712802 tn?1274645485 No longer covered by her Medicare, her psychiatrist took her off the cymbalta and abilify. Switched to prozac 40 mg once a day. Last day for cymbalta and abilify was Wednesday. She is having horrible throbbing , headaches, angry outbursts, crying, the "runs", nausea, panic, agitation. She cannot get to sleep and wakes up after 4 hours once she does get to sleep. What she wants to know is whether or not she can take tylenol for the headaches?
Avatar f tn and if it seem to make a difference with the serotonin and norepenphrine.. compared to just serotonin.. and did anyone else have headaches that affected there vision with depression??
1168718 tn?1464983535 I started with headaches everyday then my neuro took me off of it and said that headaches are not something he wants me to have. I do take lyrica and it helps take the edge off of the pain. I hope he finds some kind of med that will help you. The gabapentin helped me for a while then stopped working so we increased the dose and it made me short of breath.
Avatar n tn I stop taking cymbalta about a week ago. Since then I have experienced headaches and nausea is this common? I was taking 60mgs for about a year for my fibromaylga.
Avatar f tn I have had daily headaches for well over a couple years. Four to five years ago my doc thought they were migraines and I took Imitrex about once every 2 weeks. Then I started getting a worse headache from the Imitrex, like my entire head was supersensitive, my hair hurt. He sent me to a neurologist who diagnosed occiptal neuralgia. That doc has been giving me botox injections in my neck and prescribed Lyrica. I can't afford the Lyrica -- its $300 a month.
Avatar m tn Hi, I have been on Cymbalta 60gm for almost 7 years and when I lost my health insurance for a few years, it was extremely expensive to have cymbalta without insurance---14 pill for $80.00. So I know where you are coming from. The longest I went without is 4-5 days and I felt dizzy, empty minded, had to really think before talking, major sweating at night, and crying all day or most the day. I have heard antidepressants are the hardest to get off of.
233622 tn?1279334905 I was on it and it helped me a lot but the side affect were too much. I started having headaches on a daily basis and would need to take ibuprophin every 8 hours and my neuro said to stop cause he doesn't want me to start with headaches, cause tht could cause more problems. Some on here take it with no problems though so I am sure they will chime in and tell you their experience. It did help me but he headaches were too much.
1823499 tn?1370090289 I am not experienced with Cymbalta and I was never on it....I know it is used for those with fibro.....and I wonder with being laid off if some of ur issues r stress related? Stress will manifest differently in a post op person...we r more sensitive..... Try and relax....
Avatar m tn This all started in december with sharp pains in my head - it turned to dull headaches with not so sharp pains, then pains in my neck (both in back and front) and tingling numbness in different areas of my face. Have seen neurologist, ear nose and throat, pain clinic and primary doc - had brain mri and cervical spine mri and all kinds of blood work. Docs seem at a loss and are thinking it is tension in my neck from damage caused by auto accidnet over 2 yrs ago.
Avatar f tn s been 6 months of daily headaches and countless medications and nothing has completely stopped them. At this time I started out with Cymbalta 30 mg for 6 weeks and am now up to 60mg daily and I can notice a slight improvement. At this stage of the game, I will take any improvement over the agony of the last 6 months. Even a patient of a Neurologist that so far has only prescribed Zonsomide for sleeping.
1168718 tn?1464983535 Hi Candy, I was taken off another one (can't remember which one now) and put on cymbalta a few years ago and I loved it, its been so long now that I can't really remember why except that it helped my depression a lot and some of my pain. I preached its praises for a very long time but like everything else I don't remember why... I think we are all different when it comes to meds as we do with our MS...so I would give it a shot.
1535467 tn?1342231670 I called my doctor today and he put me back on Cymbalta at 30mg for now, I have an appointment with him in a week. I was experiencing some extreme agitation in my chest area as well.. I'm sensitive to bodily changes. Feeling my brood pressure rise is one of them..
Avatar f tn Lexapro and Cymbalta both seem to jack up my blood pressure. I always had perfect readings 120/70 50hr On Cymbalta, I'm LUCKY to get 135/80, but often have gotten readings closer to 159/115. Scary as hell. I just quit taking Cymbalta 11 days ago because of this, and my systolic is down but the diastolic is still wanting to hover around 90... I was wondering how long I could expect this to last after discontinuing.. It doesn't look like this forum is doctor moderated though...

Avatar n tn ve been having a lot of headaches, neck and shoulder pain, muscle weakness and tingling in my right arm and hand and even sometimes in my left hand. I've seen a Neurosurgeon and Neurologist. I'm currently taking Lyrica and Cymbalta for the nerve pain. I've also had physical therapy twice, passed and EMG and a Myleogram. Any suggestions on what else I can try.
Avatar f tn May I ask whay your reaction was to taking Cymbalta and Savella together was? You can send me a private message if you don't want to post it. I was trying to go off of Cymbalta and onto Savella and my best description of it was "a living hell." I ended up at the doctors office telling her that my brain was broken. Wondering if your experience was similar.
Avatar f tn Hi, I've had a headache for two days on the right side of my head and spreads through my neck, this has happen before because I have headaches and migraines a lot. I'm 20 yrs old and female. I'm also experiencing a bad taste in my mouth . This has also happened before but I'm not sure why. Could this be anything serious . I've always been afraid of having a tumor but I have an anxiety disorder so I could be over reacting.
Avatar f tn I went to the Dr and told him and he up the meds. The Dr doubles my dose to 120 mg cymbalta. It has help the pain some but I don't feel right. I am staying sleepy and feel very depress. Can anyone help me with this.
1345272 tn?1276400328 Cymbalta and Wellbutrin + Methadone sounds good to me. I mean I personally tried Cymbalta for a few months a few months ago and it worked very well. Cymbalta was stimulating for me and gave me a lot of energy on it's on without using Wellbutrin. What is the other medication you are talkin about when you say 4 medications?
Avatar n tn I started with pain to touch on right side of spine and now very sore to touch on only top part of legs. Also, started having headaches on right side. They have tried Cymbalta and now Savella and it doesn't seem to be working. The soreness to touch is getting worse. Is there something I could suggest to the dr. to try?
Avatar n tn I found with both Effexor and Cymbalta gave me wicked headaches at first and when you are adjusting to any med, there is a possibility of sleepiness and temporary odd things. Once your brain adjusts 4-6 weeks, most people see a lot of improvement. You've had a lot of med switches, so I would say it's time to see an expert. Do you have a confirmed diagnosis yet? Meds alone aren't going to completely eradicate depression, you have to do some work as well right?
549637 tn?1316705828 The most recent I have been on is Cymbalta and it made me nauseated all the time. I cannot find relief from this bout of depression. I think about suicide all the time and I am not a very attentive mom any more.
