coughing up hard white chunks

When I do cough in the MORNING (on purpose), I cough up quite thick chunks of phlegm that are bright yellow, sometimes a greenish color (I cough about 10 chunks up each morning), and then as the day goes on, when I cough up phlegm, it is white and/or clear, less chunky, but still quite thick. I am worried about •Bronchiectasis because 1. It's week #5 and although the cough has gotten MUCH better, I still have phlegm/chest congestion daily and 2.

Can you mucus plug come out as just white chunks? im 36+4 as well, and have 24 days left?

A friend of mine (who refuses to go to a doctor, no matter how much I nag them) is worried about their symptoms of constant runny nose, wheezing in throat but not in chest, breathlessness, and coughing up white phlegm. My friend IS a smoker, and is going through a lot of stress currently.

A week ago I was sick for the whole week with the flu. I had all the normal flu symptoms and was given notuss to try and control the violent cough I had. I had fever, headache, chills, aches, and would wake up during the night in coughing fits. I haven't had a fever in over a week and a half but I still have the hacking violent cough. I thought nothing of it until last night when I had a coughing fit and coughed up what appeared (and tasted like) blood.

on a morning when i wake up i always need to cough and clear my throat since about a year ago. but now it has extended to needing to do it throughout the day. sometime the mucus that comes up is small hard sticky lumps that nearly make me be sick as they get stuck in my throat. or some times theres a lot of yellow and white flem. its never clear. I'm wondering wat the cause of this is as i can constantly feel it there at back of my throat like a coating.

I'm 20 weeks and I just threw up and at the same time cough really hard. I so scared now that I probably think i hurt him...you know when you start coughing so hard that than you feel throwing up. It hurt my stomach so much like in the bottom. Has anyone ever happen to them. Or someone you know.

I have been waking up for the past few mornings and hacking up these chunks of mucus. I would like to know what it is before I go t see my doctor, incase its nothing and I go for no reason.

I did not know where to post this sorry in advance. But I have been battling this cough and congestion for 2 months now i can't stand it lol. But my problem is i am constantly coughing, coughing up green/ brown chunks of mucus, Congestion i 'am sneezing and blowing out green/brown stuff most of the time just congested. Any idea of what its possibly wong?? I have tried everything from mucinex,Thera-flu, allergy meds, tylenol, amoxicillan. everything i can't kick this bad boy.

Since about the second or third week post quitting I started coughing up this weird white/gray phlegm that has a terrible, bitter acrid taste that coats my mouth and back of my throat almost like an oil. Similar to bronchitis sputum but not green or yellow. There's no tar in it, no black bits, and it's always a small amount but it's once a day, every day. Usually after I eat. I hate it, it's disgusting and I'm not sure why it's still coming up! Anyone else?

I have had these white, stinky, bad breath chunks come up at random times for several years now, maybe started in my teens. I mean when I first had a baby my plug was pink but I read some people have cloudy white discharge its really hard to know.

Hey, I'm not a doctor but I am a nurse. The red chunks is blood and the white chunks is yeast. Are you properly inserting the nozzle in your vagina when you douche? If not, that could cause bleeding. Make a visit to your OBGYN and let him/her know about this issue so they can prescribe the proper medication. Or to cure your yeast infection yourself, buy Monistat (yeast cream), drink plenty of water, and restrict your sugar intake.

I have always coughed up brown flecks in my phlegm. But now, I have been coughing up dark grey after having some chronically infected teeth pulled. Could this be a result of the local anesthetic injections, or a worsening of the copd? I can only get rid of bronchitis for about a month before it comes back every time. Antibiotics (doxicycline) seem to have the inside of my mouth raw, with white patches on my tongue and a few white blisters in mouth, also. Now I'm on Penicillin for the teeth.

For about a year I have had these small white chunks of something forming at the anterior portion of my throat right around the level of the thyroid cartilage. At times they break loose and I can spit them off. Other times I can feel them back there and have to cough or manipulate my mouth in order to break them loose. They smell foul and give a bad taste and I believe it is a source of my occasional halitosis. They are soft and moist but crumble with light pressure.

I really need help. Back in February my anus started to itch and I noticed small white lumps in my stool. Now I am noticing more red chunks and some yellow ones also. I've done a fecal occult blood test which was negative as well as two stool parasite tests which were also negative. I had a colonoscopy which showed nothing significant , but during the prep a ton of those red chunks came out & my anus is still itching. Any insight??

I have been getting over a cold for the last couple of weeks but it is in my lungs now. During the night, my throat gets so dry and backed up that I will wake up not being able to breath and constantly coughing/gagging. I am 31 weeks and I'm afraid it's hurting the baby coughing so bad. So I am a 33 year old male, in the past I was social smoker and drinker. I occasionally when I swallow (a "dry" swallow with saliva, never with food) I have a click or a pop sound I can hear it and I can feel it on the outside of my neck, just to the right and just above my Adams apple.
