My ENT says everything looks good and I should start talking. But nothing but a whisper is coming. I am still coughing occasionally, but nothing like it was. My mouth is real dry and my lips are cracked. I have been putting vasoline on my lips and drinking lots of fluid...mostly water. But some iced tea, hot tea and ginger ale. No coffee and no alcohol. Not sure what else to do to start talking normal again. Any suggestions or ideas would be very much appreciated!!
I cough when when i speak a few words. This happened 5 or 6 time inthe last 15 to 20 years. In the first 2 times i used to talk alot in my job. But not so in the last few times. At rest or in sleep there is no cough. Each time the problem can last for weeks. ( i dont think it respiratory problem as I can run a mile in 6 minutes.)
It does not affect my life style. I can still manage to talk with little trouble if I suck a mentholated sweet or lozenges.
A couple weeks ago I started having difficulty talking without seeming to run out of air and having to cough. It's been persistant and not going away. I can't even get through a sentence without coughing !
I'm generally VERY healthy and a health nut. Also a lact-ovo-pesco-vegetarian.
I take high quality supplements daily and normally NEVER get sick. I get plenty of excercise and don't seem to have a problem breathing otherwise. Only when I'm talking.
I am constantly coughing. People know when I am around just by hearing my cough. I do it so often, I have become used to it and carry on as if it is normal but I know that it isn't. I am fine for a while and suddenly I have to cough. Sometimes the cough turns into a fit and makes me feel like throwing up. Sometimes my eyes water, throat itches and it simply wears me out.
I am convinced that I am suffering from allergies but my doctor wants to be sure that my lungs are ok.
im a 15 year old boy student and noticed that people have started coughing around my presence about 4 months ago where it all started when i was in my classroom and two girls were coughing in front of me and ever since then the coughing gets worse and worse week by week. i never stop thinking about it and i have tried talking to my father about this but he says "people are coughing because they are sick" and i know this is not why.
My daughter was 3 months old when she has surgery on her pyloric muscle. It seemed to go great and was no complications. She is now 5 and has been coughing pretty hard. I just noticed her whole stomache area and it apears swollen from under her breats to right above her privates. I am wondering if the surgery wasn't done properly could it have messed up and be leaking fluid into her abdemon area. It almost looks as if she is pregnant and feels swollen for full of fluid.
Since we are talking about coughing. I had a few questions of my own. I have had issues coughing for the past 4-5 years. I caught constantly. Sometimes it makes my headache worse but sometimes I don't have a headache so it doesn't bother me. I do have sinus disease as per my MRI. So that explains the post nasal drip. I always have problems coughing whenever I am near or around water. For example I cough so much in the shower that sometimes it will make me throw up or gag.
I have been dealing with this issue for years and have been told that nothing is wrong. I can not laugh anymore without coughing violently. I do have a history of allergies and no history of asthma. It hurts me and seems to only be getting worse. I was told that it may be a sign of asthma, but why now? When I start the coughing episodes, I notice that I have some sputum, but I don't let it out. What could be causing this?
This might be related to the way in which you use your voice when you're on the phone. You might try a few sessions of voice therapy. A good voice therapist will be able to discover what you're doing with your voice when you're talking on the phone. He/she will be able to retrain you to speak more normally when on the phone. You may be straining your voice without realizing it.
ve coughing out phlegm non stop for the past two month. Its not bloody, but thick and green sometimes white and foam like. My chest also feels tight everytime i cough. I use the sprays and all but this problem is permanently there.
I also got coughing so hard I coughed up/vommited mucous 3 times and it was very thick. When I start coughing it's hard to stop and I feel like i can't breath. Everytime that would happen during the day if I tried to nap it would always be when the cat was lying near and during the day when the problem would arise I would take Dayquil and my nostril opens and the coughing would cease. If I mowed grass I was totally out of breath and would have to get under a fan and drink water and the deep gasping of breath would cease in a few moments...and I would go back out to mow some more. There was no coughing involved with the mowing incidents.
But we receive notes and oral comments from two teachers that he talks in class and in the hallway after being warned. What can we do at home to encourage him to be quiet and obey when told to be quiet. He's in a Magnet program and you must keep a B average in all subject areas including conduct. I don't feel the teacher is doing any kind of class management for good behavior, she sees him acting the opposite and sends a note home. Please help !!!!

Can a person suffering Aspestosis possibly transfer it to another person via coughing up aspestos or via sharing drinking vessels. I believe it is not possible but a friend says it is.
Yeah you probably did it from the coughing. If youre concerned though call your dr for sure or just talk to your dr when you go in.
im suffering from back pain now for 3 weeks already. when i cough my upper back is aching and also when i take a deep breath. i don't cough really hard, i only cough when i take deep breath and that also my upper back ache. does my back pain is related with the coughing? do i need to go to my doctor already? my back pain is getting worst especially when i try to lift heavy things. does this mean there's something wrong with my lungs? do i need to have an x-ray?
