I had a chest cat scan that showed “Lung Granulomas noted”. Is this something to be worried about? Also, they never had me remove my bra with underwire and sequence on it for the test? Can that interfere?

We found out about the cause when our friends got an air purifier and their dogs all started coughing within a week of them starting to use it, took it out of the house and all the dogs STOPPED coughing. My 8 year old cat recently started coughing, not the ususal hair ball stuff, and I can hear him breath. His lung sound "wet" . I started giving him some over the counter hairball remedy and think he may have aspirated some liquid. Today is Sunday. My vet is not open today but will take him to emergency if I have to. He is drinking and eating, his gums are pink. Should I go to emergency?

I am 41, female and have smoked for almost 30 years. I am not a heavy smoker and basically don't even smoke a pack a day. In the past few years I've had a problem with coughing up phlem (all clear no blood) and shortness of breath, tiredness, lack of activity etc. I'm not over weight. In the past few months I developed this thing where i just can't stop coughing and when I do I spit gunk up all the time.
s pretty much too late. For treatable lung cancer and to detect it early on, a CAT scan needs to be performed. I also know that I am watched on a regular basis and they do CAT scans on me because I used to smoke (I know, stupid, but I started when I was a punk kid), and I am at high risk.
Also, a dry cough is an indication of lung cancer, and you need to be checked thoroughly by a respiratory specialist. Good luck.
I have been coughing for about 7 years. I have been to 3 doctors and been on meds for post nasal drip, asthma. I had my thyroid out in Oct; because it was enlarged and closing up my trachia but that didn't help. Have had xrays and cat scans and everything looks good. It seems to coming from my throat area. sometimes i cough so hard that i almost pass out. I'm really at wits end. Any suggestions?
My husband has had this bad cough and just won't stop coughing he went in to see the doctor and they gave him a cat scan and they saw a few spots on his lungs and also its swollen on the lungs, they refrerred him to see a Pulmonary speccialist next week he doesn't smoke he is a type 2 diabetic, I just heard today that his mother had lung cancer. How can I stop my cat from vomiting? She is taking Clavamox drops and was vomiting after each use. I spoke to her Vet and was told that I should give her Metochlopramide 5 MG first and wait for 20 minutes and then give her Clavamox. She is not eating and Vet suggested to give her baby food with the Clavomox. I am doing what I was told but my cat is still vomiting.
My 7 year old, female cat was acting normal and then all of the sudden she started coughing. She had her head low when she coughed. Nothing came up. It only lasted a minute or so (although it felt a lot longer). She immediately went back to normal and appears to be fine now. I went to the doctor with a cough and coughing up blood. A pet scan was done showing two small spots on one lung. Six months later a cat scan showed these spots had gotten smaller. I was told nothing to worry about. Has anyone heard of a type of cancer that shows up this way then going away to only show up later?

I was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer after removal of a lymph node in my neck this week. After months of testing for asthma (normal), a swallowing study,(normal) an upper GI (mild GERD) a laryngoscopy vocal nodules- (from all the coughing), a CatScan and ultrasound (found a nodule on the thyroid.), initial bloodwork was normal but the extended panel blood tests came back abnormal.
My doctor said for me to have a catscan. I am not coughing and and gave up smoking two years ago. I am 63 years old and am terrified. Does a density mean cancer.

in august i had caught the flu from a family member and was quite bad (fever, coughing fits, crackling in chest, coughing up fluid/flem for a month even when recovering) but i never noticed any swelling of glands, nor did i have a sore throat. In october i noticed a lump in the left side of my neck and when i went to the doctor she said she noticed another swollen node on same side and that my tonsils were a tad swollen and red, she said that they can swell after an infection has gone away.
