Cymbalta jittery

Common Questions and Answers about Cymbalta jittery

cymbalta

Avatar n tn I have been feeling "jittery" or what I used to call "dizzy" on and off throughout my day my entire life. I am 29 now, but got diagnosed with anemia and hypoglycemia at 19. I took iron pills for a while, and my jittery feeling got a lot better. My low blood sugar was pretty good too, especially if I ate a good, healthy meal. In December, I started taking Cymbalta for depression. It has helped me SO much, but I suffer from EXTREME dry mouth/thirst as a side effect.
233622 tn?1279334905 Hello LA, Thanks so much for the response to my rant yesterday. I feel better today. Still have the double vision but like always my friends here cheer me up. To answer your question. I was on Cymbalta for about 6 weeks. I asked to be taken off of it. It was making me feel strange. Very "short Fused", irritated, grouchy. I started taking Effexor when this started and I went back to it just a higher dose now. I have seen where people here have got on it and it has helped very well.
4753943 tn?1359934569 Did you start the Cymbalta yet? I know that it made me feel really jittery?
4753943 tn?1359934569 Did your doc just tell you to stop the Effexor and start the Cymbalta? What dose of Effexor are you stopping at, and what dose of Cymbalta are you starting at? Some people have seamless transitions, while others report some symptoms of a discontinuation syndrome, like you mentioned above. Hopefully, you'll have a smooth transition. Definitely let us know how you're feeling.

