514349 tn?1272801633 I have other sleep problems, but I have not yet had to go to a CPAP. I understand if I wish to go to a CPAP my doctor requires I do another overnight in hospital (or other sleep study center) CPAP test to determine the best "settings" for me. So far I am CPAP free.

1831849 tn?1383228392 8 hours of bike riding around Vancouver BC. It's a spectacular city! Here are a few pics of both legs of our Canadian journey. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4280654538294.2182022.1344234584&type=3&l=a29b033b90 http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4300009902166.2182436.
Avatar f tn Also, I am having a machine delivered and set up by a tech in 2 days. Which machine is easiest to handle. I have heard horror stories about CPAP. The main problem was the fact that the air is blowing back at your nose when trying to exhale. Can't this be adjusted. Help me to know what to expect and which machine is best.
967168 tn?1477584489 ll leave the technicalities to someone else, but in general untreated apnea is not good for the heart, or any other part of your body. Whoever provided your cpap equipment should see you through whatever it takes to be successful if you keep going back to them. There are web sites dedicated to helping others with adjusting to cpap. Just sounds like your heart doesn't need the stress of sleep apnea, whether it is causing the problems or not.

1168718 tn?1464983535 Well, we are off to Vancouver UBC tomorrow, and hoping that we will get some much needed answers. As far as the DMD"S go, we are thinking of asking for the Copaxone. I'm wondering if depression gets worse with on a DMD, someone told me that it can ..... I will keep you posted, wish me luck ...
Avatar n tn You need to see a cardiac electrophysiologist to help you find out if you have a heart problem.
Avatar m tn ) I no longer have the blemishes or marks on my face and am still getting the benefits of the CPAP equipment. What other solution is there other than throwing the dang thing at the wall and saying to heck with it ... and believe me I have been tempted but I like the air and all it's benefits so I am inclined to do it this way. :) Hope this helps. BTW ... I have an under the nose cushion and also a partial face one ...
Avatar f tn ve found that using a fully data capable CPAP, one that allows ME to access my therapy data each morning encourages me to continue w/CPAP therapy even when I am having difficulties as the data helps to point out what the difficulties are - most often just too high a leak rate. I've used and been happiest w/the Resmed S8 Elite, then the Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage and then the Resmed S8 VPAP Auto when I needed to be switched to a bi-level PAP due to my COPD.
Avatar f tn I had this discussion with a fellow Chiarian and after some calling around, she managed to find a clinic that did one in Vancouver (BC). Though you may have more success back East with this, it may come down to having to go privately and paying for it.
511091 tn?1211149660 t want me to desaturate during the procedure. I thought I could either just wear my CPAP mask or have oxygen. Is this a normal procedure, to be intubated for a colonoscopy when a person has sleep apnea?
