This is very common and is a result of your vagus nerve being stimulated by the coughing resulting in a sudden drop in blood pressure as it temporarily causes your heart to pump less efficiently causing less blood to go to your brain. The drop in BP causes your symptom of feeling faint, it is very common and completely normal.
I am 35 years old male, smoker for 17 years, and this year started pretty tornado like for me. Problems started with blood running from my left nostril that i barely stopped. It was in march. well last Thursday i had a stress test everything was going good my target rate was 159 once i was in third stage my heart rate finaly reached 156 then my heart heart droped in seconds to 68 and i passed out was very thirsty, sick pain in stomach, face numb, and head pounding. Why did this happen? the last 3 to 4 months i have been very sleepy and blood pressure has been low.

Coughing problems are a common thing after bypass surgery, but can also be signs of something more serious developing. It could be irritation from the ventilator, I had a dry cough for about two to three weeks. It can be some of the medication, such as some brands of ace inhibitors. It could be an infection developing which is not uncommon when lung function is impaired from such surgery until recovery is more advanced.
Why have you decided against bypass surgery? blockages of 90,99,90% are severe and he could end up with a lot of dead heart muscle, causing heart failure. If the hernia isn't causing major problems, I would leave it alone. In many cases surgery isn't a long term fix. Just coughing can cause the muscle to re-open and cause the hernia again. I have a small one and the recommendation was to leave it alone.

i recently have found myself not able to really draw a full breath, even when sighing and yawning, some coughing fits as well. i had a pulminary function test done, and the results showed that my lung capacity is actually higher than normal for someone of my height / weight / age. but my oximetry test showed only 72% of the blood oxygen when it should be at least 90%? how is this possible and what does it mean?
Coughing from heart disease and especially coughing at night is a symptom of Congestive Heart Failure. Congestive Heart Failure can give a dry cough or produce white or clear mucus. Has he been retaining any water around his abdomen? If he is, it would be suspicious for left side congestive heart failure which would be more serious than right side congestive heart failure.
