coughing at rest

I get this all the time when i cough,having looked it up on the Internet I've put it down to the hormone that relaxes your muscles causes this pain.

What should I do to stop my cough as I heard from my doctor said that almost all coughing medicine is not safe for pregnant use. I am coughing very badly is most likely a dry cough. I can feel my lungs are tired and painful when I cough.

Not sure but would go and have it checked out. Around 24wks I too picked up a cold with lots of mucus for about a week. It started off with a red, burning throat. I went to the doctor just to make sure it wasn't tonsillitis, as this would've meant taking antibiotics. Luckily it was just a cold and I'm recovering without having to take any medication, just water and rest.

t have the cold/flu, just the cough. It is bad enough that it wakes me up at night. Any ladies that know how to get rid of it? Thanks in advance.

8 months ago I started to notice my heart fluttering at night, usually at rest. It was occasional but has become more frequent, and now it is several times a day, definitely worse at night. Hi, I am a 32 year old woman, who has bee struggling for quite some time now. I have a lot of crazy symptoms, sneezing gives me pins & needles in ribs strongly but that can extend to any part of my body, long standing neck pain & headaches.. the list goes on... The main reason I am seeking guidance, is the way I jitter. At first, I struggled to differentiate it from my heart beat is was like a feeling inside, as it has grown stronger it is visibly obvious to myself and others.

My 2 year old kid has been coughing most days at night? Anyone know what it could be? Anyone know how to get in touch with a pediatrician over the phone or web? Would not mind getting an opinion from home as my next appointment is not for a month.

I dont have asthma, i just start coughing at random.. sometime i could be just on the computer and it will start. Sometimes my chin will start itching during it, and the mucous is always clear if any at all. Not sure what it is, but im tierd of it. I really want to get back on my workouts but cant. See a Dr for your health issues, they are not HIV related. You can test now for HIV and you will have your result. You can never use symptoms for HIV.

but spend anywhere between 2-8 hours coughing at night.. it is not a dry cough, in fact he seems to be bringing up a lot of mucus.. people have described it as an old mans cough and I would agree. it all started when he has a severe throat and chest infection... which cleared up with antibiotics, but the cough stayed.. this was 6 MONTHS AGO.. and he has not had one night since where he hasnt coughed. I have taken him to the doctors more times then i can remember..

They think he has broncatis. All test show that his heart rate doesn't drop when he blacks out. At least that is what the EKG showed at the emergency room. It seems to be pretty common but no one will answer my question. Does it go away when the cough does or am I to worry the rest of our lives everytime he coughs he will black out.

I've been 4 days sick having cold symptoms and coughing but no fever at all. Now I feel better concerning cold symptoms but cough is worsening!! I can see some yellow sputum upon coughing with wheezing all the time and a little bit chest pain maybe because of excessive coughing.. What am I supposed to do now??

A cough supressenat should be administered. Better to err on the side of caution and give another day of rest at home. Nothing at school is that important.

I'm 15 weeks 2day and I have had a terrible cold and cough which became worse on Sunday. I have been taking OTC medication (my Obstet. and Pharmacist said it's safe) to dissolve the mucus in my air passages but it doesn't reduce the coughing. severe coughing that has progressed to periodic (probably 6-8 per day) coughing fits that sometimes cause me to vomit and have difficulty breathing. I am still in this phase. I went to my high risk doctor on February 19th 2015 for my follow up after cerclage. My stitch is the only thing keeping him in my belly. I was placed in the hospital right away. No pain bleeding or contractions. So now I'm stuck at the hospital on bed rest bored and going crazy. Anyone in the same or similar boat?

I've been coughing for 2 months and still going. It's almost only at rest, not when I speak or exercise. IT feels like a tickle, most of the time like it's from the deep parts of the troat. Clearing my throat doesn't work, only coughing. It's driving me crazy. Some clear mucus does come up, sometimes a bit of yellow too, and sometimes nothing. No other symptoms. No breathlessness, no blood.. Have been to my GP, waiting for the results of a mucus sample.

Please know that coughing (unles it's a hairball) or panting is NOT ok in your cat. We had an upper resp, virus go through our house and 2 cats were fine. The 3rd I thought had mucus in his throat or trouble breathing due to stuffy nose like the rest and didn't realise his distress till he coughed up a frightening gob of green phlegm. Bob spent last night @ the vet w/pneumonia. happily (so far-say prayers for my boy) all signs looking good for him and he's coming home tonight.

I am a smoker for 9 years..but never experienced coughing like this. I cough severley only at night while I'm sleeping..but then the coughing gets better during the day. for some time know i have been getting chest pain when at rest! about 3 years ago i had my left lung lining removed. i thought that this might be the problem` but don`t think it is, i get pain in the left side of my chest which travels across to the right side. i then get pains in my shoulders up the side of my neck & in my jaw, it feels like a sever stabbing pain or like something is trying to get out of my chest!! it last for about 25 mins, i know it is`t heart burn or anything like that.

Hi everyone, I'm a 21 year old / male. I keep experiencing body tremors throughout my chest, stomach, upper arms and thighs throughout the day. They last for up to an hour and it gets very very annoying. I have a past history of anxiety disorder however it has been a long time since I've had a panic attack.
