20 mg of omeprazole for nerve-related gastric reflux. My baclofen dosage has doubled in the last year, and still barely controls the pain from the muscle spasms. My doctor has also given me Provigil and Cymbalta for the fatigue, but neither of them help at all. I also take potassium and Vitamin B suppliments, among others.
Avatar f tn He also experiences tinnitus. Could this be cerebral spinal leakage? No medicines the doctors have given him helps. He has even had sleep studies and yes he has apnea, but the nasal secretions are so bad when he puts it on and tries to wear it, he has to take it off. His GP says that he will not ever be able to use it until this headache and nasal dripping problem is relieved. It really affects his life and has started causing him to mess alot of work because the headaches are so intense.
Avatar f tn s disease often describe a low pitched tinnitus resembling a hiss or a roar. Pulsatile tinnitus (tinnitus that beats with your pulse) can be caused by aneurysms, increased pressure in the head (hydrocephalus), and hardening of the arteries. Anything that increases blood flow or turbulence such as hyperthyroidism, low blood viscosity (e.g. anemia), or tortuous blood vessels may cause pulstitle tinnitus. Vitamin B12 deficiency is common in tinnitus patients.

Avatar n tn In the days before the surgery I had some eruption pain, and the teeth were fully impacted, and I had some mild tinnitus. However, after I got them out, the tinnitus has gotten much worse. I feel pressure in my ears often, and my surgeon said that in some cases the pressure from the swelling will put pressure on the ears and cause the tinnitus. It's been a week since the surgery however and I still have the tinnitus.
Avatar m tn Now one a very important responsibility for every Tinnitus sufferer is to spread TINNITUS AWARENESS. It’s a war and don’t fight it alone. Make Tinnitus awareness groups; circulate tinnitus information to masses via emails, news articles our any other means. REMEMBER if a disease is more popular, it has attracted more research and studies in medical science. Make it happened for Tinnitus too. Best of luck to you all.
Avatar m tn HepB and tinnitus? Interesting thought. I have tinnitus too, in both ears.
Avatar f tn The only way to be sure of this is to stop taking it for a time and see if tinnitus goes away. So far, I have not taken any for 11 nights and tinnitus is still the same. - A pretty much constant low-pitched noise. How long would I have to stay off Zolpidem before knowing whether or not it is the culprit?
Avatar f tn Many find relief by playing background music to mask tinnitus. Some people use a tinnitus masker, a device worn like a hearing aid that produces pleasant sounds, especially while trying to sleep. My dad used one of these and found relief for the first time in many years! While tinnitus in and of itself IS most often harmless, there are some underlying disorders that produce tinnitus as a sort of "warning device," and these disorders require medical attention sooner than later.
Avatar f tn I am a veteran and I have lived with it for a few years now. I think there are special devices that will stoo the tinnitus. I dont have one because basically all it does it cover up the ringing sound with another sound. Is this just a pregnancy symptom? It may go away.
Avatar m tn I've had tinnitus now for 6 months. It all started when I did a few lines of cocaine in November of 2007. Shortly after I developed serious sinus problems where I had major swelling on the inside of my nose along with pain on the bridge. And then........I woke up with ringing in my ears 1 1/2 weeks later. The ringing got louder as the sinus problems continued. Short of 3 sinus infections to date I really don't have too much to complain about with my sinuses.
751951 tn?1406632863 Never sure which consonant to double. Came here, of course, for two reasons. I get straight answers from people with real world experience, and those answers are almost always presented congenially. Nothing like the medical profession, is it? I've had IMPOSSIBLY LOUD SQUEALING in both ears for years. This is in any environment, whether or not my hearing aids are in and working, etc. Such a high pitch I think it's nearing dog-whistle range.
