Common Questions and Answers about Coughing when jogging

coughing

Avatar f tn I got very sore ankles when I started jogging. It felt like I had glass in the joint. I ended up having to get the best running shoes I could afford from a specialist shop that videoed my running style etc. I have since then been running for nearly a year now with few problems. I still get some pains if I run on uneven ground but if I stick to paved areas, no problems. Good luck.
Avatar n tn I could probably walk for hours if I made myself. But when it comes to the more aerobic jogging, I cannot go more than 5 minutes or so without feeling like I can't breathe. After just a minute or so of jogging, I start to feel light-headed and dizzy, like the world is spinning. I take deep gasps for air and my chest feels tight. By the end of my mere half-mile jog, my face is bright red and I feel almost like I'm breathing through a straw.
Avatar f tn Keep at it! I am a runner also, when I found out I asked my doctor if it's safe to continue, he said if you have been doing it before it's perfectly fine to keep running. It will also help lower your risk for gestational diabetes and preeclampsia.
7677085 tn?1395374075 Just got clearance from my midwife to start jogging and I'm so excited! I took it way too easy with my last pregnancy and ended up gaining fifty or sixty pounds! This time I'm determined to keep my weight gain low since I'm overweight to begin with. I haven't jogged regularly for about five years and would appreciate recommendations about stretching, belly support, etc. My midwife just told me to start slow and ease into it (jog one minute, walk three minutes sort of thing).
Avatar m tn For some reason when we start jogging my legs feel like they are locking up. My ankles start restricting movement and afterwards they hurt along with a pain in the front of my lower leg, almost in the bone. I recently toured a college and did a lot of walking and was absolutely fine but I still have trouble jogging or running in gym class, and the pain lasts 10 minutes afterwards.
Avatar f tn I've been jogging for a while and I don't feel like I am getting anywhere. I try to go at least once a day and do at least a mile. I have a mile time of about 11-12 minutes and I need help improving it. Any tips and suggestions are greatly needed.
Avatar f tn I had an ablation for svt last June. When I had my longest episode I was at work and it really scared me. I started suffering extreme anxiety and panic attacks afterwards and I got the ablation. I had an episode a couple months after it was a big thump that took my breath away and my heart started racing and cut off after less then 10 seconds. I haven't had a problem since but I still have extreme anxiety.
Avatar f tn Hello. I've quit smoking for 3 weeks now after 32 years of smoking. I am using the patch and my doctor put me on zyban when I saw her sept 5 because I couldn't stop crying. The crying has gotten better I feel terrible. I think I'm obsessed with my breathing to the point where I feel it all the time. My chest feels tight. I feel myself inhaling all the time. I've been to the emergency room twice now in two weeks. Chest films taken. They put me on high does prednisone for.
Avatar m tn I have never been short of breath in my life, however since I stopped smoking, I find myself out of breath, at strange times, even when sitting at rest. Apart from that, I feel completely fine. Is this just part of stopping smoking? It seems to be very difficult to find information on the side effects of stopping smoking! Thanks, Richard.
Avatar n tn Can jogging (40 min a day), biking (not mountain biking), lifting (6kg weight), push-ups or abs exercises cause retinal tears or RD? I am high myopic (-31) with lattice deg. and have PVD right now. I have very low blood pressure and also very fat because afraid of doing sports. I am 25. Thanks very much.
Avatar f tn From what I've heard you can add long as you were used to jogging before you were pregnant and you don't push yourself beyond what you were used to. I'd check with your doctor too just to be safe.

Avatar n tn The other day I was jogging for 10 minutes and I was checking my pulse while jogging. I noticed that the MOMENT I stopped my BP seemed to go up a little bit and my heart rate increased (maybe by about 20 or 30 bpm). My heart rate gradually began to slow and was noticeably slower after about 30 seconds. I also felt like I was getting an ectopic beat every other beat for about a minute and then every second beat, every third and so on.
492921 tn?1321289896 Oh yes, you get that too. My husband finds my urinating all over myself amusing!! It is so embarrassing though. And it doesn't just happen when I cough. It happens when I sneeze or even laugh!! It's insane...
432737 tn?1358549432 The weather stinks these days so when it warms up I will use it! I was very skeptical when Jeremy was a newborn I was afraid of him somehow flipping out of it even tho his baby seat came with the stroller! I'm a nervous nelly so....As for my weight when I started out ttc Jeremy I was 127 and jumped up to 206. I'm now 158 and my weight sometimes dips lower or goes up to 165. My body lost the weight it's going to natrually the rest is on me to diet and excercise.
Avatar f tn Anybody got any suggestions what exercising I can get into when I'm leaving the house at 7.30am and not returning til at least 6.30pm? Long commute with 1hr lunch, in Wales, where it's forever raining!
Avatar f tn I was told it was fine for me to exercise, so I went to the gym today and spent thirty minutes on the treadmill...walking on a light incline, with about 40% of the time spent jogging. While I was jogging, my heart rate rose to 200bpm. I felt pretty normal...well, normal for me exercising, which means I felt like ****, but it wasn't anything different. I left the gym and went to work (new job), where I stand for 7-8 hours straight.
Avatar f tn Hey everyone! I know I definitely want a jogging stroller, but am wondering if I could use it also as a regular stroller instead of buying both??
Avatar f tn I also got coughing so hard I coughed up/vommited mucous 3 times and it was very thick. When I start coughing it's hard to stop and I feel like i can't breath. This morning I thought it might have gone away and I feel a little better but I still can't take a full deep breath without coughing, I've looked up symptoms and think it might possibly be bronchitis?
5891248 tn?1406410864 I am gonna be buying a separate jogging stroller in addition to my travel system for when I go out for workout walks/jogs. They are designed to be able to handle terrain better without tipping etc.
Avatar m tn I would suggest you start with simple walking and slowly when you are comfortable with walking increase your pace to jogging over a period of time. To be on the safe side consult your physician once and also get your blood pressure checked. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar n tn Generally, your health going into the surgery helps determine if you will have any complications after. Typically though, coughing when talking (and not when silent) is a vocal cord issue. Actually, something to talk to your doctor about as well is Gerd which can cause this phenomenon. When is the last time you have talked to a doctor about this?
1618305 tn?1298758246 I don't exercise often but when i do my skin starts to feel very very itchy all over my body. This happens everytime i exercise about 30 min. into jogging or running, is this normal? and what is causing this?