Avatar f tn I have been on Remeron for a few months and it has really helped with my anxiety. Recently my Doctor added cymbalta for nerve pain. This is only my third day with the cymbalta and my anxiety level is shooting through the roof. Also I have this dang ringing in my ears that does not want to go away. I questioned my doctor about taking remeron and cymbalta together and asured me that they work great together. I honestly don't know if I can stand this feeling.
5082295 tn?1371250911 Typical start up side effects of Cymbalta would be an increase in anxiety (feeling jittery), insomnia or drowsiness, GI disturbances (lack of appetite, nausea, diarrhea), headache. Typically, start up side effects will start to improve about 2-3 weeks in. Just give it some time. You can probably take it at night, it may help how you feel, at least during the day. Ask your doctor. Hang in there dear!
Avatar n tn I take 120mg of cymbalta for years no such luck must be something else
268911 tn?1213744781 I cant take any of these meds. I am so screwed. Each one makes me jittery, angry, can't focus or concentrate and they make me sweat like no tomorrow. Anyone else have bad reactions like this?
Avatar f tn I'd eat small snacks throughout the day just to play it safe. I was the same way with my first. If I didn't have a snack every few hours I would shake.
Avatar f tn Had bran flakes and watermelon at 10am and by 3pm I was jittery. Why is this? Does it mean I need to snack more often?
Avatar f tn Every morning bout an hour after I eat breakfast I get very jittery, weakness and sometimes nauseated. I have eaten eggs, or banana, or even peanut butter crackers. I have had blood work and drs say it is all good. I had a blood sugar test and it was good. I also just had a h pylori test and it was positive but my symptoms are not the same for that. It has been 2 weeks since my first episode and I have changed my eating habits and drink more water too! I am 52 years old and I am overweight.
Avatar f tn I had a heck of a time on cymbalta. I was also put on klonopin to reduce the jittery speedy feeling that cymbalta gave me. I had to increasingly take more klon cause my body was building up a tolerance. Dr jeremy matuzak psych. Who needs his license revoked decided to take me off the klon overnight cause i was "taking too much" so therefore i stoped the cymbal overnight too. I have severe anxiety and SAD and i was taking it as needed for the extra anxiety the cymbal was causing.
Avatar m tn Day 12 off Methadone here. My Dr. prescribed me Cymbalta to help with the deppression and anxiety which I have suffered with for the last 16 years and of course now is infinitly amplified. Supposed to take 30mg/day for the first week then step it up to 60mg/day there after. I took it the first day (Fri) and it made me feel all jittery like I drank 10 monsters. Didnt take it yesterday. I know it takes about a month to start working completely but I didnt like the feeling I had.
Avatar f tn but my doctor put me on cymbalta for the depression of tapering and quitting. it did help. took about a week or 2 to kick in though. and it was very easy to wean off of. You don't feel high or anything when you take it. but if i forgot to take one day it will make me grouchy and irritable.
Avatar f tn day 13 here .......oh yeah,,,,,very anxious....jittery. .. . ...... .... .. . .
1348086 tn?1370783185 Off and on I have been able to control them. I have been to therapists and on different meds (now on Cymbalta), The doctor gave me clorazepate for anxiety attacks a couple of years ago. I hate taking them because they make my depression worse. I only take them if it is dire. Now, my job has got me stressed 10 fold. I have to come home and take care of my 77 year old mother (whom my therapist tells me is the core of my mental problems). I am afraid I am becoming agoraphobic.
Avatar n tn I have a question is anyone just on klonopin for panic? I feel it's a wonder medication. I was on celexa and klonopin a little over a year now. I stopped the celexa I felt it wasn't doing much. The withdrawals from that were out of control! Something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. So I decided just to got o my primary care doctor for desperate help he was the only 1 around that day. He put me on Cymbalta I took it for a week 30mg's and for 2 days I took 60mg's.
8485484 tn?1408936473 Does anyone else ever feel jittery or shaky and it seems like my heart is racing? I'm not sure if it's after I eat or what but it's happened a few times now... Is it someone that I should be worried about or is is normal during pregnancy? Ahh I hate the feeling!!
Avatar n tn I have been on thyroid replacement therapy for 10 years with no problem. Suddenly about 3 months ago in June I started to get anxious, depressed and exhausted. Finally my doctors ran more thyroid testing and my TSH was a 7. They changed my medication from 112mcg of synthroid to 150mcg daily about three days ago. Now I'm jittery and having trouble sleeping. Is this the symptoms of an out of whack thyroid/ Will it get better as my body adjusts to the new dosage? Please help.
1348086 tn?1370783185 s a good thing because I had one on the way home. He is weaning me off of Cymbalta, how scary is that? I am on 60mg and he gave me 2 bottles of 30mg to start taking one a day tomorrow and then one every other day next week. He is having me start Nortriptyline tonight, one a night for a week or so, and then 2 for about a week, and then 3. Any thoughts on Nortriptyline?
1915587 tn?1330311933 I have been taking cymbalta and welbutrin together for approx 2 years. My RE wanted me off of them, but my OB objected and kept me on them. I stepped in and decided i didnt want to be on them b/c i have read and my RE confirmed this, that cymbalta can cause birth defects. I want to give my baby the best possible chance and i weened myself off of them, the last few days have been hell, i've been sick to my stomach, headache, dizzy you name it.
Avatar f tn Hi, I was on lexapro for about 5 years for depression and anxiety. Worked great. Then one day started making me jittery, restless legs syndrome etc. since then I've tried about every ssri and they all give me horrible side effects. I took cymbalta for a short time helped at first then crazy mood swings. At this point I am so frustrated and thought I was the only one that had this problem. I now see a lot of people have struggles with it. I am considering trying the Prestiq.
1700643 tn?1464846682 I don't know if you have taken a phentermine yet but they give you energy and take away your appetite. I have taken them and I felt a little jittery at times. I don't think they will kill you. do you have blood pressure issues?
Avatar n tn I take one in the morning and usually one at bedtime. Sometimes I may feel jittery or overstressed and take one in the afternoon. I originally liked the combo, but soon realized that I was becoming very numb to almost any emotion. I tried to quit the clonazepam after about 4 months by weaning off and was put on vistaril to help. I just couldnt do it, I had horrible withdrawals. I tried to wean off 2 other times within the year with no luck. I really dont like being dependant on these drugs.
