435762 tn?1244682620 I had a baby 7 monthes ago and I started excercising 1 1/2 weeks ago and I was wandering when I will see results. I have been jogging, step aerobics (30min home video by Cath), stationary bike, walking pushing 2 kids in a stoller, watching what I eat, no soft drinks, high protein, some light weight lifting. I am 5"11 and weigh 158 lb and I want to get to 150.
Avatar f tn In “The Cheat to Lose Diet,” Joel Marion states that cheat days can actually help you lose more fat. Cheat days, when you often have higher levels of caloric consumption, help keep your body from thinking it has entered starvation mode. When you occasionally consume a higher calorie meal during a diet, your body’s leptin levels increase.
865790 tn?1295201353 If you wore a Curves tj-shirt on a certain day, you got extra Curves dollars. It was kind of fun little thing. They also had some other "games" to make it more interesting, but after a while, they discontinued the "fun stuff".

Avatar f tn It sounds like the eating right/exercising plan is the way to go, and has already given you a lot of success! Take care.
Avatar f tn I had never heard of this program till I read your post. I am intrigued by the web site and although sceptical about any program promising 30lb loss in 6 weeks I was interested in what their online free questionair said about my body type. tis is what it said and I have to say a lot of it makes good sense......I too would be interestd to hear if anyone has done the program. As a Body Type E, your body has trouble building and maintaining lean muscle.
Avatar n tn I joined weight watchers and have lost 15 in 2 and half months I also do curves but if u plan on breastffeeding weight watchers accounts for that and that 15 lbs after I lost the baby weight
Avatar f tn You have to do things slowly, you have to make a plan. The plan should be not of what you want to do, but who and how do you want to be. Once you figure that out make a schedule that you can keep. Nothing harsh or extreme that will make you exhausted just by thinking. Maybe cut white sugars first week and exercise 15 minutes. Than cut white flour next week and add 5 minutes to your exercising. If you are searching for help you already started the process.
Avatar f tn Hey it seems like you don't need to lose anymore weight but rather tone up. The loose bits are from you losing weight. Try doing weights as an exercise rather than cardio. By the way, it seems like your weight is perfect for your height. Hope I helped!
Avatar f tn I exercise 5-7 days a week for at least one hour running or swimming, sometimes both adding up to 1 1/2 hours. I feel so much better about myself when I'm skinnier; I think this stems from the fact that I used to be a dancer. Any words of advice. I feel like I've exhausted my resources and I'm out of ideas. Do I just have to settle for the curves I've acquired? I'm only 23 years old and my mom and sister are both skinny. Why can't I lose weight?
Avatar f tn I've been trying to lose weight as a plan BEFORE I get pregnant, but of course my plan didn't work. So now I'm sticking to fruits and veggies and fish and no fried foods, etc. My belly is already a force to be reckoned with! I'm so afraid I'll be a ham before I'm even in my third tri!... I will walk and swim and get on the elliptical. But I guess the weight gain is inevitable.. anyone with some great encouraging words?... I'm only 6 weeks..
Avatar f tn I was eating good, walking 4 miles a day 3-4xweek and doing curves circuit 3xweek and a zumba class once a week, plus my husband and I clean 2 houses every Saturday morning during the summer. New blood tests were the ones I posted yesterday. Her thoughts were that the numbers proved adrenal fatigue...now making too much cortisol and that the straight t3 time released would pump up metabolism and correct the adrenal issues. Found info on the sttm.
7712902 tn?1393734882 I done A Low Carb Diet FOr Couple Of Years ITried The Curves Complete And Gained 20 Lbs IWent Back To The Low Carb Diet And Can't Lose What I Gained Help What's Going On
698538 tn?1228122979 I followed a book of what to eat from them. It was a day to day. ex. 1oz cheese, 1 small apple. 1 salad w 4oz chicken. 1/2 c blueberries, 1/2 strawberries, anyways it helped tell me what to eat... Even if you don't want to join, you may want to pop in and see if they have one of those books available to buy. I know their are updated versions but mine is like 6 years old. It's just a guide, and that's what I needed.
4853125 tn?1360043491 I.ve been completely clean (cold turkey) for 1 week. Just wondering how long it will be before I am able to wake up without thinking about taking something. Any advice would be Greatly Appreciated!!
Avatar n tn I have been working out 5 times a week for about a year now, I eat a calorie controlled diet eating about 1000 calories a day. I have seen my doctor who carried out some blood tests to check my thyroid, it came back clear. She checked for PCOS and it also came back clear. She suggested I eat more calories, but that just added the weight so I went back to 1000 calories a day eating mostly veg, salad, fruit, rice cakes and protein foods like fish, eggs and milk.
1089270 tn?1257174234 I am also glad to see a determined spirit! You already have initiated a plan with joining Curves and the best part of all....you know that it takes one day at a time! Welcome!
649848 tn?1534633700 Good morning everyone... the days are getting shorter and it's still dark outside at 6:15 am as I begin to write this, so I can't tell what kind of day it's going to be... we'll assume it's going to be hot again, since they've said we aren't supposed to have a cooldown until around the end of October. There's not been a lot going on this past week, so it's pretty quiet.
Avatar f tn The 500 calories alone you can cut out from your daily intake will lead up to losing 1 pound per week. Another 500 from exercising will be 2 per week. Slower is better. Not what you want to hear, but it gives you time to adjust and learn to eat right. You'll be less likely to gain it back.
Avatar n tn If talking like a mile and not around grocery store, no. I use to work out at curves 5 days a week. Hit 30 weeks and went down to 2 days a week Now doctor ordered me to rest more and sit or lay every few minutes. Even if he hadn't, I would not work out but once a month.
Avatar f tn but curves are good. My husband HATES girls who are straight like a board. Though I have too many curves and are aiming for your weight (and Im the same height..well 2 inches shorter) I still love having a bit bigger hips. Embrace your body, do eat healthy though but enjoy what you have.
