coughing in babies

s been almost three years since I had a newborn around, so what can I do about her coughing, I had DH stand in the bathroom in the steam with her...she seems really tired and exhausted today, a bit grumpier too...def not herself, she's not been eating as much today either, only four times in 13 hours, and I've only changed about 5 diapers....

my sister is a smoker for like 3 - 4 years maybe like 2 a day lately shes been coughing everyday 2-3 time a day and just this past 3 days shes been spiting blood in the morning what can this be we are very worried is smoking the cause of this

For us in the Philippines, the pertussis vaccine is part of the babies vaccination at 2 months old. Just avoid sick coughing people as much as possible.

Hi there I would go to gp blood in saliva could be due to chest infection,coughing too much thus bursting tiny vessels in throat(not serious) if you have severe gastric disorder it could be coming from gastric is the blood bright red? If so this is prob due to strain from coughing,is the blood brown in colour if so this is old blood and should be checked out ASAP are you on medications that could be making gums bleed thus leaving slight blood in your salvia.

I had my TT on Thursday and occassionally I get this cough but more like a tickle in my throat. Anyone experience this? Is this normal? I would think so, but just asking. If the baby is coughing though, whether its from the congestion or not definitly call the doctor and mention the coughing as well. Since babies do not have sinuses like adults then can get rsv which when caught early is easy to handle. If caught later the baby can end up in the hospital. My daughter had it just after she turned 1and we just had to use a nebulizer, but it happened to a friend of mines newborn and he ended up in the hospital for a few days.

Coughing till you CANT cough anymore and then a little bit more. Coughing till you almost vomit. Completely soaked in sweet after every coughing spell (like as if you jumped in the pool with your clothes on wet). Treatment Klasid for 10 days. It is normal for our body to experience some illness once in a while because our body is made that way. And you are right in saying that we should be grateful that it is not as debilitating as cancer. Take care and do keep us posted.

Could definitely be babies feet. Although of you try to press on babies feet they typically will respond in some manner. If you're concerned contact your doctor.
