cymbalta klonopin

Ok so I have been taking Klonopin along with Cymbalta for a good 6 months. I started off taking .5 mg of klonopin about 1-2 times a day. Naturally over the months I started to gain tolerence to the drug. Now I take about 1mg of klonopin but just once a day. I notice this is starting to lose its effectivness now. If I taper down slowly can I gain effectiveness? Also how are klonopin withdrawl symptoms? I was on xanax for a while before this and I got off it with no problem.

I just began a Cymbalta (30mg/day) treatment regimen, and coincidently ran out of clonazepam one week later. Rather than wait in the ER for 4 hours to see a doc, I am waiting for my next scheduled psychiatric appointment for a refill. It's been two weeks now, and my appointment is in another 2 weeks. I was prescribed .5mg/X2/day (morning & night) of Clonazepam (along with Trazodone (150mg at bedtime) for insomnia.

I am currently taking klonopin twice a day which is a miracle for me prescribed from my psychiatrist... Prior to this I was taking cymbalta only for a week and 2 days! I stopped taking the cymbalta due to side effects. I didn't take any on Monday and still haven't. My primary care doctor prescribed the cymbalta to me! I was in the middle of withdrawing from celexa which was a nightmare in itself it's been almost a month I been off of it!

I had no withdrawals. After baby this last April my doctor put me on cymbalta 30 mg and klonopin as needed. Rt after the cymbalta got started I got intensely sick had major panic attacks, and manic feeling so I had to stop it. A week later I got weird symptoms like : panic attacks, increased anxiety, brain fog, constant dizziness, blurred vision ect. I took the klonopin and it wasn't helping and I refuse to take a higher dose.

There is no sane doctor that will go for a 6 months treatment with a benzodiazepine like Klonopin. Klonopin is good to control panic attack when they happens but you can't take this for a long term treatment. Effexor was the drug to use for a long term treatment. I might also suggest you try Cymbalta. It's a SNRI like Effexor but it's newer and from the same maker of Effexor.

so my dr put me on 1m of klonopin 2 times a day and it worked wonderfully, about a month later i felt it starting to wear off about half way through the day. we to see dr again he upped the morning dose to 1.5 mg and still 1 mg at night well last monday my father passed and anxiety got worse and dr upped to 2 mg twice a day for 1 week just to get through the week after the 2nd dose of 2 mg i noticed , myself getting aggitated, and very angry. called dr and he told me to back off to the 1.

So today I stopped the Cymbalta and went back to taking 1 mg in the morning of klonopin and going to take 1 at night. It really does help I must say. I was just wondering does anyone just take klonopin only as a daily medication for their panic attacks? I have an appointment wednesday with my psych doctor and see what he says to do.

I do not understand why the Klonopin would suddenly stop working. Now I am on Cymbalta and it does not do anything. The hazey, fog feeling is almost tangible, I need help.

My doctor gave me a prescription for Cymbalta today at 30mg per day. I'm taking Klonopin right now at .25mg twice per day. I'm nervous to become medicated. He said the klonopin was a band-aid, and the Cymbalta will really start fixing the problem with my neuro-transmitters and serotonin or whatever. He said that Cymbalta could initially CAUSE anxiety (which is apparently what I have), so the Klonopin will help with that.

Im on 30 mg. of cymbalta since may 8,Klonopin since april 23 and xanax since feb..tapering off xanax.......since adding cymbalta to this mixture my blood pressure has dropped as my heart rate has too........is this normal for this mixture? I dont like the cymbalta so far and i thought the klonopin was suppose to help with my tapering off xanax,i was suppose to stop xanax 2 days ago and so far i havent because im scared of withdrawals......

thanks i did go to my psychiatrist and he said it was withdrawels increased my klonopin during the time it takes cymbalta to kick in he said i only been on the new ad for a aweek may take 2 to 4 weeks that i will be ok sound ok to you hon?

