Barbara533 Have you tried an antihistamine? rushtyyyyy green and yellow flem should not be coming up from allergy unless it is stomach acid. Usually allergy is clear mucus. I'm not a doctor but I wonder if it is a bacteria infection. Sorry I don't know the correct answer. Maybe the doctors are correct too. I just personally haven't heard of colored mucus from allergy. Allergy can cause mucus that can lead to bacteria infection too. See another doctor.

I have a continuing buildup of thick heavy phlegm which I have extreme difficulty coughing up even using Mucinex. It goes on all day and all night. It sure sounds like a sinus infection. Is the mucus coming out colored or sticky in any way? Does it drip down the back of your throat and you can kind of taste it? I'd say because of the tooth pain too it's a sinus infection. You could try saline to help rinse out your nasal passages or go to your doctor. They might give you a Z-pack or some other antibiotic if they suspect bacterial infection.

You don't necessarily have to "loose" your plug to dialate. The name is deceiving. It's not always one "plug" of stuff, it's mucus buildup. When you dialate it can simply break apart, but still be there. That's why some women don't "loose" it prior to labor/birth.
