Avatar n tn However, the allergens in milk from goats and sheep are very similar to those in cowsmilk. This means that someone with a cowsmilk allergy might react to these other types of milk as well, so goat’s and sheep milk aren’t suitable alternatives for people who are sensitive to cows’ milk.

Avatar f tn Cows milk doesn't have near the nutrition baby needs and actually introducing cows milk that early can not only lead to malnutrition but kidney failure as well. Formula is complete nutrition and needed for baby until a year old.
Avatar f tn My son has had eczema since he was a couple of months old but we didnt see any signs of allergy until i stopped breastfeeding him and he had breathing problems , when we had him tested we found he had allergies from many foods like garlic, lemons, oranges, grapes, sunflower seeds and oil, olives and olive oil, peaches, apples, lobster, cheeses , and cows milk but yoghurt is ok and chocolate so some things with cows milk were fine, we could give him some of these foods in moderation and not more
Avatar f tn You can still bf if baby has an intolerance by avoiding dairy in your diet. Your milk is very different from cows milk. The baby would exhibit reflux, rashes, or bloody stool if it has an allergy or intolerance.
368461 tn?1291515587 Who else is feeding their little one whole milk / cows milk? I started mixing Hayden's formula with milk and sometimes giving her straight cows milk, but I just read on babycenter.com to wait until they are 1. I started at about 11 months gradually adding it in. She will be one in 10 days.

1176038 tn?1263687032 I think it could very well be a milk allergy - I had a milk allergy as a child and had the same symptoms, as well as vomiting and abdominal pain. i would contact her pediatrician again and ask him for advice on trying a milk-free diet to see if it helps her symptoms.

If I was unable to breastfeed I woulkd give my little one goats milk fo rsure which is most like breast milk then any other milk on th emarket. Hope this helps ya!
10084709 tn?1407712389 I intend on solely breastfeeding my newborn and never giving him cows milk but I was wondering have any moms given their baby almond milk once they're around 7-8 months? Or at any point?
Avatar n tn Almost everyone is allergic to cow's milk. That's why mammals breast feed. When you don't or can't breast feed, one thing missing is the immune system building colostrum found in early breast milk. No formula is healthy -- they are just the best we can do sometimes.
Avatar f tn For a nine year old, this is complicated. Goat's milk is milk, and though it's easier on the human body than cow's milk, it's still milk, so the question is why milk is being discontinued. A lactose intolerant person might very well still be lactose intolerant to goat's milk, for example, but someone who has digestive problems with cow's milk might not with goat's milk. There's also a taste issue.
Avatar f tn Formula is fine. Also if you warm up the cows milk she might take it then. My youngest didnt like cows milk either so I tried it warm and she drank it.
10203682 tn?1418693754 t done any research only my common knowledge of regular milk is that the cows are pumped with hormones to force them to produce milk even when they are not feeding their calfs even long after their calf is grown and those same hormones work the same with women who consume the milk or dairy product from said cows) could this be why my breast milk hasn't come yet because I'm not adding any hormones like that to my body?
332074 tn?1229560525 I had allergy testing a couple of weeks ago and the test determined I am allergic to beef, cows milk, and nuts. Since I have taken these items out of my diet I have had a major drop in my weight. My question is, is this normal, and will my weight level out after awhile?
1666434 tn?1325262350 I have heard that a person's system changes every 5 years, so, it is very possible to develop new allergies or sensitivities almost at any time, especially if your immune system is not up to par. I did not know that constipation was a sign of allergy to milk, that is good to know Chit Chat. I have never tried any other milk other than the "orginal cows milk" So, rice milk is good? I could not drink soy milk, I have a horrible allergy to soy, makes me sick as a dog.
Avatar f tn I weaned at 1. You can give your baby cows milk now it should be vitamin D milk along with 3 meals a day. My son was used to having a bottle at daycare so we just started substatuting breast milk for cows milk slowly and he did fine. It was harder to wean him at night but once I started it didn't take long. Just give baby a small amount of cows milk to make sure their tummy can Handel it.
Avatar f tn I have scrambled eggs and tin tuna once week which i know you can have no more than 3 a week but apparently your not aloud scrambled egg or cows milk which is what i make scrambled egg with ???
Avatar f tn Lots of water, all day. And calcium rich foods, not just cows milk. The more frequent you breastfeed, the more it will come in.
Avatar n tn It has 50% more calcium then cows milk. Its more expensive but.... the kind that I drink is Silk Light Vanilla Almond Milk.
Avatar n tn At 2 year old it may be good to lessen the cows milk, milk can make stools paler, so give him more finger foods, he can drink juice now , and the water is good ..
377493 tn?1356502149 It just boggles my mind that they aren't testing. And scares me to death. I have taken Ryder off of cows milk for now. It probably isn't much of a threat where we are...we produce almost all of our own milk locally..lot's of farming and dairy here, plus we are a landlocked province, so again not as big a worry as for some of you, but still. I am also not serving or eating seafood for now. Not until I am 100% convinced everything is safe..and that includes testing.
