Common Questions and Answers about Cpap supplies local

cpap

Avatar f tn My friend's company replaces his CPAP supplies whenever he asks. They give you instructions on how to keep it clean. Obviously nobody wants to do it, but there are consequences. Otherwise they would let you do it the easy way. Now you have unexplained lung nodules, so you will have to get a biopsy to find out what is going on. Nobody here can help you.
961503 tn?1247059639 Go back to whoever you get your cpap supplies from and ask about a full face mask. The chin strap did not work for me....... I had to get the mask that covers both nose and mouth. Hope that helps!
Avatar f tn sometimes the suppliers themselves can help. http://www.pparx.org/ might help. and diall 211 in your area, they will have local info.
Avatar f tn Pressure support ventilation, where air under gentle pressure is passed into the airways keeping it patent. A CPAP delivers continuous pressure for both inhaling and exhaling. As this supplies continuous amount of air pressure the person has to exhale against this extra pressure. This makes it imperfect or unsuitable for certain people, such as those who are suffering from neuromuscular diseases.
Avatar f tn I have received free insulin and supplies from my local diabetes association
415305 tn?1202804817 I, too, have some pump supplies I'd rather see go to a needy, fellow diabetic rather than...where ever it is you're supposed to dump them (OR some "supplies flipper" trying to make a profit). I'm concerned that since my insurance technically purchased them, are there negative legal implications for giving them away (or sold as some people I see here are doing)? Not to mention they're a prescibed item and legally require an Rx to obtain. 'Just curious.
Avatar m tn Pretty sure that I need BiPap instead of CPAP. The exhale pressure is too high on CPAP even with the EPR maxed at 3 and a setting of 7cm to 9cm. I've read that someone had anxiety on CPAP and switched to BiPap and it was fine. There are times when I feel so tired that I could faint. Has anyone had any similar crazy symptoms like this?
Avatar f tn Hi there if you say it got worse when using mask , have you any leaks at the top of your mask , you may have it a bit loose tighten it up a bit , i hope it helps you , Please take care

Avatar n tn My insurance is no longer covering them and I am not permitted to work due to my diabetes. I am running low on pump supplies and dont have the money to pay for them through minimed. If anyone has upgraded to a new pump and has extras laying around please let me know!
Avatar m tn Also many people report buying strips on eBay for greatly reduced prices. I would talk to your doctor or a local clinic, though, because sometime there are special offerings for free diabetes supplies through pharmaceutical companies, etc. I also notice right on this site ads for free supplies through dlifedotcom. They are a reputable organization.
Avatar n tn org You can look up the company that makes the differnt things you use and follow the process on the website for applying for some assistance with these supplies. Some social service agencies or a social worker at a local hospital may also be able to help you find other resources. I would also definitely go to your local JDRF Chapter. Some chapters have access to samples, but if they don't they may know some local resources that might be able to help you out.
Avatar n tn hi I have a 508pump with a lot of supplies . The only thing needed is the clip for the back of the pump. I have the pen to help injection go easier, wait band to carry the pump, reg. case about 26 boxes of the reservoirs and about the same for the soft sets.
Avatar n tn I would also contact your local JDRF to see if they have any local resources for test strips or know of any other local assistance programs for diabetic supplies. I wish you luck and hope this helps.
Avatar f tn ve found that using a fully data capable CPAP, one that allows ME to access my therapy data each morning encourages me to continue w/CPAP therapy even when I am having difficulties as the data helps to point out what the difficulties are - most often just too high a leak rate. I've used and been happiest w/the Resmed S8 Elite, then the Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage and then the Resmed S8 VPAP Auto when I needed to be switched to a bi-level PAP due to my COPD.

461551 tn?1328992584 One thing I found out,,,, Walmart . com (online) has tons of cribs and dressers, with free shipping to your local store! It's fairly nice stuff too, and lots of 4 in 1 convertible cribs to choose from, at reasonable prices... I'm having to be a bargain shopper, hahaha since I am buying two of everything...
485772 tn?1208701878 I also suggest that you ask to be contacted by the nearest local chapter of JDRF, for there may be an individual in your area who has spare supplies, and it is extremely helpful for type 1 diabetics in an area to network.
Avatar f tn Or it could be something in your sleeping environment like sleeping with a fan in the room, or if you wear a CPAP. If it is persistenting then I would call your local ophthalmologist. If it is your sleep environment it should be a lot better.

Avatar f tn I've been reading a lot about insurance companies covering breast pumps and supplies. Does this also include Medicaid as well??
Avatar f tn If you have a medical supply store near you could see products and order there. My local store has a dozen catalogs filled with all brands of different supplies, including incontinence items.
Avatar m tn The most common treatment and arguably the most consistently effective treatment for sleep apnea is the use of a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device. In addition to CPAP, a dentist specializing in sleep disorders can prescribe Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT). It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar n tn check ebay you can get all kinds of medical supplies, we got a nebulizer off there for my sons asthma
1054090 tn?1343965695 If you do have sleep apnea, the treatment is that you will sleep with a CPAP machine. It stands for Continuos Positive Air Pressure. You wear a mask that blows air down your passages to keep them from closing when you sleep. Cause when they close is when you stop breathing. Id it is determined you have sleep apnea it is vital that you wear the cpap eveytime!! You can die from sleep apnea just as easily as a baby can die from sids.
