Cymbalta and valium

Common Questions and Answers about Cymbalta and valium

cymbalta

Avatar n tn The Valium-Cymbalta combo is safe and is something I used in the past. He's behavioral changes are due to the new norepinephrine reuptake inhibition that he is getting with Cymbalta that he wasn't getting with Paxil. Of course taking 3 Valiums will make most people act like you described as ''He is slurring words, falling over, and just out of it.'' but it's not due to the Cymbalta of at least I really don't think so.
Avatar n tn Thanks Ella, each day is better in my head and thinking clearing without the valium. Your reminder that thoughts are just passing thoughts, especially in this withdrawal time is a help.
Avatar f tn In your opinion would i be better off with the ultram and valium along with physical therapy, or the cymbalta with valium. I hate taking pills, and the withdrawal from cymbalta looks like a nightmare!! also I am going to start to see a therapist...hopefully that will help. Just in terrible cycle of pain..anxiety..no movement..more pain etc..... Thanks for your insight.
401095 tn?1351391770 gave my valium 2 mg twice a day to relax the muscles and cymbalta 20 mg daily and said cymbalta treats pain as well as depression..have always been a bit leery of cymbalta but at this point i will give it a shot for a week or 2 and see how it goes...anyone else have tmj or take cymbalta?
709686 tn?1277432159 I'm open to anything but I've never heard of Nivram. So far I've tried Prozac, Lexapro, Amatryptaline, Cymbalta and buspar and they all have horrible side effects on me. I've taken 5mgs of Valium before and felt GREAT the next day. No body aches, no mood swings, no cravings for my pain meds....it was wonderful.
919239 tn?1269394658 I am doing good on cymbalta with tolerable side effects
Avatar m tn and do take the theanine and 5htp at night as it causes me some sleepiness and the tyrosine gives me energy...cymbalta is not a tricyclic nor is it a mao inhibitor...
Avatar m tn Some antidepressants have been successfully used for pain. Cymbalta is commonly prescribed for pain and Effexor has shown promise in studies for pain. Some of the older Tricyclic antidepressants like Imipramine have had good results on pain. I have never heard of Zoloft being used for pain however. I suppose it could possibly work by the way it increases synaptic levels of dopamine but Zoloft is only a weak dopamine re-uptake inhibitor.
200277 tn?1214663674 No don't wean the valium fast. There is a huge difference between benzo's (valium) and opiates. You can have life threatening w/d from the valium. Stick to your dose, or break it into 1/2 and take twice a day and get on the phone w/your doc about weaning you off. Be patient, someone will give you advice on a taper sched for this med.
217229 tn?1192762404 OK - can anyone who has taken Lyrica and Cymbalta in conjunction with each other please give me your experiences --- and how long you've been taking them? I've been temporarily "diagnosed" with neuropathic pain issues (think Fibromyalgia). Waiting on some final test results to rule out any other Autoimmune Disease - but I believe I'll be finally diagnosed as Fibromyalgia. My Rheumatologist / Internist has prescribed Lyrica and Cymbalta together.
217229 tn?1192762404 I take Lyrica and Cymbalta and they help with the neuropathic pain associated with the Fibro and Diabectic nerve pain. The Cymbalta helps with a little pain. Side effects for me? I'm dizzy and sleepy in the daytime, but I take other things like Vicodin 750, Klonopin, Flexeril and Ambien, and Paxil. I gained weight with the Diabetes, so I can't tell. But I loved carbs before all of this.
Avatar m tn but is ur dr telling u to take sub and oxy each am? or cymbalta and oxy? but if u were on sub for 20 days why r u still on oxy? can u clarify? I was also on cymbalta as it is a fibromyalgia drug for pain as well as an AD//lyrica and nuerontin are also fibro drugs for pain..as well as other things....cymbalta nor lyrica agreed with me..when i was on cymbalta I did not give a flying F about anything! I would stay up til 2 on work nights, drank too much etc...
709686 tn?1277432159 All had horrible side efffects on me. The valium actually worked and I noticed that my zest for life returned. I realize valium is highly addictive but so is that other stuff. I'm rambling now but I just wanted to toot my own horn for just a second. TOOT TOOT!.
Avatar n tn At this time I am on Cymbalta, Valium, Ibuprophen (800 mg), Loritab and Skelaxan. And I am still in pain. I had one doctor that had me on Xanax rather than Valium and it seemed to help with muscle spasams more than the Valium but this doctor seems to think that it is habit forming and Valium is not? In the past I have tried Amytriptiline (Sp?) , Flexeril, Lyrica, Zoloft. I feel like I could open my own pharmacy. I hope that you can find a doctor that can help you.
