coughing hard to breathe

I have always been told not to be afraid to cough. I have COPD and have to cough hard sometimes to get it up. During those times I can lose my breathe and get dizzy, but it's always best to get it up and out than try to suppress a cough. I know nothing about "teaching yourself not to cough" but it just doesn't sound healthy.

The coughing was deep and resembled a dog barking. Within a few weeks (and a visit to the doctor who dismissed it as nothing), the coughing subsided only to occur in sporadic incidences (especially in the evening). Now, more recently, I find myself sometimes feeling as if my throat (especially during the evening) has closed up and I am having to force air in by forceably swallowing. During these "attacks", I am literally gasping for air and trying to force air in.

Yes I take tums for heartburn but I dont like to over do it but its so hard trying to rest and its like the shortness of breath..like ill have to sit up just to breath at times..

s hard to breathe. The pain seems to penetrate my lung and make it hard for me to breathe. Then conversely the seems to be a slight inflammation under my bottom rib on my chest, this causes a sharp but less intense pain than the spot on my back. The two seem to be connected as they happen simultaneously, when I'm in any sort of sitting position and intensify probably three fold after I eat. The only way to alleviate the pain is to lie down on my back, or to stand up.

It would be wayyyyyyy to soon for baby to be causing breathing and rib pain if you don't even know if your pregnant yet.

I didn't get any sleep last night just because I was concentrating so hard to breathe then got up and worked an 8hr shift and have been crying and stressed all day, and idk how or why I'm still awake. I had another episode at work towards the end of the night. So I spoke to my dad about it and he says it may have been an anxiety attack ( it runs in the family, but its never happened to me).

I am 9 weeks today and when I throw up it's hard for me to breathe, during and after. What should I do to help control my breathing?

I to notice a shortness in breathe, not hard to breath but definitely laboring more. If I do anything strenuous I loss my breath very easily. Just attribute it to the meds.
