Coughing blood uti

Common Questions and Answers about Coughing blood uti

coughing

Avatar f tn With frequent urination and cramping I'd call your OB to be checked. You may have a UTI or even a vaginal infection that mimics UTI symptoms. Sometimes with pregnancy women get tastes in their mouth that normally they do not experience. If you're not coughing up blood or find blood in your stool, then I'd say you're ok to continue taking the zofran. However, the taste of blood is not so great so I'd ask for an alternative medication.
Avatar m tn you need to be following up on your anxiety with your provider. the risk of hiv or any std from a one time encounter is very low. odds are your uti isn' tjust a uti but actually a std. uti's in otherwise healthy males are not common. follow up properly with testing when you have time to cover all your bases.
Avatar m tn My son who is 12 is having episodes of coughing up blood every 60 days --it started in March of 2012 -- it sometimes starts with sharp pains in his right side (front) -- or sometimes he just coughs up blood -- the coughing up of blood lasts for about 20 mins -- he coughs up about 1/2 of a specimen container of blood -- he says it feels like there is something he needs to cough up -- he coughs -- not too hard - and then spits into a cup and it is blood.
Avatar m tn She was just playing hard at the dog park (she was submissive and ended up rolling around on her back a lot) with two neutered boys when she squatted to pee and I saw bright red blood come out. She then acted like she had to urinate a few more times and we just brought her home. She hasn't been frequently urinating recently, in fact her only other symptom was some new hacking/coughing over the past 48 hours.
Avatar f tn About sox weeks or so ago I got a cold, with a cough that lasted long after my cold symptoms. I went to my primary care physician for a UTI and he said if the coughing was for some reason caused by a bacteria the antibiotic he prescribed (Bactrim) would help that as well as the UTI. my chest to hurt from the coughing, but then it went away.
Avatar m tn Help - I am having serious issues with pain during urination, bm, coughing, sneezing, etc. I have a low grade fever, but tested negative for a UTI. Has anyone had this problem before?
Avatar f tn ve heard of girls having this happen and being fine, but it is always better to make sure with this. Coughing up blood can be a sign of a blood clot in the lung or something serious like that. Tell them everything. Stay calm and good luck!

Avatar f tn ve been noticing blood in my urine. I also have stomach pain every so often, lower back pain, and feel very tired during the day. This all started about three days into taking the medicine. I'm 19 years old and I'm a virgin so there is no chance of pregnancy. I am also up at college dorming so I don't want to make a fuss over this if it maybe a side-effect of the medicine. Thankyou for your time!

Avatar n tn Probably best to just see a doctor before purchasing a body scan. coughing up blood is not normal and requires evaluation. You will have to use your own judgement on how bad the situation is and as to whether she needs to be seen in an ER this weekend.
Avatar f tn But they said your cervix has a lot of blood vessels in it and anything can make it bleed like coughing or something I went to the doctors 4 times because it kept happening. He put me on pelvic rest ever since I was 14 weeks now 24 but I'm off it now.
1315258 tn?1289406905 IF you do not currently have a UTI then blood in the urine is concerning. It could be that you have another UTI, it could be that the urinary infection has traveled up into your kidneys or it could not be related to your previous UTI's and could be a symptom of something else (such as a prostate problem). If this is the case, and you are not currently being treated for a UTI then I think you might want to consider the emergency Evac.
Avatar m tn Hi there I would go to gp blood in saliva could be due to chest infection, coughing too much thus bursting tiny vessels in throat(not serious) if you have severe gastric disorder it could be coming from gastric is the blood bright red? If so this is prob due to strain from coughing,is the blood brown in colour if so this is old blood and should be checked out ASAP are you on medications that could be making gums bleed thus leaving slight blood in your salvia.
Avatar f tn Coughing up a touch of blood in your flehm is actually fairy common. Your throat can become slightly raw and spots can crack and bleed slightly. Most people when they have a bronchial / larynges infection will cough up yellowish flehm. coughing up large amounts of blood on the other hand is very bad. You will generally throw up blood though as it doesn't sit well in peoples stomach. medications that contain a cough suppressant may help over the short term to help reduce the irritation.

Avatar m tn Well, if you are coughing up blood, a responsible adult in your life should be told so you can be seen by a doctor. I doubt I have to state the obvious that inhalation of smoke from weed isn't good for you. but coughing up blood is something that requires medical care so you need to talk to your parents about seeing a doctor.
