Avatar n tn Can birth control effect your cycle length? I was on Lo Ovral for 2 years and my husband and i decided to try for baby #2. With my daughter we tried for 2 months and i was pregnant, piece of cake! but this time around is a different story! i know it has only been like 3 months, but when ttc it feels like forever!!! so my question is.... does coming off the pill effect your chances of getting pregnant right away? and also, i used to have a 26 day cycle, like clockwork!
Avatar f tn m pretty sure i am bipolar) And will be seeing a doctor as soon as i can about it. But I started taking LO/Ovral birth control at the same time I started taking my prozac and my mood greatly improved. Since I have run out of my birth control my mind isn't as stable. I'm not sure if the LO/OVRAL had any thing to do with it but it might help.
Avatar f tn I haven't had a period yet but I am feeling some cramping and I did have unprotected sex when I took the 2 active pill.
Avatar n tn I wasn't sure where to post this since Gynecology was closed. I really need help so please forgive me if this isn't the best place. I'm under 30, a virgin & since last year, have problems with my cycle. Last year, when my period started, I went thru stress & my period lasted 3 weeks. It was a moderate flow, but I went to ER since I had no insurance & no OBGYN/doc would see me. 1st time in ER, they checked my vagina, said I was fine & gave me Medroxypr AC 10 mg.
Avatar f tn Hi , I am on the BC Lo Ovral and I missed a pill yesterday , but I doubled up today , but I also got my period today. I dont know if I should keep taking my horomone pills or take my placebos , even though I wasnt due to start my placebos for another 4 days.
Avatar n tn Hi Soniya, The first pill I took was ortho-cyclen. I tolerated it very well. Then they put me on kelnor and now I am on Lo-Ovral and still not having a period.
Avatar f tn Aww i'm sorry about your pain. That exact thing happened to me with lo ovral (which I was prescribed to for my endometriosis). The longer I was on it the more pain, heavy bleeding, and negative side affects I had. My doctor then told me to just stick it out for three months because it could get better, but by half way through month two I had had way more than enough of that pill. My new doctor said that it really only takes a couple weeks to know if a pill won't be the best for you.
Avatar f tn So early Sunday morning I had sex with this guy. We didn't use protection, I'm not on birth control, and he pulled out but I'm not sure how fast. I looked online and it said take 4 Cryselle(a birth controll) and then 4 more 12 hours later. It said that should work but I'm not sure. I need help bad. My parents don't know, and I'm 15. Help ASAP!
Avatar f tn A few months ago I was prescribed birth control by my doctor, I was given Cryselle 28. I am 16, sexually active and suffering from moderate to sever acne. To both my doctor and I, birth control was the answer. I was not even able to get halfway through my second pack. Within a matter of weeks I gained 15 pounds. I'm pretty active as I play soccer and run often and my diet is that of the average 16 year old so not that great but nothing too bad.
Avatar f tn was on famynor I had nausea bbut I continued with it until am fine with it now they gave me ovral m experience nausea again but they said ovral and famynor is the same thing ..
452571 tn?1311156476 method as contraception, it happened about four times that week. Last week he came inside me and I took two Ovral and then another two after 12hrs. For about two weeks now my breasts are very painful and they look much bigger than usual and my period is only due on 5th of Nov. so it can't be that. Could I be pregnant and if yes, could I have damaged the fetus by taking Ovral.
363110 tn?1340920419 Does anyone have experience with Lo Ovral birth control pills? Did you gain weight? did your sex drive drop? was it effective? I read on a site that even tylenol will affect how well it works. My dr. first wrote for Nuvaring (fam. dr) then because insurance wouldn't cover it he changed it to this pill... I've used nuvaring before, and the shot. on the ring I LOVED it, few side effects etc.
Avatar f tn have had a month of no bleeding and than a month of heavy bleeding, was prescribed ovral g. but there after the sugar levels have risen and have had to increase my insulin dosage.
Avatar f tn I started cryselle about 3 weeks ago, and for almost that whole time I've had leg pain from my thighs all the way down my calves. The pain is in both of my legs, so I'm pretty sure it's not a blood clot causing it. Does anyone know what could be causing the pain? I am at the point where I may just quit taking it, as my acne has gotten much worse, and I've been having bad mood swings, since I started taking it.
