coughing

Avatar f tn Fir the past three nights I haven't had a full sleep, I feel my baby moving all night long which is keeping me awake. Any ideas on how to sleep??
Avatar n tn this happened on a night 6 months ago after i drank alot of alcohol and was trying to repay my sleep debt the day after. since then, these twitches have been keeping me awake. i went to see a doctor and she said that it's most likely anxiety due, something i probably inherited from my mother.
Avatar m tn t have a runny nose or cough while awake. It could take some time for the drainage to pool and cause the coughing. Taking out the tonsils won't help with this either. ( I am a chronic allergy sufferer and this is what my doctor told me as a child). Unfortunately, doctors seem reluctant to test and diagnose allergies in young children. My poor son had to wait until he was 12 before I could give him some real help even though he suffered from age 2 and up.
Avatar f tn I have some sort of tinnitus in my left ear and for the last few nights the noise has been keeping me awake. It's extremely frustrating. Usually I can get into a position that stops the noise and I can sleep peacefully. But it's kept me tossing and turning for the last few nights and I'm really begging for a good night's sleep. I think my tinnitus may be linked to my pulse, as the noise pulsates in time with my pulse.

1749417 tn?1331996992 So, I asked him what was making my legs move at night so much that not only is it keeping the hubby awake but the sheets on the bed have all pilled due to the movement and I am going broke buying sheets! They have little balls of fabric all over the area above and below my feet and no one would want to sleep on them...they feel awful!
4550832 tn?1356805269 I'm new around here. In fact, just joined the Med Help today. Got my first computer and internet this year for Christmas. If it makes you feel any better, I don't sleep worth a danged either. If it isn't work keeping me awake, it is me thinking about work keeping me awake. I bet its been 25 years since I slept more than 3 hours in a night. Funny thing is, whenever I wake up I have something that I need to do. I don't get it, but I don't think about it either.
Avatar f tn My due date is coming up fast, and I'm getting really stressed about it... I am tired... I just cannot sleep for the life of me... I can't even settle my mind enough to meditate... Anybody else going through this?

2085202 tn?1373199740 Hello all...this is very strange. I'm feeling a heaviness on my chest or in my lungs. It feels like I can't get a full breath and am swallowing gunk. My throat feels a little tight. I feel as if i'm going to stop breathing in my sleep. Everytime i'm dozing off I jolt awake and get this weird sensation in my legs and body. I also get this weird head rush or light headedness when I jump awake like that.I feel a little tiny bit weak all over.
Avatar f tn Blah....lol. 2:00 am and wide eyed and bushy tailed. Kinda darned if you do, darned if you don't. NyQuil and other nighttime cough aids have always affected me backwards...makes me bounce off walls...and so does the Mucinex, but I have to take it just to get this stuff loosened up in my chest, head and sinuses. If I don't, I'm awake coughing anyway...so I guess if I have to be awake coughing, it's gonna be a productive cough. I hope to see a nap in my future. :) lol.
Avatar f tn My body temperature feels abit hot when i sleep, and when im awake it probably decreases abit. Coughing is also another symptom. I feel soooo sleepy most of the time, also very exhausted when i move. To fling a luggage, jump round or do a long sprint used to be a piece of cake, now im too tired to even drag a blanket across the room. I get small head aches when i move my head and small eye aches when i move my eyes to a corner.
5627628 tn?1400006216 I had a cough a few days ago. It wasn't super super bad but bad enough to keep me awake and disturb my hubby and two yr old's sleep. I ended up taking benedryl after the first night i took cough syrup that didn't help at all. The benedryl worked better than the cough syrup and put me to sleep. The list I got from the dr had more than just robitussin on it. Mine said Tylenol plus and vicks 44 plus a few others I can't think of now.
Avatar m tn My friend is having a cold for a month, keeping coughing. How can I stop him from infecting me?

645331 tn?1224006265 This cough has kept me awake, kept my husband awake, and affected my abilities to do my job efficiently. I do not have insurance, so a doctor visit is out of the question. I had "diagnosed" myself with what I thought was bronchitis. After much research I learned that bronchitis isn't always affected by antibiotics.
Avatar f tn haha same! I'm sitting here dog tired drinking koolaid and eating saltines, but I just can't sleep.
Avatar n tn He suddenly developed a persistent hacking cough having 18-24 episodes day and night. Kept everyone awake. Cough improved immensely with antibiotic. reduced to maybe 4-5 episodes per day on the first round of general antibiotics, but went came back 4 days after 1st round of pills ran out. Second round of respiratory-specific antibiotic worked even better maybe 1 or two coughing episodes every other day. Also improvement in playfulness...less grumpy.
Avatar f tn For the past two days, I have had lots of movement within my GI tract, but I am staying bloated and the coughing spasms (which are productive) have kept me awake at night since they are worse when I lay down. I am also experiencing random bouts of nausea which Phenergen does help (Zofran does nothing for me). Since I am no longer able to find Mylanta (have been told that they do not make it anymore), I am taking a generic version that has helped some.
306867 tn?1299249709 Hi Allaboutmary. I'm awake as well. I'm keeping watch over my 10 year old son. He's been quite sick with cold symptoms & spiking fevers for the past two days. Ugh! I was one of the people who posted, asking about lack of motivation, energy. I was using Tylenol #4 (Tylenol w/codiene) It's only been about 5 weeks clean for me, after about 13 years of daily use, so it's still early.
585414 tn?1288941302 Well the thing for me is keeping organized without getting ocd. A computer program like Quicken is good to keep track of bills. I'm very happy with my file cabinets (needed, some contain confidential information). Don't put things off. Such as wash the dishes right after dinner so they don't pile up. That used to be a problem. And on the other hand if something is frustrating come back to it.
Avatar f tn Angles wake me and lift me so i can breath. I awake to gasping for air and go into a coughing terribly. I have research these symtoms. I may have an infection in my lower respitory. I have tried everything. Natural medicine for it is all i can afford. it is really scary to wake up like this all the time. this has been going on since i have nto been about to get rid of a cold. A dry cough for a long time,as first. now has turned into flem. Is this curable?
Avatar f tn The egg retrieval. My insurance doesn't cover IVF and the doctor told me I can save $5000 if I don't go through general anesthesia.
