Cryselle birth control effectiveness

Common Questions and Answers about Cryselle birth control effectiveness

cryselle

Avatar f tn I was put on birth control(Cryselle) almost 3 weeks ago. My doctor didn't tell me how long it takes to get in my system and I had unprotected sex last week. My friend told me it only took a few days and I believed her because she is on birth control also. The papers that came with them didn't tell me how long. Right after I had sex, I started getting headache's everyday. Is that a sign of pregnancy or is it just the pills causing them?
Avatar f tn A few months ago I was prescribed birth control by my doctor, I was given Cryselle 28. I am 16, sexually active and suffering from moderate to sever acne. To both my doctor and I, birth control was the answer. I was not even able to get halfway through my second pack. Within a matter of weeks I gained 15 pounds. I'm pretty active as I play soccer and run often and my diet is that of the average 16 year old so not that great but nothing too bad.
Avatar m tn My girlfriend has been on birth control for about a month now. We had sex on 11-17-12 and She was expecting her period to be on 11-20-12! She says she feels the usual symptoms as if she would be starting her period but yet it hasn't started yet. Could this be the birth control altering her cycle? Or does this mean she's pregnant? I need some information on what to expect and I need answers pleeeeassseee!!!
Avatar f tn So early Sunday morning I had sex with this guy. We didn't use protection, I'm not on birth control, and he pulled out but I'm not sure how fast. I looked online and it said take 4 Cryselle(a birth controll) and then 4 more 12 hours later. It said that should work but I'm not sure. I need help bad. My parents don't know, and I'm 15. Help ASAP!
Avatar f tn I am worried about my cycle. Last month i had a normal cycle, but this month my menstruation or 'withdrawal' bleeding hasn't occurred. I am on the birth control tablets Cryselle (21-28 day. 7 are inactive). In January I took the first and second week of tablets. I forgot to take the third week and fourth week of tablets. I did not partake in any sexually activities. My body was fine, normal bleeding, normal ovulation.
Avatar m tn My GYN put me on Cryselle 28 birth control because my period was over 2 months late and she said I have polycystic ovaries. I am of normal weight (5'3 and 126 lbs) but my breasts have swollen so much and are in so much pain, and I am gaining a lot of weight while maintaining a healthy diet. Do I have a choice to stop taking birth control to avoid its side effects, and do I have another option to treating PCOS and regulating my menstrual cycle other than birth control?
Avatar f tn ve ever had in my life and I noticed that the blood at first was pinkish , then turned red but it had almost like tissue pieces in it ( this period is when I started my birth control called cryselle) so I was worried but my period came so I thought maybe it was my uterus shedding. My periods are usually 7 days but this period ended up only being 2 days and like a morning of 3.
Avatar f tn About two weeks ago, I started taking the birth control pill Cryselle. A few days ago, I started noticing pimples in my pubic areas. I know I do not have an STD. I'm wondering if there is any possible way that the pubic pimples are a side effect to the birth control? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, any remedies to get rid of the pain and the pimples would be helpful!

Avatar f tn I recently had unprotected sex and I wanted to make sure my birth control actually works. I’ve had it in for a year and a half, I’m 5’5 and 330lbs. I read that in obese women it may be less effective over time so I was just wondering. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I just need suggestions for birth control pills that are good for people who are extremely sensitive to hormones. I've had the Mirena IUD, which didn't cause me to gain weight, but caused my skin to look awful and other issues. I know every person reacts differently to birth controls, but I'm really starting to feel like there is nothing out there for me. I just don't want to gain weight or get acne.

Avatar n tn If I haven't take my birth control at the same time everyday for 2 weeks are the risks of pregnancy increased?
Avatar f tn Go to planned parenthood website and look at the birth control. They have a list of all the birth controls the effectiveness and pros and cons. It helped me decide that condoms and the pill is best for me.
Avatar f tn It really sounds like your birth control could be causing all of these symptoms. You did have a period after intercourse, and have had one every month since then. If your symptoms are really bothersome you can see your gynecologist about getting on a different brand of pills. You can do the switch right after your next period. No, I really don't think you're pregnant. You could get pregnant by doing what you and your boyfriend did but the chances are very low.
1703515 tn?1350500231 I heard that Klonopin may decrease the effectiveness of the birth control patch. Is this true? Has anyone ever taken the two together?
Avatar f tn What's the liklihood of becoming pregnant when youre on birth control and you skip a few days or don't always take it on time and u have unprotected sex?
Avatar f tn I thought I was experiencing all of these things because of a birth control I was taking at the time called camilia so I stopped using it. Months later my symptoms left. My symptoms have returned now after I had my second daughter. I thought it was the birth control I was taking a month ago called cryselle so I stopped taking that too. Yet again I have the same thing (except for the numbness) even after I stopped the pill. Could you please tell me what I have? Or what I should do or take?
Avatar f tn My wedding is next month and unfortunately I am supposed to get my period that same day. I've heard that by taking the 21 active birth control pill and then starting a whole new package would make your period stop. I wanna make sure this is okay and that there would be no bad consequences if I do it.
Avatar f tn antibiotics can reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills. You should use a back up method of protection such as condoms while you are taking the antibiotics. Other than that there aren't any interactions between the two.
Avatar f tn http://www.plannedparenthood.org/health-topics/birth-control/birth-control-effectiveness-chart-22710.htm Have you ever been late for your period before? Most women get their period during the placebo week. Are you taking the 21 or 28 day pack? I usually start the exact same day, on a Wednesday, during the placebo week but I have had my period start a day before or a day late. When I was a teenager, my period was always on a Sunday.
Avatar m tn Hi, I was wondering if I can store my birth control pills in a pill finder (I have many other pills to take and doing it this way makes it much easier to keep track of what pills I've taken and when). I was recently told that removing the birth control from its bubble package with decrease the effectiveness, so it's really important that I know whether or not this is true. I have a pituitary adenoma and the pills are necessary to keep my periods regulated. Please help me! Thank you!
