So early Sunday morning I had sex with this guy. We didn't use protection, I'm not on birth control, and he pulled out but I'm not sure how fast. I was put on birth control(Cryselle) almost 3 weeks ago. My doctor didn't tell me how long it takes to get in my system and I had unprotected sex last week. My friend told me it only took a few days and I believed her because she is on birth control also. The papers that came with them didn't tell me how long. I just need suggestions for birth control pills that are good for people who are extremely sensitive to hormones. I've had the Mirena IUD, which didn't cause me to gain weight, but caused my skin to look awful and other issues. I know every person reacts differently to birth controls, but I'm really starting to feel like there is nothing out there for me. I just don't want to gain weight or get acne.

Last month i had a normal cycle, but this month my menstruation or 'withdrawal' bleeding hasn't occurred. I am on the birth control tablets Cryselle (21-28 day. 7 are inactive). In January I took the first and second week of tablets. I forgot to take the third week and fourth week of tablets. I did not partake in any sexually activities. My body was fine, normal bleeding, normal ovulation.

To both my doctor and I, birth control was the answer. I was not even able to get halfway through my second pack. Within a matter of weeks I gained 15 pounds. I'm pretty active as I play soccer and run often and my diet is that of the average 16 year old so not that great but nothing too bad.
My girlfriend has been on birth control for about a month now. We had sex on 11-17-12 and She was expecting her period to be on 11-20-12! She says she feels the usual symptoms as if she would be starting her period but yet it hasn't started yet. Could this be the birth control altering her cycle? Or does this mean she's pregnant? About two weeks ago, I started taking the birth control pill Cryselle. A few days ago, I started noticing pimples in my pubic areas. I know I do not have an STD. I'm wondering if there is any possible way that the pubic pimples are a side effect to the birth control? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, any remedies to get rid of the pain and the pimples would be helpful!
My wedding is next month and unfortunately I am supposed to get my period that same day. I've heard that by taking the 21 active birth control pill and then starting a whole new package would make your period stop. I wanna make sure this is okay and that there would be no bad consequences if I do it.

I thought I was experiencing all of these things because of a birth control I was taking at the time called camilia so I stopped using it. Months later my symptoms left. My symptoms have returned now after I had my second daughter. I thought it was the birth control I was taking a month ago called cryselle so I stopped taking that too. Yet again I have the same thing (except for the numbness) even after I stopped the pill. Could you please tell me what I have? Or what I should do or take?

yea i agree with u on the whole guinea pig thing , but i dont think birth control is a womens chore, if i knew all the side effects &it was out longer i would deff get mine to do it lol. but i dont think most men would do it anyways just because the risk is what get some of them aroused.
I am about to start nuva ring and I was wondering if anyone has had any side effects from this BC that are something to worry about? I've been off BC for about 6 months or more now because of the risks and my doctor put me on nuva ring because he said it was less side effects...I'm a smoker and I'm 24 years old. Any thoughts?
I am a 30-year-old healthy female that started taking effexor xr in January. The dosage was raised to 150mg 2 months ago. I really haven't had any side affects. I went off birth control about a month ago, after taking it for 12 years and now I feel like my body is going crazy. I am having fluid seeping from one breast, head-aches that linger all day, I am exhausted even though I get plenty of sleep, I feel nauseous and dizzy often, and I am very emotional.
Anyone else decide not to take birth control due to all the side effects you take a chance with while taking them? What did you do to prevent yours,elf from getting pregnant again? I don't really want to take birth control never have I've seen how some people have side effects yes everybody is different but that's a chance I don't want to take of being depressed etc.
I recently had a cyst removed about the size of a grape from my left ovary, however when we went into surgery my dr found one the size of my uterus behind my uterus attached to my right ovary. As a result due to shape n size n history my dr removed my rt ovary. I cannot go on birth control since I've had breast cancer 2 yrs before. I'm currently 37. & feel the effects of hot flashes. I'm just wondering is this to be expected? & if so what else should I expect.