2 years ago I lost both of my parents. I had a breakdown and was placed on cymbalta 60 mg and Klonopin .5 mg at bedtime. I have been healthy for some time and have wanted to get the foggy feeling out of me. I titered off of the cymbalta slowely over 3 months and took my final dose in Sept of 08. I waited to make sure that I was ok and then Dec 10-15 stopped the Klonopin. Although I did have some problems I blamed lack of sleep.

drop a pill every 10 days till off so im on 3 pills of klonopin as of wed. he wanted me to retry a lower dose of cymbalta and today im all messed up right sided head and eye pain dizziness and unclear thinking also pain in my check...........i guess it could be a combination of things but i feel like im losing it.i think i will give up on the cymbalta as i thik its teh klonopin causing the depression,and once im off it maybe i will be ok if i can do this with no meds................

I have Klonopin as needed. Is the Klonopin an appropriate/effective drug to prevent these overreactions?

Ya know i can't believe it but i am atually getting more angry on Cymbalta. also feeling hostile! wth! Last dr appointment he said i was doing better on just klonopin huh. I said yes somewhat for sure. I am now waiting on a call from the nurse which i am sure won't be until tomorrow sighhh. I have GAD... and am hoping i can handle the down times while i am off of Cymbalta..but it certainly isn't making me feel right at all!

I have three choices. Add buspar(trying this first), switch to Cymbalta or increase my Klonopin. I originally started out at 2mgs of Klonopin many years ago, so I haven't built tolerance quickly. I actually lowered my dose a few years back. What Is considered a large dose? I don't like taking benzos, but I wanna live my best life. Welcome all opinions!

i was on lexapro for 8 days dr stopped it put me on cymbalta and i was on cymbalta in 07 no allergic reaction i haved treid it since then but get scared and stop it if i was ok on it before should i have no problem with alergies and does anyone know of anyone thats been on cymbalta and klonopin and plus i will be going on abilfy on monday i haved fear of meds and think im allergic all the time i have just taking my second cymbalta 10 min ago and alreadt htink im allergic plus i seem unclear thin

I have been taking 30mg of cymbalta for POTS for 2.5 years. It solved my rapid heart rate but recently my dizziness and lightheadedness and fuzzy vision have been worse. Do you think I am getting used to this drug? And after reasearaching on the web, why do I never see info about POTS and cymbalta?

they put me on 60 mg of cymbalta and 2 mg of risperadal for racing thughts and 1 mg of ativan,later changed to klonopin...they stopped the cymbalta in july because it caused dierehha.........was on klonopin till end of jan. was changed to xanax now im back on klonopin tapering off the xanax.Dr.

Hi, On Feb 7,08 I was put on 1mg. xanax 3 times a day.On april 23,08 dr added klonopin and 0.5 3 times a day and told me to cut back to 2 mg of xanax....and he added 30 mg. of cymbalta..i did that till may 8,08 when i went and seen my dr. he told me to now cut back to 1 mg. of xanax for 1 wek then stop it that is should be fine with the klonopin...

He has me on 4 different meds 2) anti depressants- cymbalta 20 mg and celexa 40 mg 1) mood stablizer- Geodon 100mg and 1) anti anxiety Klohipin 2mg 3 x day. Not t mention all the other medications I take. There is a web site google med interaction checker. The 4 meds he perscribes me interact with everything so I looked at the same kinds of meds just slight difference in them and the ones I chose didnt interact with anything severly.

If you are experiencing panic attacks, the best medication would be an antianxiety agent (a benzodiazapame) such as Klonopin. I take Klonopin for generalized anxiety disorder. At first I felt very sedated. This could have been due to two headache medications I was on (am off of now), or my body hadn't adjusted to it. Now, I'm not sedated from it. For me, Klonopin helps a bit, but for panic attacks, it's supposed to work wonders.

Other than restless leg syndrome other possibilities that may need to be considered are vascular issues, peripheral neuropathy, musculopathies, hormonal/ endocrine issues, micronutrient deficiencies, infections, stress/ depression etc. Without an evaluation it would be difficult to say what effect would a particular drug have on it.