Avatar f tn I didn't realize until very recently (last few days) that I was taking so many pills to help manage my pain. For over three years - Tramadol hcl 50mg tab -- up to 8 a day. For a year -Zanaflex maybe 3 a day For a couple years -Hydrocodone-Ibuporf 7.5 mg normally 4 a day but sometimes more. May 16, 20011 - June 8, 2011 - Cymbalta 60mg Delayed Release caps I went to the hospital in April 2011 and was so sick. I couldn't eat, I was shakey, sweaty, vomiting, ok...
Avatar m tn I just began a Cymbalta (30mg/day) treatment regimen, and coincidently ran out of clonazepam one week later. Rather than wait in the ER for 4 hours to see a doc, I am waiting for my next scheduled psychiatric appointment for a refill. It's been two weeks now, and my appointment is in another 2 weeks. I was prescribed .5mg/X2/day (morning & night) of Clonazepam (along with Trazodone (150mg at bedtime) for insomnia.
723959 tn?1314744225 I have been on antidepressants before so I thought i would throw my two cents in here...I think the anxiety and mentally weird could be from both the things your missing but it's increased because you normally take the antidepressant daily and now your body is missing that as well. I know when I went off my rx for my ad I had 3 days of bad anxiety and crazy things going on in my head.
1298907 tn?1272886488 ve been using Cymbalta with good results for a couple of years now. Originally I was on Cymbalta and Paxil. My PMP moved me off the Paxil and increased the Cymbalta dosage. The Cymbalta does a good job on my mood, fibro pain and abdominal pain. All nerve issues. But it does make my nauseated. Not a big deal because of my abdominal adhesions, nausea is pretty much a constant in my life anyway. I keep a Rx of phenergan and use them daily. I tried neurontin.
Avatar n tn Right now I have gotten down to approx 70 mgs of percocet and 10 mg of valium. I will start with the percocet and then deal w/ the valium as that needs to be tapered and I know how that goes. Again, please help me. I start on Monday and I know the drill.
Avatar f tn After two whole weeks of it I finally went to see my doc again and was diagnosed with migrains and prescribed Imitrax on top of Cymbalta & Lyrica. Now two days later Im still not feeling better someone please help me. All my blood work and test come back perfectly normal. I want to live a normal life again.
203003 tn?1210855907 Cymbalta can be very effective for some people. I took it for 2 months and unfortunatly in my case it didn't work at all. You can expect it to take a good 4 to 6 weeks before knowing for sure if it's going to be effective for you. Keep in mind that different people respond differently to different AD medications. Thus the only way to really know if it will work for you is to give it time.
1961084 tn?1325279027 Hey bfisch. Welcome to the forum! Should you be able to wean yourself off Lyrica and Cymbalta it would be great! (Funny one of my staff members was given free Lyrica recently, tried it for a couple weeks and gained a lot of weight while on a diet!. Obviously she stopped taking the Lyrica- she just told me this, embarrassed, yesterday) By using Muscle Ezze and the help of your Chiro or your Doctor it's doable, if it works for you. Did he give you the advanced V40? I have a friend D.C.
1365508 tn?1277931459 I have been fighting with my depression with so many different drugs, but nothing seems working well. Wellbutrin, Alphazolam, Cymbalta, Xanax, Valium, etc...I try all of them and nothing helps. What can I do to get out of depression? It hurts me a lot and I might do something to hurt myself. I am seeking therapist treatment, but I don't think it will help me much. Please help me or show me of how to cope with depresstion. Thanks!
1602878 tn?1304336016 Thanks for the ideas. I do take Neurotin and Cymbalta already and like one of you said, adding in Valium especially if its in the night. Here's hoping this bad flare subsides soon!
1184051 tn?1264435308 Thanks for answering with assuring words. I am on Cymbalta and clonazepam now. But for me the fatigue and memory issues have gotten so much worse in the last 6 months. I do have a good doc, I have been seeing her for 20 years now. So what meds are you on?
Avatar f tn My doctor just put me on Cymbalta 60mg and she told me it is good for young women with anxiety and panic as well as depression...The first day I felt really sleepy on it then by the second day and third day I was really starting to feel better by the end of day 6 no anxiety and no panic and I really felt normal..I tryed doing it on my own but my mind is to strong and i couldn't cope. Cymbalta is really helping me...Talk to your doctor and see what they think about that med...
