Common Questions and Answers about Cpap supplies no prescription

cpap

Avatar f tn My friend's company replaces his CPAP supplies whenever he asks. They give you instructions on how to keep it clean. Obviously nobody wants to do it, but there are consequences. Otherwise they would let you do it the easy way. Now you have unexplained lung nodules, so you will have to get a biopsy to find out what is going on. Nobody here can help you.
961503 tn?1247059639 Go back to whoever you get your cpap supplies from and ask about a full face mask. The chin strap did not work for me....... I had to get the mask that covers both nose and mouth. Hope that helps!
Avatar f tn I have sleep apnea too and I stopped breathing over 300 times so 203 times is normal my pulse ox dropped in the low 40's I have a cpap machine and there are no horror stories about it as long as you get the right mask to fit you you will be fine there is air blowing when you breathe in and out it is normal especially if you have a nasal mask I have a full face mask because I am a mouth breather and because I have oxygen going in mine I like the cpap good luck.
Avatar n tn I have used scores of Prescription antihistamines, decongestants, eye drops, nasal sprays, saline flushes, have reduced CPAP pressures, and used different style mask over the past seven years! These help moderate symptoms, or recover from occurrences, but do not prevent them. > I wish more research would be done in this area.
Avatar n tn I have sleep apnea and was using the cpap machine but used it only once cause i could not at all sleep with a mask on my mouth and I could not aford to pay for it. So I returned it ,but now i cant sleep and during the day at abut after 12 noon i feel really tires and headaches and very sleepy . So i take caffine pills everyday to stay awake. I know taking pills is no the answer and I should be using the machine. My question is is there any other way to cure my problem with out the machine.
Avatar n tn I finally convinced my primary care physician to write a prescription for cpap. You need a prescription for a cpap machine since it is a medical device - it is illegal to sell it without one. As someone with undiagnosed UARS, I will tell you that the dental device (TAP, Somnodent) is much better first-line treatment. It took me 3 months to adjust the dental devices to reach the optimum lower jaw advancement setting. I have tried both the cpap and TAP and Somnodent dental devices.

Avatar n tn I am past the Cobra due date because I was told I would not have a problem getting coverage on my company's plan. So, being that I did not know any thing about qualifying events I missed the enrollment period. I have not had coverage since August of 2006. SO...I am in the process of qualifying for BCBS. I am looking for animas supplies and glucose supplies that don't cost as much money...as for seeing an Endocrinologist...I pay out of pocket.
7193739 tn?1389094691 I am not sleeping for more than an hour at a time and have tried 3 different prescription medications and many over the counter meds as well to no avail. Is there a way to have the pressure turned down on a machine without seeing a sleep specialist or would there be any advice on how to help my ear to heal or at least do something to be able to wear the cpap at the volume it is currently set at? I was afraid ear plugs or something might cause more damage.
Avatar m tn I’ve had sleep issues for many years and regularly use a cpap machine. I was on Ambien for 15 years and my physician weaned me off it, even though it worked well for me. My current routine has been, go to bed at 11:00 pm after taking (10 mg melatonin), (50 mg Trazodone), (100 mg Gabapentin). That has worked for 2 years giving me 7-8 hours uninterupted sleep.
Avatar n tn I have Guardian Insurance and they have already told me even though my supplies are a prescription from my Doctor they are considered "major medical" and are not covered , is it worth fighting for that ? it may be ?
Avatar m tn I seem to have developed an alergic reaction to my cpap mask. I have little red bumps on the right side of my face only in areas where the mask hits my face, ie. the silicone seal. What can I do to avoid this other than obviously not use the mask? Are my symptoms consistent with a mask alergy? My Dr. says its an alergic reaction and said to get a non alergenic mask.. I don't know where. The bumps are ITCHY and tend to be in tight little circles, some what like acne.
Avatar n tn The rules may be different in your state, but in NY, it's perfectly acceptable to request a CPAP prescription from your sleep doctor so you can order it on your own, from where ever you wish.
Avatar n tn me, I am starting to get things under control again. My problem is I have recently lost a job and have no health insurance. I have gotten state assistance for the syringes and insulin but it will not cover the test strips. Does anyone know where I might find assistance to pay for this these? At $85 every 3 weeks they are not cheap but without them my insulin dosing is sheer guesswork.
Avatar f tn The problem started for me one fine day when there was absolutely no stress in my life. I have been using CPAP after the titration study, but the sleep pattern hasn't changed. This leads me to believe something else as the cause of this fragmented sleep pattern. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn I've been on a CPAP for 2 1/2 weeks. I'm sleeping relatively well with it, 7-8 hours per night. Almost every day since I've had the CPAP I've had headaches. The headaches don't start when I get up, but rather a few hours later in the day. Earlier this week I saw my doctor for a check up and told him about these headaches, and he said they were real and probably caused by pressure on the brain.
Avatar n tn No the relationship between CPAP and floater increase would be coincidental.
1572585 tn?1309245054 Hi everyone. I was dizgnosed with sleep apnea a few years ago... I used my CPAP machine for a while in the beginning and thaqt seemed to have helped. Latelly, Due to several factors such as stress, withdrawing from seroquel, withdrawing from xanax, and such, I have had to ask for sleep meds prescription. I take restoril which helps, however I stay in bed for 12 hours at a time... I decided to try cutting the capsule in half, to see if that would help with the amount of time I spend in bed...
Avatar m tn I have a friend who has had 2 sleep studies which were inconclusive for sleep apnea. He had a trial of CPAP but wasn't able to tolerate it. He had not one but two mouth appliances made for him but both of them hurt his teeth so he can't use them. His dentist said he's never had someone before who couldn't be helped by an appliance. He's at a loss as to what to try next for his non-restorative sleep where he figures he wakes up between 15-20 per night.
Avatar f tn His insurance has been cancelled and the cost of her medical supplies is over $500. Does anyone out there know of any emergency help with the cost of her supplies or even free medication until im able to get insurance for her? I've already submitted application for medicaid but the process doesnt happen overnight, so i'm looking for help in the meantime. Thank you!!!
Avatar n tn There are pharmaceutical assistance programs offered directly by some drug companies for people with diabetes who have little or no insurance to help offset the cost of supplies or prescription medications. The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association (800-762-4636) has information on such programs. Additionally, the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a publication called "Financial Help for Diabetes Care.
Avatar n tn My wife uses a cpap machine with moisture every night. She has had two bouts with pneumonia this winter which she never had before using the cpap machine. Questions: Can breathing in excess moist air into the lungs by means of the cpap machine overload the lungs with moisture and cause problems?
