I Normally lean towards the constipation side. I started a med called Cymbalta. Everything was fine until six weeks after starting it. I have had diarrhea for almost a month. I am a little better with soft strangely formed stools. Any ideas?
My doctor just prescribed me Cymbalta for my joint and muscle pain and also to possibly help with fatigue. I know that most drugs like this have to be weaned off of once they are stopped, so I'm not sure if I should start on it. My doctor said if my salivary biopsy comes back positive she would start me on Plaquenil and wean me off the Cymbalta. So I'm basically taking this just to mask the symptoms I have so that I can function until they figure out what is actually wrong.
m trying to figure out if this is the new medication. Has anyone taking cymbalta had tactile hallucinations, or what were other peoples experience.
Honestly, last night really freaked me out, and if it was the medication I am going to stop taking it immediately, so if anyone would share their experiences with me I would appreciate it.
My head hurts all the time and eating, anything, makes it worse. These symptoms have been going on for over 2 years and taking Lyrica, Cymbalta, and Topamax have not worked. I do not respond well to medications at all. Now, the muscle fatigue in my thighs have gotten worse. My other symptoms are constipation despite on fiber therapy, eye strain, and am easily dizzy.
Is this CFS?
I started Cymbalta over six weeks ago. Switched from Celexa which was maxed out. Everything went super smooth. No digestive problems at all. All of a sudden six weeks later I get diarrhea. It has lasted almost a month. Just recently it isn't watery, but it's still sof, but formed sometime. My Dr.believes it is the Cymbalta. Any body else have this happen weeks after starting a new anxiety med.
I have been having severe constipation for 3 months. I have tried every laxative and have yet to have a loose stool. I take 4 citracal/day 1 peri-colace and amitzia twice a day. Has not worked. This of course ending in horrid hemorroids, internal and external. I get extremely bloated and will have a severe stabbing pain in my left abd. quadrant. My h pylori was positive and I am scheduled for a CT. Any idea's of what my problem is?
Since then, I have had loose yellow bowel movements, chronic pain in my abdomen, shoulders, knees, feet and hands. Cymbalta helped but caused constipation. With that being said and the research I have done, my question is:
Is it possible that I have fibromyalgia? and Is fibromyaligia caused by a mental disorder such as anxiety or depression?
I'm wondering if anyone has heard (or ever used) a drug called Savella. I'm looking for non-narcotic treatments for pain and a nurse friend mentioned it to me. I looked it up and found there can be some withdrawal from it but according to what I read, if you taper off, it's fine. Becoming dependent on oxycodone has left me worried about trying anything that says you need to taper off it, even if it's not a narcotic.

MY DOCTOR PUT ME ON CYMBALTA 60MG PER NIGHT 13 DAYS AGO. I DO NOT KNOW IF WHAT I AM EXPERIENCING IS A COMMON REACTION TO THIS DRUG, IF I SHOULD GIVE THIS DRUG MORE TIME TO SEE HOW IT WORKS FOR ME, OR IF I SHOULD GO BACK TO MY DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY.
t suffered from constipation so I guess that I have to be thankful for something! I keep saying that Cymbalta hasnt worked for me but most of my physical symptoms have now gone and I only think that I am dying occasionally now so perhaps they are working after all.
Have you been tested to rule out a physical cause? If your symptoms have improved then it would suggest that it is anxiety as anti dreppresants to not suppress an actual physical problem within your body.
I sometimes think doctors don't tell you the real percentage of weight gain with a drug.
I was on cipralex for years and it didn't matter how much I worked out, weight loss was minimal. On a high carb diet and no excercise, I gained 40 or so lbs.
Everytime I go off of cipralex I lose weight. I don't care what they say, cipralex causes weight gain.
I was on mirtzapanine for a short while and I felt happy for once but together with the cipralex the 30 lbs came back within a month!
s Lilly) created Cymbalta, a half-fast replica of Effexor (just chemically tweeked a little). In short, basically Cymbalta was created with $$ in mind, not the health and safety of the people that would be treated with the med. Sad I know.

Which I do not know what he is looking for. So he said for now I am going to treat you for fibromyalgia and gave me Cymbalta to take.Has any one taken this? Well they make you feel like you are crazy or something. Why this med. I thought is was for some thing eles. Oh well I hope that I have found some people that understand. I really need help. I had sweating with Effexor and Cymbalta. It's not just the discomfort; you don't want to add sweating if you already have oily skin - breakouts. I think Prozac caused it, but I'm not sure. I'm currently getting by with a very low dose of amitriptyline. Not a lot of sweating with it, but it can cause weight gain and constipation. I need to gain weight right now, so it's okay.
im female, 16, and i started on topamax 50 mg to 75 mg a few months back for migraines, along with amitriptyline 50 mg to help me sleep but had no affect on me other than giving slight constipation, but i stopped the amitriptyline maybe 3 weeks after, im unsure. two weeks after i had started the topamax i went on cymbalta 30 mg the first week then 60 mg the second, but i had to stop it cause quite honestly all that medication does is mess your body up.
Hi, My doctor wants to put me on cymbalta for nerve pain that I have been having from an injury I have from 2005. It's nerve pain from a fall I took. He says it will help to calm down the nerves and signals from my brain to help with the pain. The prescription is for 30mg, 1 tab a day then increase to 2 tabs and recheck with him in a month. I'm alittle scared to take this, as I have never had to go on this kind of medicene and I'm afraid what the side effects might do.
Only took Cymbalta for 3 months but had side effects of being off balance lightheaded feeling like I am walking in a boat now I being taken off the drug and having nightmares the sweats headaches anyone had this experience with this drug?
