Later that night I had a dull pain in the center of my chest, which got progressively worse for the next few weeks. The pain increases when I take a full breath or exhale fully, and it increases when I exercise. Also when I run it feels like my lungs are unable to inhale fully. The doctors checked out my heart and lungs and said they looked fine, one doctor told me it was costochondritis, and another told me it was heartburn.
Now i still hurt when I exhale but it not only hurts at the middle of my chest it feels like someone is stapping me in the ribs. Any ideas on what this could be? I had a cold over 2 weeks ago, but have been fine for over a week. It also hurts to cough or sneeze.
I have a cough Its difficult to exhale without coughing talking is very difficult. Severe Backach between shoulder blades. Experiencing muscles spasms in my upper back and stomach from coughing often happens when Im not coughing, sitting walking, standing. When my breathing is ok I don't have the back pain. The headachs have subsided, "Thank god"

unless really necessary. Last night I started getting back pain on my left side, I figured it was just the way i was laying. As the night went on it did not go away. This morning its stilll here, It does not go away but its like a sharp pain more when i inhale than exhale?????? any ideas, should i go to doctors or let it ride out?
d swallowed it and that it would just work its way through my digestive system, but upon lying down and bending over, I start coughing and when I inhale or exhale in either of these positions, my throat make a whistling noise. So now I think I aspirated it. Do you believe that is correct? Is there any way for me to cough it up? I can't afford to go to the doctor. Thank you.

About 4 weeks ago I began to have a dry, unproductive cough that resulted in a dry/sore throat, as well as a hoarse voice. About 3 days into it, the cough became VERY productive. After about 2 full weeks, the coughing become MUCH LESS FREQUENT, but still there. In fact, I STILL have a cough (not NEAR as bad as before....but I still do have to cough).
This a new one for me.. I'm 23 and do suffer from health anxiety, and it was much better lately until now, that I really fear, I have lung fibrosis coming up.
I've been obsessing a bit about my breath. I breath faster than normal, think it might be chronic hyperventilation. My nail beds are alway blue-purple, not a nice pink color. And I've been coughing, especially after a meal, for about 6 months.

They diagnosed it as reactive airways disease. Ever since that diagnosis, i been having a cough off and on for 3 months at a time. I been smoking for 11 years now. The er at the time prescribed me ventolin hfa. I went to my regular dr a week later and they ordered me a pulmonary function test. I got the results and it says that there is nothing wrong with my lungs. But i still continue to get the cough off and on every 3-4 months.
I noticed that when I go to bed at night that when I exhale, I still hear air coming out after I'm finished exhaling, if that makes any sense. Someone said, its air coming out of my tonsils, but it feels like it is coming out from the back of my throat. I have been to see a ENT and he didn't know what it was, he gave me an inhaler, but it didn't do anything. Does anyone know what could be causing this, it feels really strange !!!!!!
I took him to see a doctor after one night he was coughing too hard and long that he almost ran out of breath. The doctor gave him Albuterol to open up his air passage. He took the medication every night before bed for about a week, until he came to me one night very worried about his heart beating fast (Albuterol side effects). I stopped the medication since then.

Hello, Im 43....I was very sick in Dec, bad chest cold coughing up lots of green flim. This went on for 6 week...no i didnt go to Doctor untill recently. Anyways i started noticing whistle sounds and a bubbling type sound when i would exhale only. Now Im finding it more and more harder to exhale when i lay down at night???? Do you think i might of damaged myself by not getting to a Doctor.
I have late onset asthma dx'd at age 57 now 62. I also developed severe sinusitis with copius amounts of mucus around the same time frame. I am 39 years old and was a light smoker most of the time, chain smoker on weekends, and smoked weed every second night... Being a closet smoker, I only smoked at night (roughly 3 smokes per night during the week and wide open on the weekends).
I quit smoking all smoke products (Cigs/Weed) over 2 months ago and am still experiencing lung issues today. I have a pretty steady cough with phlegm only discharging in the mornings.
Hey, im just wondering if anyone knows what is wrong with me right now as i have a cough that has lasted about 5 months, my cough just seems to appear randomly and sometimes ill have a bit of a hard time breathing, and if i exhale you can hear a bit of a weezing noise, when my cough gets bad i cough up this yellow-ish phlem and sometimes if its bad i cough till i puke a bit.
