I had a similar situation but in different circumstances (no CPAP, but a fungal infection from some yeast-based priobiotics I was taking) and it really needs to be properly diagnosed and treated with the meds that are effective against whatever the bug is (whether fungal or bacterial or whatever) and also preventive measures taken to ensure you are not accidentally re-infecting yourself with a possibly dirty CPAP system -- so I think you are on the right track with your questions.

It depends on the cause of the rash. Have you tried calling your doctor's office and asking their opinion? I usually default to trying triple antibiotic cream and/or cortizone cream on rashes to try to clear them up myself before consulting a doctor. However, cortizone cream should not be used on the delicate skin of the face (unless instructed otherwise by a doctor), as it can cause thinning of tissues over time.

Changing the tubing, keeping it spotless, did not help prevent infection for me. Stopping the cpap treatment, is the only thing that prevented the chronic lung infections...and I always used the humitifer, which never helped prevent any infection... I regret ever having the sleep study and I regret what all the money and time it cost me, and the suffering of 3 years of lung infections...I am so done using the cpap treatment!

Anyway should i not be wearing ear plugs using a cpap? And or should i discontinue the cpap until the ear infection is gone? Or is maybe the machine just set entirely too high? Like i said the machine forces me to sleep in minutes and also for the duration of the ear infection i wont wear ear plugs. Would this cpap issue have the ability to be fatal?

I am a 46 year old male and have sleep apnea. I use a CPAP with a high setting (15). I have a mask that covers nose only because the full face mask was a bit claustrophobic. I have noticed that I am waking in the middle of the night and morning with a mouth that is so dry I cannot swallow...teeth and tongue really dry. I am definitely still mouth breathing, even with the CPAP. I also noticed over the last week that my tongue is yellowish (related?).

Have you tried an over the counter vaginal yeast treatment? Some yeast are resistant to these as they all have fluconazole in them. The yeast are getting used to the anti-fungals that have azole at the end of their name. But it can also be Bacterial vaginosis (BV). You should get tested to find out if it is a yeast and if it is resistant and also have the laboratory check for bacterial vaginosis. Could you have a STD? If you would need to get tested for those.

See a doctor it could be a STD the symptoms from a yeast infection are the same as some STD I thought.
