then had a week of migraines, never had before. I weird brain tingling sensation that was extremely uncomfortable....all this time not connecting this to the lyrica. I ended up in an ER with heart palls and anxiety through the roof. felt like I was on a bad acid trip with speed involved. not that I tried either of those since high school. my menopause shipped sailed many years ago, but hot flashes big time.....pins and needles feeling all over my body. like a nettles sting. even my tongue.
It feels like parts of my body get little twinges of electric shock. The pain in my feet sometimes can be so excrusiating, with numbness and tingling. My doctor put me on Cymbalta ( 60 mg.)for depression. I gotta say, the medicine did help reduce the pain. I 've been weaning myself off the Cymbalta and the pain has returned. I really didn't want to continue with the Cymbalta as it gives me a low sex drive or no sex drive at all.
What exactly are cymbalta and lyrica? Aren't they anti-depressants? How do they help with the pain? Do they help with chronic fatigue as well? I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue, and the aches and pains(especially legs from my thighs to my ankels) are leading the doctor to think fibromyalgia. I was just wondering about these meds because I NEED some relief and I've heard many mentions of these meds. Can they be taken with provigil?
for the last 4 yrs i have been having burning and pain in my feet. also tingling in my arms and hands; weird sensations in my tongue. i have had several tests for nerve damage; been treated with lyrica until bloating and swelling started and switched to cymbalta; it helped at first now about 2 months later the burning and pain is not being relieved. my neurologist says its neuropathy of unknown origin; my primary dr did lyme disease tests that came back positive.

2 years ago I lost both of my parents. I had a breakdown and was placed on cymbalta 60 mg and Klonopin .5 mg at bedtime. I have been healthy for some time and have wanted to get the foggy feeling out of me. I titered off of the cymbalta slowely over 3 months and took my final dose in Sept of 08. I waited to make sure that I was ok and then Dec 10-15 stopped the Klonopin. Although I did have some problems I blamed lack of sleep.
Along with Lyrcia they now have me taking Cymbalta but I still have the same problems. I have read that many people do have sucess with these drugs for this problem. You might talk to your doctor about an ENG and MRI and also if Lyrica or Cymbalta might help you. Hope this helps.
I have been experiencing over the past several months numbness and tingling in my face. While it started as only occassionally, it is now occuring on a daily basis, although not all day, with increasing duration. It primarily occurs on my left side but does extend across my forehead. I have no pain or headache with symptoms. I am a 38 years female, on no medications whatsover, not under any undue stress, good bp, heart rate, etc., slightly overweight, but otherwise completely healthy.
i was on remeron for 6 weeks by my psychiatrists then last monday my pcp changed me to wellbutrin because i complained about tingling and weakness in my arms and legs then 2 days later i had a psychiatrists app. and he switched me to cymbalta 30mg and i am having leg weakness, sweats, arms weakness, what should i do is this witdrawel or side affect ?