1767903 tn?1313729549 Thank all of you. and yes ive been told since i was in the 8th grade. i was 13 that i would have problems. i have a reoccurring cist that is the size of a grape fruit. and with that pregnancy i was upset with myself. i was on birth control " lo-ovral" which is supposed to be the strongest pill you can get. i ended up with tobsillitus and the anti-biotics canceled my bc, which i didnt know would happen.
Avatar n tn Against my better judgement, I followed a regime recommended by a VA Gynecologist that included birth control pills(Lo/Ovral.28) for 2 cycles (3 months each) in order to stop the bleeding and took Iron pills to rebuild my blood count. The doctor insisted that she was weighing the odds against "the greater good." Well my concern about increasing the risk of exacerbating an existing breast condition turned out to be true.
Avatar f tn Ok, so I was prescribed to Lo-Ovral birth control for my endometriosis. I'm taking it in doses that supress my ovaries so that I only get my period every three months. My doctor told me that the day my next period started to start taking the pills. I was expected to get it on august 24, but on the 22 I had some bleeding. I assumed my period was coming early (its never regular so I just assumed this) and started the pill.
Avatar m tn The liquid biopsy technology, cited by MIT Technology Review, was the result of over 20 years of research by Professor Dennis Lo Yuk-ming, associate dean of medicine at Chinese University. Lo has recently made major breakthroughs in spotting cancers of the liver, and nose and throat, at the earliest stage using the new DNA sequencing technique, with success rates from 85 per cent to 96 per cent. "We always knew the value of liquid biopsy to the medical world," Lo said.
Avatar f tn t taken any pills since or had sex. Is it possible that I could get pregnant? I was taking Cryselle.
Avatar f tn Express scripts never sends my perscription on time and usually when they do, they send the wrong perscription of a thing called Cryselle (0.3, 0.03). The differences in numbers stress me out but I have a lot of unused pills of that brand because of all the mess ups. I’m running out of my Estarylla and it will be awhile before Express gets their act together, so will it be a drastic change if I take those pills the last week of my cycle to ride it out?
Avatar f tn Nothing worked until I started the BC pill Cryselle. I have had no problems for 6 months but suddenly i began spotting and now i’ve been bleeding heavily for 2 weeks. I’m unsure why this would suddenly occur when I didn’t miss any pills or taken any pills late. I just thought I finally found something that worked and It’s incredibly disappointing to be back at square one it feels like.
Avatar n tn I am a 54 year old female, and about 50-60 pounds overweight. I am not sure if I am in menopause because I still take Lo-Ovral and still get normal periods. What do you make of this?
Avatar f tn I am worried about my cycle. Last month i had a normal cycle, but this month my menstruation or 'withdrawal' bleeding hasn't occurred. I am on the birth control tablets Cryselle (21-28 day. 7 are inactive). In January I took the first and second week of tablets. I forgot to take the third week and fourth week of tablets. I did not partake in any sexually activities. My body was fine, normal bleeding, normal ovulation.
Avatar n tn When I was about 19 I went to three different doctors and they all told me to go a pill called ovral. It really helped, my cramps have reduced tremendously and I only get my period for about 5 days.

452571 tn?1311156476 ve been on Ovral28 for a week now and this morning I started feeling extremely nauseas If I was not on Ovral I was suppose to start my period this week but because I started the pill I'll only get my period when I'm on the red part. Could it be the pill that making me so nauseas or could plan B have failed and I'm pregnant again.
Avatar m tn My GYN put me on Cryselle 28 birth control because my period was over 2 months late and she said I have polycystic ovaries. I am of normal weight (5'3 and 126 lbs) but my breasts have swollen so much and are in so much pain, and I am gaining a lot of weight while maintaining a healthy diet. Do I have a choice to stop taking birth control to avoid its side effects, and do I have another option to treating PCOS and regulating my menstrual cycle other than birth control?
Avatar f tn So I would not have any problems doing it with Cryselle which is the pills am taking now. Also, one more questions, once I want my period to come down again all I gotta do is take the whole 28 pills normally?
