cymbalta gas

Also having nightsweats but have always been warm blooded my whole life, but has intensified since being put on Cymbalta for anxiety. Both of my big toes go numb with pins and needles whenever I lay down, but are totally numb when I wake up in the morning. The numbness goes away as I move around or stand up. I have right hip pain which is noticable to touch or when I walk but normal when I sit down. My caves both are pulsing in waves like electric shocks but no pain.

m currently taking Lamictal and Cymbalta. I was taking Celexa but was recently switched to Cymbalta, which seems to be helping better with my depression. However it did raise my blood pressure a little bit. Some more background (and I thank you for sticking through all this, but I feel it's important to my problem) I'm 45 years old, but when I was about 10 years old I had sleeping gas when I was at the dentist...just one time.

I have been taking Cymbalta now for 8 days. I have had very little side effects.Tonight, about 45 minutes ago, I felt like someone was taking my stomach and intestines and twisting them in a knot and then I became nauseated. I took a Prilosec and some Gas X. I ate the same thing the rest of the family ate for supper and they are fine. I have 2 questions. Could this be related to the Cymbalta? I absolutely have a phobia to throwing up. My mom has Ondansetron that she takes when she is nauseated.

DOES ANYBODY ELSE THINK THAT PREMATURE ATRIAL CONTRACTIONS, AND STOMACH GAS GO HAND AND HAND.

Hello, These are symptoms I've had for about a year now: Off-balnce/unwound feeling (imagine an unwound sewing spindle), fatigue, lack of energy, general weakness, roller coaster digestive symptoms (abdominal pain, rectal spasms, gas-top & bottom all day long, bloating, some soft stools, anxiety. I was on Remeron since the first week of September and dropped it because my Liver Function tests came back high.

I got off of the cymbalta because I dumbly told myself I was fine and no longer needed it. Then boom... everything and more came and hit me like a train. After reading that, I definitely have symptoms of agoraphobia. Not good.

Also, much more pronounced pain with presence of gas in my bowel. Use stool softener, celebrex and percocet (3/day) and 1 valium at bedtime. For whatever reason, my body produces an incredible amount of gas...much more in the last year or so without any change in dietary habits. Large farts 3 or 4 times/night. When gas builds up, nuero pain (not gas pain) wakes me up. Any movement in bed wakes me up. Mornings are very hard....

So my doc put me on 30mg of Cymbalta 4 months ago and I noticed zero help with the pains. So I stopped taking it about 5 days ago. As of yesterday I felt like I was an absolute mess. I had been having these HORRIBLE headaches, nausea, dizzy spells, confusion, and crying spells out of nowhere. This all brought me to do a little bit of research and I found out it is all withdrawal symptoms.

I worked my way up to 200mg of Lamictal a day -- and the bad stomach cramps and nausea lasted about two weeks. I was in tears some nights, doubled over with stomach pains and lots of gas -- my normal "anti gas" meds (Pepcid, Rolaids, etc) did nothing to help and I just had to suffer through it for those 2 weeks until the side effects passed. After that, I have had no further problems with the Lamictal and it does seem to be helping control my bp mood swings.

and weighs 89 lbs, and no doctor is seeming to take this seriously. Everytime I do put something in my stomach, I get gas, probably because it is so empty and its filled with air. I don't throw up, but that's because I keep myself from doing so because I am afraid of vomiting. So now I am just to the point where I just won't eat.

Popping joints can be caused by tendons rolling over the joints, gas escaping the joints or from the uneven surfaces of arthritic joints. Do you have arthritis?

Hi, My doctor wants to put me on cymbalta for nerve pain that I have been having from an injury I have from 2005. It's nerve pain from a fall I took. He says it will help to calm down the nerves and signals from my brain to help with the pain. The prescription is for 30mg, 1 tab a day then increase to 2 tabs and recheck with him in a month. I'm alittle scared to take this, as I have never had to go on this kind of medicene and I'm afraid what the side effects might do.

Only took Cymbalta for 3 months but had side effects of being off balance lightheaded feeling like I am walking in a boat now I being taken off the drug and having nightmares the sweats headaches anyone had this experience with this drug?

So I took my first Cymbalta today. Other than Paxil, nothing else has worked for me (Lexapro and Effexor). Anyone have any good experiences with Cymbalta? Just wondering what I'm in for this time... Thanks!!

Would you recommend stopping Effexor and switching to Cymbalta? Will Cymbalta reduce the withdrawal effect? My daughters were both recently put on Cymbalta, and their depression is much better, and they claim they are "thinking more clearly". Thanks for your input.

Did your doc just tell you to stop the Effexor and start the Cymbalta? What dose of Effexor are you stopping at, and what dose of Cymbalta are you starting at? Some people have seamless transitions, while others report some symptoms of a discontinuation syndrome, like you mentioned above. Hopefully, you'll have a smooth transition. Definitely let us know how you're feeling.

I have tried it all! Everybody is different. I am on 60mg of Cymbalta. I can't not take it though because it messes me up (if my insurance is messing around etc...) but if youre ready to be consistent, I'd try it.

HI I am going to the doctor on the 13th of june to get on an antidepressant.

That being said, her doctor was wise to switch her over to another medication like Cymbalta. 30Mgs of Cymbalta is a good starting point and this gives him option to ramp the dosage up as needed. Regardless of this fact, Cymbalta, May or may not be an effective medication for her. I tried Cymbalta for 7 weeks at 60Mgs per day (after 4 years on Effexor) and in my case it did NOTHING to help with my condition.

Hello LA, Thanks so much for the response to my rant yesterday. I feel better today. Still have the double vision but like always my friends here cheer me up. To answer your question. I was on Cymbalta for about 6 weeks. I asked to be taken off of it. It was making me feel strange. Very "short Fused", irritated, grouchy. I started taking Effexor when this started and I went back to it just a higher dose now. I have seen where people here have got on it and it has helped very well.

Cymbalta made my depression worse and made me pretty nauseated. But then, I never do respond to psychotropic drugs or antidepressants very well.

My Dr. wanted me to try low dose Cymbalta for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and did not have the 30 mg samples so i was given the 60 mg with instructions to empty the capsules into food, as this would reduce the dose by approximately half. I became very ill with vomiting and severe diarreah. I was up all night running to the bathroom and was concerned when i looked up information on cymbalta that said not to open capsules.

I had insomnia and fibromyalgia. My doctor put me on Cymbalta. He said it would help me with sleep and pain. It was 2 weeks of hell, no sleep and constant pain and I wanted to kill myself!!! I was not depressed and have no history of depression. my doctor switched me to amitriptyline. It helps with sleep but not pain, I would never recommend Cymbalta to anyone !

Does anyone have any personal experience with Cymbalta? I have recently been prescribed Cymbalta and I would like to know if it is a good treatment for Anxiety and Depression. Thank you in advance for any informtion.
