Cymbalta dosage side effects

Common Questions and Answers about Cymbalta dosage side effects

cymbalta

Avatar n tn Lexapro gave me gastroinstestinal side effects. While as Cymbalta now seems to give me sleep troubles/insomnia. However, sometimes the medication outweighs the side effects. Cymbalta allows me to get through a day without anxiety, I rarely have to take my clonozapems. Ask your psychiatrist the next time you visit them, they will have a better idea of what route to go.
Avatar n tn Attention anyone taking Cymbalta...PLEASE read about the side effects and the horrible withdrawl symptoms. It turned me into a zoombie then it took over a year to withdraw from. It is worse than anything I have ever experienced in my whole life. I am not going to be a guinea pig for any more of these new drugs, I'll just stick with vicodin.
Avatar n tn I took Cymbalta for a short time and experienced no side effects from it. But we know that everyone reacts differently to these types of meds. Unless you have had problems with these types of meds, I wouldn't worry about when and what will happen, because you truly won't know until you start taking it. Hopefully, you will do just fine. Take care!
387767 tn?1345872027 Hi, I am posting this for my 21 yr. old son. He is in college and he had extreme anxiety and depression and was put on Cymbalta. He's been taking it for about a month. He complains to me that he yawns constantly, is really drowsy, almost to the point where he falls asleep at random times and it's upsetting him. However, his anxiety and depression are much better. I looked up the side effects of Cymbalta and these are not very common ones, so I don't know what to tell him.
Avatar m tn t want any side effects (especially sexual side effects)...but my depression was too much. I seem to be a bit happier on 60 mg. but the anxiety is still there. I've been experiencing anxiety for many many years though so I have found ways to help me cope like deep breathing, meditating, and other relaxation techniques which sometimes work...I also deal with the dreadful feeling of anxiety a lot and use the Xanax I have as if it were gold....
Avatar f tn Take it easy and try to get some rest, give yourself some down time if possible I find it fantastic (except for sexual side effects/though not as bad as Effexor) I mean mood wise, it makes me completely together. It just suits me down to the ground. I have energy, sleep well, feel joy. I am really enjoying my life. It started working in 10 days and after 6 weeks I felt fine. My psychiatrist here in Vienna Austria swears by it, she said she has seen great results with it.
Avatar n tn all drs love to push pills and you are on a new type of ssri med with cymbalta and the old prozac pills back in the olden days and i dont hear good things about the tricyclics. can cause eventaully strokes and other negative pills side effects. why are you on 2 anti depression meds. take one or the other. you need to be open and tell dr what you want not what he wants. trust me!!
Avatar f tn After seeing my doctor lately, she has decided to take me off my Cymbalta. I've been on it for 3 years with no change in my depression. What I'm wondering about are the withdrawals that I think I've been experiencing. The doctor also has put me on Paxil while weaning me off the Cymbalta. The symptoms I've had are mostly being very shaky; so much so that it's hard to hold a spoon because I'm shaking that badly. Is this normal and will it go away?
Avatar f tn However I had relatives who were on cymbalta, they experience side effects, both good and bad, including fainting. So If you are experience effects from it, work with your doctor on titrating down the dosage just to be safe.
Avatar f tn Has anyone taken Cymbalta for depression? If so, how long...what were the side effects if any? How long have you been taking it....are you happy with it?
Business woman1 I was removed off of saphris last october, and was put on wellbutrin 150mg and had a TERRIBLE reaction to it. now think I am experiencing side effects that (in my opinion) appear to look like adrenal problems (fatigue, unneccesary anxiety, muscle spasms/twitching, problems walkng, craving sugars etc.
Avatar n tn I take Gabapentin for fibromylgia, i have had good luck with it, and had no side effects. What dosage are you at? you might google it for more information concerning the effectiveness and if there are any side effects.
Avatar f tn Jan 7, 2014 my psychiatrist switched me from 60mg Cymbalta to 100mg Zoloft. The switch was made bc I felt after 5 yrs, the Cymbalta might be pooping out. The first week I took 30mg Cymbalta with 50mg Zoloft. After that week, I stopped Cymbalta and went to 100mg Zoloft. It's now a little over 4 weeks since the switch and I'm having panic attacks like I haven't had in years & also that disassociation feeling that goes along w/anxiety & depression.
Avatar f tn I love it, I had a lot of side effects at the start though but they did go away about 3 weeks on I was feeling a lot more positive with more energy and little to no anxiety. i'm on 30mgs, because of how sick I was on it to start with they won't up my dose yet. I lost 6 kilos in two weeks on it but you should eat as much as you can because my body adapted to eating nothing and now the weight is creeping back a little - just because of starving for 3 weeks.
1286779 tn?1400012806 She went to a doctor yesterday about her hair and the doctor told her that it was because of this medication (Lydrica) But I have seen all side effects and none talk about hair lost. And my mother does not want to leave this medication because its the only one that works for her burning feet. Has anybody else expirence hair loss with Lydrica? She also takes Cymbalta 60mg,lyrica 75mg, Nexuim 40mg, and Tramabol 50mg. What do you all suggest she get tested for ?
Avatar m tn that have tried these different treatments and which ones worked for you and which ones had extreme side effects, or did not help. Currently I am on Prozac, muscle relaxors (which don't help), and Tramadol (which also doesn't help). The only med that has worked for me so far has unfortunatley been narcotic medication. Can someone please offer some advice so I don't go into this appointment blind.
394774 tn?1235070839 t know why but have take cymbalta, didnt help me, lyrica did but suffered from the side effects of swollen hands and feet and excessive weight gain. You can get addicted to lyrica, it is a controlled substance. but if they work for you and take away the pain and you know you are gonna have to take them the rest of your life, who care.
Avatar m tn I am having OCD (Obsessive–compulsive disorder), Social anxiety and depression....
Avatar f tn t know whether you are experiencing side effects from the new med or side effects from withdrawal of the previous med. This is why getting in touch with your psychiatrist is the best option.
396332 tn?1320003615 There can be side effects from medication, however, remember that you are taking this for anxiety. When I started taking medication, I read about all the horror stories about them and tended to blame every little symptom that I was feeling on the meds. In my experience, when we have anxiety; especially when it is related to our health, we can sometimes tend to focus on what we are worried about...that is what can make this cycle of thinking so hard to get out of.
