oh miss venus is much too smart for her own good. she's a very sneaky, sneaky girl. but...i love my horribly bad fuzzy but.
venus' sister and brother (not her litter mates) LOVE being brushed. they actually drag their brush to my mom and ask to be brushed. i'm sure soon venus will start hiding her brush. as soon as she sees it she takes off like a bat out of h3ll and hides. i've been trying to brush her everyday (she's got a whole lotta fur) but......i get sections done. lol. yesterday i managed to get the belly. my arms look like hamburger but her belly is tangle free.
is he the black and white tuxedo on the beige couche? that is HILARIOUS!!! he's a gorgeous baby! i just want to cuddles him!
if you hadn't seen i've got tons of my venus up. i have new ones to post of her and her brothers...i'll have to get that done soon.
we think we found the problem!!!! she's marking her territory! the "stray" cat that wonders around here has been making nightly visits to our patio door. last night greg was watching cnn (about the iran and korea **** going on) and he heard venus start to hiss and "scream" he went over to the door and there was a big, ol' orange tom cat sitting there. nose to screen staring at venus. so we THINK that may be her problem.
ok so i told everyone about venus learning how to open the sliding screen door to our patio....well last night the genius that is my hubby forgot to shut the glass sliding door so it was cracked (of course just enough for venus to fit her big, fluffy body through). she opened the screen door sometime through out the night and got out. after being awake for about 20 minutes i realized i hadn't seen her and that the door was open.
does anyone elses fur babies have a thing for paper bags or gifts bags?
yesterday was the boys birthday party and 90% of their gifts came in medium to enormous sized gift bags. so i'm being a slacker and left some of the gift bags on the floor....the kids like to play with them. well...venus has started to play IN them. earlier i was getting everybody ready for my bff's wedding reception and was not paying any attention to her.
well as if her playing dead trick wasn't bad enough venus learned something new.....she can now open the screen door to our patio. last night greg and i were watching the office when i realized i hadn't seen venus for a while. so we search the house to end up right back in the living room. that's when i noticed the screen door open a bit (it's a sliding door) i open and start to FREAK out! after about 10 minutes of hunting for devil cat she came slinking home.
Ive been reading your posts about Venus for a month or so and she seems like a cat who is very intelligent....and perceptive. I used to have a cat that ALWAYS acted strange if we packed to go on a vacation or move or just get a new couch or bed etc. Some cats act really strange when their environment changes or people are acting different (rushing around with boxes).It could just be her kitty nerves acting up. Lets hope so! Sometimes I wish we could sit them down and explain what is going on..
i told them about my protected encounter and they wanted to do a venus draw and send it off. Ofcourse i aggreed. i also begged the head clinician to do another rapid test to see if it provided the same results. She told me that they had another test do this and when the venus draw came back the guy was negative. She said she was going to take the test out of another lot number to do the second test.
