Avatar f tn I've been jogging for a while and I don't feel like I am getting anywhere. I try to go at least once a day and do at least a mile. I have a mile time of about 11-12 minutes and I need help improving it. Any tips and suggestions are greatly needed.

This time I'm determined to keep my weight gain low since I'm overweight to begin with. I haven't jogged regularly for about five years and would appreciate recommendations about stretching, belly support, etc. My midwife just told me to start slow and ease into it (jog one minute, walk three minutes sort of thing).
Avatar f tn From what I've heard you can add long as you were used to jogging before you were pregnant and you don't push yourself beyond what you were used to. I'd check with your doctor too just to be safe.

Avatar n tn I could probably walk for hours if I made myself. But when it comes to the more aerobic jogging, I cannot go more than 5 minutes or so without feeling like I can't breathe. After just a minute or so of jogging, I start to feel light-headed and dizzy, like the world is spinning. I take deep gasps for air and my chest feels tight. By the end of my mere half-mile jog, my face is bright red and I feel almost like I'm breathing through a straw.

The crying has gotten better I feel terrible. I think I'm obsessed with my breathing to the point where I feel it all the time. My chest feels tight. I feel myself inhaling all the time. Avatar m tn he prescibed me some pills for anxiety and also some medication for my acid reflex and coughing problem(just a decongestent) it been about 2 months and i feel great. My advice would be see a doctor, get some test and things done, and see whats going on...
Avatar f tn I had an ablation for svt last June. When I had my longest episode I was at work and it really scared me. I started suffering extreme anxiety and panic attacks afterwards and I got the ablation. I had an episode a couple months after it was a big thump that took my breath away and my heart started racing and cut off after less then 10 seconds. I haven't had a problem since but I still have extreme anxiety.

Avatar m tn In my gym class every day before we play a sport we walk around the gym a few times and then do a couple laps of jogging. I've had aboslutely no problem with the jogging until recently. For some reason when we start jogging my legs feel like they are locking up. My ankles start restricting movement and afterwards they hurt along with a pain in the front of my lower leg, almost in the bone.

Avatar f tn I know jogging/running is healthy for an adult. Thinking of purchasing a safe jogging stroller. My concern is that most my run is on sidewalks and that fumes of passing vehicles are unhealthy for the baby. Exhaust pipes seem to be more at the height of where the baby sits. I'm concern for the health of the baby's lungs short and long term. Is there any medical information available on this issue and what are your thoughts.

Avatar m tn I used to play basketball for 6 years and jogging for 7 monthes(for fun,recreation,not very fierce).I love jogging and i jog everyday for 40mins or more than that.Somehow recently i feel that tennis is less than jogging because tennis doesn't have vertical motions(jogging has too much vertical motions so that i am afraid of the shocking).The question is Do you think i shoud play tennis(everyday) or continue jogging?Which one do you think is more fierce?Or maybe i should give up both?
Avatar f tn I get really hot and red in the face after only a bit of jogging so I can usually only jog 1.5miles which is fine because I am not over weight. But a few days back I injured my foot and I can't jog so today I got on the exercise bike and did 20kms (dunno the miles) compared to 2kms that I do in running.

773138 tn?1329946949 As title states, I am approx. 4 stone overweight (obese) and have been out jogging last night and the night before. I do a lot of brisk walking throughout the week in the daytime and feel ready to pick the pace up a bit under the cover of darkness!! I am out for about 30 mins in total and ease the walking up to brisk then into bursts of jogging as long as I can manage, then back down to brisk walking.
