coughing

Avatar n tn He has the runny eyes, loud breathing, some coughing, snoring. He is also missing several teeth but my guess it was from his previous environment. Even with teeth missing, he prefers crunchy food to wet. Does not present with diarreha or vomiting.
152660 tn?1291755571 Herpes if very common and it will bring repeated colds, watering eyes, runny nose, and sneezing. It seems to be brought on by excess stress, and will hang around for a few weeks. This is something cats can handle unless there is yellow discharge from eyes or nose, then they will need to see the vet since it has turned from a viral to a bacterial infection which needs antibiotics.
Avatar f tn I've been getting allergic symptoms (runny nose, blocked sinuses, sneezing, itching eyes) on and off the past few years. I get it during spring, but I'm also getting symptoms at this time of year (I'm in the UK). I've noticed it's worse at my parents house, so it's unlikely to be dust (they dust more than me!) or their cat since I also have a cat. Any ideas?
1424545 tn?1282940300 my 1year old cat had pink eye when we ffound him, took him to the vet, cleared that up but even now he still has a red colored discharge from his eyes and constant runny nose. Im not sure what to do. he doesnt seem bothered by ir but im just not sure if its serious or not.
611067 tn?1458591483 (I was told to by my vet) my kitten is still kinda geting over cat flu she has manky eyes, but the vet said if she gets a runny nose and starts sneezing take her straight back and they will put her on Antibiotics. So just in case.... But things are looking good.... :) Wooohooo. But all 5 being ill.. woah, I thought It was bad mine being born with Cat flu, but it never got passed on to the others.
Avatar f tn Other symptoms of a kitty with URI include coughing, runny nose and watery eyes. Antibiotics is one of the things that could help your cat get through this, but you'd have to go to the vet. For home remedies and alternatives, here is a link, but I would ask a vet first. Not that I don't trust home remedies. It's just for confirmation purposes. You don't want to waste your time on something that may not work for your cat although it may work for others. http://www.
Avatar n tn Also, if you have a cat or dog, you could be getting repeated eye infections from either one. Check for runny eyes, and take them to a vet if they do. I got 2 or 3 eye infections from my cat before the eye doc asked me about pets. The cat's eyes were a little wet, but weren't red or anything. I treated him for an eye infection and his runny eyes stopped and my eye infections stopped coming back.
394966 tn?1233188764 The doctore have him on his pump and a liquid medication (not sure of the name) it is used for asthma as well. He is ok but gets in these bad coughing spells and it is like his eyes are gonna pop out. It makes him choke. How can I help him more with this??
Avatar n tn Plus ive had headaches, runny and blocked nose, watery eyes, itchy eyes and extremely bloodshot eyes that keep coming and going, and also a raspy voice sometimes. I have been to the doctors last week and they gave me hayfever tablets, but they don't seem to really work as im still feeling the same or sometimes slightly worse. Do you know what ive got, if it is just hayfever or a cold, or something else?
215342 tn?1287838418 1) 2-3 days of runny eyes, sneezing (not coughing!), runny nose... OK, so if you were in contact with someone who have whooping cough and you get these symptoms you dont even have to test for whooping cough, you have it, start treatment.... TEST: ONLY way to test for whooping cough is a lab test from some nasal mucus (take it from your nose with an earbud)..... 2) Coughing start together with VERY VERY VERY sticky THICK mucus...
Avatar n tn I have two cats with runny eyes and runny noses - They are both eating and drinking with maybe a very low grade temperature - is there anything we can give them OTC? We do have a new kitten that may have exposed the to new allergens, etc - but all cats are up to date on shots, etc.
12162520 tn?1426012596 I been feeling really sick my nose is runny my eyes are hurting me and I keep coughing I think i might have the flu. Should I go to the hospital?
Avatar f tn No coughing, no mucous, no runny eyes, no loss of appetite. Only sneezing. No change in environment that I can think of.
Avatar n tn My cat keeps sneezing and sometimes has watery eyes. It started today and. I googled it and apparentley he's got upper respiratory infection. Are there any home remedies or ways I can help him without taking him to the vet?
Avatar n tn I have a barking cough wheezing headache runny nose puffy under my eyes and 3 big bumps on the back of my tongue. Should I go to the Dr.? Ive had a cold for over a week and been wheezing for 4-5 days. coughing real bad it hurts my chest. Today I noticed 3 fairly large bumps on the back of my tongue that dont hurt. they are on both sides by my tonsils. Just wondering what this could be!
Avatar f tn About a week ago, I started experiencing choking on my own saliva, especially while trying to talk. My tongue stays sore approximately 50% of my waking hours, occasionally my throat hurts but not often. I have a dry hacking cough, mostly in the mornings and at night. Just over the past few days, I've noticed a swishing sound in my right ear. I've been wearing the push in ear plugs at work (12 hours at a time) taking them out occasionally then pushing them right back in.
Avatar n tn t for instance waking up in the morning with a runny nose or runny eyes. Try omeprazole before bed and see if that helps. Could take two of them and a 150 mg ranitidine, also before bed. If that helps, then also raise the head of your bed a foot and a half (may need to put a board under the mattress) and avoid eating for three to four hours before bed.
Avatar n tn Her Bottom Lip will swell, it is the lip and not the gums. And she has runny eyes (it is a clear discharge) and she has itchy, waxy ears. If she were a human I would think that she has hay-fever or some other allergy. But I am unable to identify what it could possibly be. As I said this does happen occasionally and each time terrifies me - as in the past she had the calicivirus - for which she was hospitalized over 10 days and was in critical condition.
Avatar m tn Syptoms usually begin with runny nose, watery eyes, congestion, sinus pressure, and excess flem. This typically supsides and I am left with a scrathcy voice coughing up these almost solid like flem balls. My voice usually gets better after I get one of these out but it doesn't last long. The doctor prescribes me antibiotics of some sort and this usually clears it up. I am concerned why I seem to be getting this more frequently and not sure if there could be some other underlying cause.
Avatar f tn My 14 month old had exactly the same thing...started with red eyes, into a high fever, no appetite, cough and runny nose. I had him seen twice and it is just a virus. The cough is just finally going away now. Make sure you keep him hydrated...that can account for the stools. Pedialight or milk is fine..not water as they need to electrolights. I can second what Margy said..this is a very very bad year for virus'. Lots of nasty things going around.
Avatar n tn No swollen or runny eyes. Is this allergies? I noticed she usually only sneezes when her nose touches objects or she sniffs. Sometimes mucous comes out with the sneeze.
Avatar n tn ALL OF A SUDDEN this evening my throat became scratchy, then I developed a cough and runny nose. After a few hours I could hear congestion in my chest. After a few cups of hot team with honey, lemon and a little brandy i spit up a greenish color mucus that eventually turned clear. Most of the rattle in my chest is gone, but my throat is sore and I do not have a fever. What is going on???
199954 tn?1294944669 It seems the cats are doing ok. Now there is another cat with watery eyes. No runny nose, no mucus or color. Its a tabby cat. Can I give the cat something or will it go away on its own?
Avatar f tn Getting a cold or the influenza virus is nothing to do with being pregnant. It is just coincidental that you have experienced this at the beginning of each of your pregnancies. We catch colds and flu when our immune system is lowered and we have been exposed to the airborne virus by people coughing and sneezing. Germs are also passed by they hands and if the virus is on your hands and you touch your eyes, you will have contaminated yourself by that way too.
