My friend's company replaces his CPAP supplies whenever he asks. They give you instructions on how to keep it clean. Obviously nobody wants to do it, but there are consequences. Otherwise they would let you do it the easy way. Now you have unexplained lung nodules, so you will have to get a biopsy to find out what is going on. Nobody here can help you.

Maintain/clean dehumidifiers and air conditioners regularly. Air filters of the ac trap allergens, like molds, dust and pollen. When the filters do not work properly, allergens may be released into the air, causing typical allergy symptoms, such as watery eyes, runny nose, and wheezing. Wash shower curtains, bathroom tiles, and grout regularly and use a dehumidifier in your house. Also remove drapes, feather pillows, upholstered furniture, non-washable comforters and soft toys.

I have used a cpap for 10 months. My most prevalent problem is that the exterior of my nose tickles as though a feather is being brushed against it. I use a full face mask most of the time. I have tried applying Vaseline and various other moisturizers to no avail. The only thing that has seemed to help to a limited degree is "AquaPhor" daubed on my nose, not rubbed on.

The allergens can be from the CPAP machine. The filters and the tubing needs to cleaned regularly, it could harbor dust mites and sometimes fungal spores. Have this checked out. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Go back to whoever you get your cpap supplies from and ask about a full face mask. The chin strap did not work for me....... I had to get the mask that covers both nose and mouth. Hope that helps!

I have these quick onset headaches that I have found to be triggered by 2 things. One is running and the other is using my CPAP machine to treat my sleep apnea. I see the nose as a connection. If I stay away from both I am fine, but I would love to treat my sleep ap. The headache, which can be different in severity, starts with pain in the sinus area between the nose and eye. The pain seams focused and can at times throb to what seems like the beat of my heart.

Hi not sure if anyone will know this but worth a try, i have smoked for 41 years mostly roll ups with no filters or anything, but about 3 plus years ago i started putting filters in and after a few months started coughing up green phlegm i asked the doctor he just said getting older and smoking, Some days it seems worse than others its really strange, i don't smoke load about 15 a day but there dead thin and i only smoke half at a time.

We want him to suceed at school (wich he is) but if he keeps stealing it won't make much difference to the outcome of his life. Does anyone have any advice, some real practicle ways to deal with this? And do I need to take him back to child mental health services.

i just went for my second sleep study to be hooked up to the cpap. the first one said i quit breathing and was breathing very shallow. once i get my new machine how long will it take to be back to 100%. i could tell the morning after that i did feel a little better and did not have a headaache.

I know that they are going to put me on a cpap machine. I know I would do okay with the mask that is just the two little prongs that go in your nose. However in the past when I have had surgery I have gone crazy when they have put the mask over my mouth and nose. I have always had very bad allergies and can not stand to have anything touching my nose and mouth. So I was wondering how do they determine what is the best mask for you to have?

Shhhhhhh - your brain and body are listening. Give yourself some positive self talk, such as... I can do ANYTHING for just 30 days. Sleeping in my own home and bed will be nothing like in that lab. I'm going to take advantage of this change to get 30 days of real quality sleep. I'm glad that CPAP increases my likelihood of a good surgical outcome and recovery. I'm glad the next 30 days I will be at reduced risk of heart attack and stroke.

Hi, there are acoustic filters with which you can reset the filters to your requirement. The filters are segregated according to need, like musicplugs, workplugs and bike plugs; so that you can pick and choose as per the purpose it is used for. So, ask for the acoustic filter range and chose the one most appropriate for you. Regards.

People use coffee filters to get the tylenol out of drugs byt straining it after diluting it with water...either to avoid excess tylenol intake or to shoot up....dont know what the case is but i do know that is one use for coffee filters as my friend would get otc codiene and flilter the tyleonol out...aspiring i dont get? and this could not even be close to the truth of what is going on...

since using cpap machine started swelling in feet,ankles,hands and stomach. stopped using machine for 4 days swelling went away. started using again for 3 days swelling came back.

ve lived my life in a state of exhaustion, until use of my cpap machine, and that has often caused very bad seizures. Without my cpap machine, I don't think I'd be here making this post.

I noticed I had gained over 6 pounds since starting CPAP. After just one night without the CPAP I dropped 3 pounds, which I believe is all fluids. My question is this: Could CPAP use cause your kidneys not to filter out fluids from your blood? When using CPAP I do not get up during the night to urinate. After one night without using CPAP I did get up to go to the bathroom, my weight dropped by 3 pounds and the pain is greatly reduced.
