Thanks so much for the additional info! You're right, that's QUITE the cocktail of meds! How long have you been on that specific regimen? You're new to the Cymbalta (from the Pristiq) for about a month, correct? I personally think that adding the Abilify is a bit premature. You never know, you may see some significant improvements with the Cymbalta, but it's still kind of early to fairly assess your progress with it.

What dosage are you at? you might google it for more information concerning the effectiveness and if there are any side effects.

I go to see my ob on Wednesday of next week but and really stressed out and am finding myself constantly searching the internet for some answers. I have been on the medication cymbalta for almost 2 years now. This medication has literly taken my depression almost completely away. I have a history of severe depression and so does my family along with some other mental disorders.

m worried that the combination of Cymbalta and Wellbutrin can cause this. Is the combintation of Cymbalta and Wellbutrin safe? Thanks very much!

I don't know what you will experience exactly but just from my experience on Cymbalta which I am currently on 30 mg didn't do crap for me and I didn't feel that i was that depressed but more anxious than anything. THen I did figure out I was more depressed than I thought but still depressed so they upped the dosage to 60 mg. 60mg is the standard dosage for Cymbalta. I had asked to be put on 30mg onlyh because I didn't want any side effects (especially sexual side effects)...

My Dr. just switched me from Effexor XR to Cymbalta. I took my first dose of Cymbalta in the evening, because the script said it caused drowsiness. I was wide awake all night and went to work the following day. Has anyone had a problem with this med at night? Now I'm not taking anything. I'm a mess. Probably going through withdrawals. Please help. I can't reach my doctor.

So I slowly weaned off the lexapro and switched to cymbalta. For a week i took 5 mg of lexapro and a 30mg cymbalta. Now I am at a therapeutic dosage of 60mg cymbalta. And I also take clonozapem up to 3 times a day if I have panic attacks. Lexapro gave me gastroinstestinal side effects. While as Cymbalta now seems to give me sleep troubles/insomnia. However, sometimes the medication outweighs the side effects.

HI I am going to the doctor on the 13th of june to get on an antidepressant.

I am currently on Cymbalta and the doctor increased my dosage but I am still having problems sometimes with depression. Does anyone have any suggestions on what medications would work with someone that is also diabetic with thyroid, neuropathy, asthma and allergies?

If memory serves me correct 90Mgs a day of Cymbalta is the maximum effective dosage. This basicaly means that in clinical trials any more than 90Mgs of Cymbalta was not shown to produce any further impact on the symptoms of the subjects depression. In my case I found Cymbalta to be the least effective of the SNRI group of SNRI drugs.

I wanted to know if anyone has been taking effexor for nearly a year my dosage is 150mg twice a day. Now my psychiatrist wants to put me on Cymbalta. He told me that it takes time for my body to accept the change and for a couple of weeks I won't have much of either in my system. I don't know what dosage is yet. Jan 7, 2014 my psychiatrist switched me from 60mg Cymbalta to 100mg Zoloft. The switch was made bc I felt after 5 yrs, the Cymbalta might be pooping out. The first week I took 30mg Cymbalta with 50mg Zoloft. After that week, I stopped Cymbalta and went to 100mg Zoloft. It's now a little over 4 weeks since the switch and I'm having panic attacks like I haven't had in years & also that disassociation feeling that goes along w/anxiety & depression.

The average dose for Cymbalta is 60mg per day, and although some doctors do prescribe it 120mg per day...there is no evidence to prove that it helps any more than the 60 mg per day. The maximim dose for Prozac is 80mg per day so you're still below the highest dosage on that one. I doubt your doctor will increase the Cymbalta anymore, and if he tries to...find another doctor! Im currently on Cymbalta and I just got my dosage upped to 60 mg. Do anti depressants noticably make you happier / less anxiety. Or do you not notice it at all....

Since he was already used to taking the valum, I am concerned that the combo with cymbalta is the problem. Perhaps the dosage is too high? What should we do until we can get to the MD?

Has anyone tried or currently use Cymbalta for Fibromyalgia. My primary care Dr. wants me to try it for my pain. I have glaucoma, it's under controlled but im still afraid to take it because of the side affects. Im in so much pain most of the time. I also have non hodgkns lymphoma and sarcoidosis and both are in remission , and I pray I can get some kind of relief. I really would like to hear some input on this.

s actually an SNRI (serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors) along the lines with Cymbalta, but hopefully it will be more affordable. It did have a good success rate in the studies and maybe it will be something else that can provide relief from pain. Thanks for the information dai3symae.

I was recently prescribed Cymbalta for severe Anxiety. I am taking it but I haven't been on it long enough for it to start working yet. Does anyone have any personal experience with this medication? Does anyone know how well this medication will work? I am worried it won't work at all. My Psychiatrist has tried me on so many different medications.

Ok so I have been taking Klonopin along with Cymbalta for a good 6 months. I started off taking .5 mg of klonopin about 1-2 times a day. Naturally over the months I started to gain tolerence to the drug. Now I take about 1mg of klonopin but just once a day. I notice this is starting to lose its effectivness now. If I taper down slowly can I gain effectiveness? Also how are klonopin withdrawl symptoms? I was on xanax for a while before this and I got off it with no problem.

Esp. since she increased the dosage of Cymbalta. With the internet, you can always check for adverse reactions to any medications you might be placed on. Often times the doctor will not mention this, nor the pharmacist...and one could have serious reactions to it. I had tried Effexor and Ultram (because the doctor prescribed it) and I began having seizure activity the second night. Be safe and I wish you the best of luck.

For anyone that Cymbalta has worked well for... what dosage worked for you? Dr. wants daughter to start with 30 and go to 60 after 4 days but my thinking is to see if 30 will work and give it a few weeks... why go to 60 if not necessary.
