A few months ago I was prescribed birth control by my doctor, I was given Cryselle 28. I am 16, sexually active and suffering from moderate to sever acne. To both my doctor and I, birth control was the answer. I was not even able to get halfway through my second pack. Within a matter of weeks I gained 15 pounds. I'm pretty active as I play soccer and run often and my diet is that of the average 16 year old so not that great but nothing too bad.
I just need suggestions for birth control pills that are good for people who are extremely sensitive to hormones. I've had the Mirena IUD, which didn't cause me to gain weight, but caused my skin to look awful and other issues. I know every person reacts differently to birth controls, but I'm really starting to feel like there is nothing out there for me. I just don't want to gain weight or get acne.
The birth control is what helps stop the formation of cysts on your overies, as well as managing the weight gain from PCOS and keeping your periods regular.
I'm not getting on any after this baby . It screwed up my system bad with every one I took . Just gonna use condoms . The pill works if you don't miss any . The depo makes you gain weight (most girls do) the marana (or how ever you spell it) and cause a lot of problems for most women and get stuck . I heard a lot of women hair the one they put in your arm .
So early Sunday morning I had sex with this guy. We didn't use protection, I'm not on birth control, and he pulled out but I'm not sure how fast. I looked online and it said take 4 Cryselle(a birth controll) and then 4 more 12 hours later. It said that should work but I'm not sure. I need help bad. My parents don't know, and I'm 15. Help ASAP!
I started cryselle about 3 weeks ago, and for almost that whole time I've had leg pain from my thighs all the way down my calves. The pain is in both of my legs, so I'm pretty sure it's not a blood clot causing it. Does anyone know what could be causing the pain? I am at the point where I may just quit taking it, as my acne has gotten much worse, and I've been having bad mood swings, since I started taking it.
And on the May 12th I started taking cryselle (switched from tri sprintec due to weight gain) and a week and one day later my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex and have pretty much been having unprotected sex since although he always pulls out.
*For about a week or two I've been having pregnancy symptoms, swollen and tender breasts, horrible cramping, smells bother me really bad, i get headaches every day, and I'm always really nauseous.
I have had ultrasounds and blood tests and pap smears and told nothing was wrong. Nothing worked until I started the BC pill Cryselle. I have had no problems for 6 months but suddenly i began spotting and now i’ve been bleeding heavily for 2 weeks. I’m unsure why this would suddenly occur when I didn’t miss any pills or taken any pills late. I just thought I finally found something that worked and It’s incredibly disappointing to be back at square one it feels like.
I had sex on Sunday and took the first pill for the second week that night. I haven't taken any pills since or had sex. Is it possible that I could get pregnant? I was taking Cryselle.
Express scripts never sends my perscription on time and usually when they do, they send the wrong perscription of a thing called Cryselle (0.3, 0.03). The differences in numbers stress me out but I have a lot of unused pills of that brand because of all the mess ups. I’m running out of my Estarylla and it will be awhile before Express gets their act together, so will it be a drastic change if I take those pills the last week of my cycle to ride it out?
This is the time in your life more than ever that you should be eating healthy and exercising regularly. Expect to gain weight ; that is healthy and necessary for most women, but if the gain happens too quickly you MUST Work with your OB to ensure that you are as healthy as possible.
I would really listen to Alaysha's advice personally.. She's a model and one of the most stunning pregnant women I've ever seen, so I'd follow her rules for healthy weight gain personally lol.
I have taken quite a bit of different antibiotics back in May. I have stopped taking it a about 3 weeks ago, maybe longer and noticed that I have a hard time gaining weight now. I have had bad anxiety and depression as well recently which may have caused my appetite to go down drastically but when it comes back I start to eat a lot and it doesn't seem like I can gain weight like I used too.
SSRIs are notorious for weight gain, but Prozac has less of a weight gain potential (compared to say Paxil). Your weight gain may be natural - over the course of 20 years. Or it may be the result of the Prozac. But 2-3 pounds per year to gain from an SSRI is not very much. I was on Lexapro for 2-3 years and gained nearly 40 pounds in that time.
It does make sense to take Abilify during the day if its keeping a person awake at night as it can be activating. If not it won't make a difference as regards weight gain. Abilify is the least likely out of the antipsychotics to cause weight gain. I have posted about the antipsychotics in development that won't do this but they still are not approved medications yet. If you were diagnosed with bipolar with psychotic features you need an antipsychotic.
I read some articles about this just yesterday and was surprised, for I take Lantus and have noticed no weight gain at all. So this could be a factor.
However, a change in metabolism in middle age probably is the real culprit, along with possibly a slower metabolism because you are not eating. Exercise should help both problems. Start walking! Park your car further from the door, take stairs instead of elevators, etc. Or use your lunch hour to do some mild exercise right in your office.
