My friend's company replaces his CPAP supplies whenever he asks. They give you instructions on how to keep it clean. Obviously nobody wants to do it, but there are consequences. Otherwise they would let you do it the easy way. Now you have unexplained lung nodules, so you will have to get a biopsy to find out what is going on. Nobody here can help you.
Hi Everyone. I am 34 yrs old. From Kitchener Ontario. My DH and I have been TTC for 2 yrs now. I have had 2 failed IUI's and have moved onto IVF. I just had my transfer 4 days ago. I did not respond well to the drugs, and only had 4 eggs all of which ferilized with the ICSI procedure. 2 embryos were transferred that were 8 and 9 cell, grade 2. The other 2 were 6 cell and grade 2, and I received the phone call today that they did not make it to the blast stage to freeze.

I feel I have just started a journey that will be far more difficult and frustrating than my breast cancer ever was......

We have waiting almost a month for x-rays and now he is being sent to Kitchener to have color put through his system which they say could take up to 2 week before the appointment is schedule. Then after getting this result then Dr has to schedule surgery, which could take god knows how long that will be. I am very concerned. Could someone please advise if this is a normal timeframe.
FYI - My dad is on mandatory work leave.
i just went for my second sleep study to be hooked up to the cpap. the first one said i quit breathing and was breathing very shallow. once i get my new machine how long will it take to be back to 100%. i could tell the morning after that i did feel a little better and did not have a headaache.

My wife uses a cpap machine with moisture every night. She has had two bouts with pneumonia this winter which she never had before using the cpap machine. Questions: Can breathing in excess moist air into the lungs by means of the cpap machine overload the lungs with moisture and cause problems?

since using cpap machine started swelling in feet,ankles,hands and stomach. stopped using machine for 4 days swelling went away. started using again for 3 days swelling came back.
Thank you for your reply. I live in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and the wait is very lengthy to see a specialist. I have been waiting since June to see an internal medicine specialist with whom I had an appointment scheduled for next week, however, I recently discovered that my family doctor had referred me to a cardiologist (in error, I presume) and so my appointment was canceled and I have to start the waiting game all over again. The cyst is 2.3 x 1.6 cm. Is that considered large or small?
I noticed I had gained over 6 pounds since starting CPAP. After just one night without the CPAP I dropped 3 pounds, which I believe is all fluids.
My question is this: Could CPAP use cause your kidneys not to filter out fluids from your blood? When using CPAP I do not get up during the night to urinate. After one night without using CPAP I did get up to go to the bathroom, my weight dropped by 3 pounds and the pain is greatly reduced.
I have been using a CPAP machine for almost 3 months. From the night I used it I did not wake to go to the bathroom during the night. Although this was nice, I developed a problem immediately (from the first night) with swelling in my legs (calves, ankles, feet) and in my hands. I did NOT mention it to the sleep doctor because It was a month until my follow-up appointment and I never saw it listed as a side effect of CPAP therapy in materials I read.
I had to discontinue using my cpap, due to chronic lung infections. Changing the tubing, keeping it spotless, did not help prevent infection for me. Stopping the cpap treatment, is the only thing that prevented the chronic lung infections...and I always used the humitifer, which never helped prevent any infection... I regret ever having the sleep study and I regret what all the money and time it cost me, and the suffering of 3 years of lung infections...I am so done using the cpap treatment!
